Ouch tough results and no-one as PotM? Harsh but with those results it's understandable.
Keep fighting! Stay out of the relegation zone!

Europa League Matchday 3

So, the 3rd game in the Europa League group stage. Group F is wide open so no one knows what could be happening tonight.

Arsenal vs Eintracht Braunschweig

Arsenal have been favourites for every game in this competition so far. But having lost 3-1 to Feyenoord, who Braunschweig comfortably beat 3-0, they may be a little more cautious this time out.

Club Brugge vs Feyenoord

Brugge sit bottom of the table so far with a mere point gained against Braunschweig. Feyenoord on the other hand have 3, having beaten Arsenal but lost 3-1 to Braunschweig.

First Half
Kick Off - 1
Arsenal kick off here at the Emirates Stadium.

Kick Off - 1
After a short delay Feyenoord are doing the same over in Belgium.

- GOAL! - Daryl Janmaat - 39 - Club Brugge 0-1 Feyenoord
Feyenoord the favourites here and finally, after 39 minutes they have the breakthrough, Janmaat with the goal - it's a great one too. Djordevic puts it out wide, Janmaat was in a position to cross but no, instead he decided to lob the goalkeeper elegantly and he is completely mobbed by his teammates.

The first half has not seen much significant action, so now we bring the second half.

- GOAL! - Timmy Simmons - 62 - Club Brugge 1-1 Feyenoord
They're not known for their beautiful football are they, Brugge? It's not beautiful football that's got them level here, the corner goes in, headed into the path of Simmons, taps in fro, a yard out.

- Injury - Dennis Kruppke - 69
Dennis Kruppke will have to go off injured here. The Braunschweig captain seems to have pulled a muscle but he should be fine.

- GOAL! - Luka Djordevic - 90 - Club Brugge 1-2 Feyenoord
A late goal here means that Brugge fans will be heading back disappointed, 2-1 to Feyenoord! Brugge have again dominated. Djordevic gets the goal late though, and Feyenoord may now top the group if the Arsenal vs Braunschweig game ends 0-0.

- Red Card! - Cesar Arzo - 91
More late drama here as a red card is shown to Arzo! No horror tackle here though, he continuously shouted at the linesman for failing to spot a foul in the build up to that late winner.

This is a crap update, nothing happened *Disclaimer* These are the words of Louis himself, and they do not reflect my own views.

UEFA Europa League Matchday 4

Since every damn game is so close to each other, here's another Europa League match.

http://static.weltsport.net/bilder/wappen/mittel/217.gifhttp://www.midfielddynamo.com/images/clubs/england/arsenal_100x100.png

Eintracht Braunschweig vs Arsenal

Well previously Arsenal would have been expected to coast past Braunschweig. This time, after the 0-0 draw at the Emirates, it will be different, and Braunschweig still sit above Arsenal in the table.

http://www.fifavoetbal.net/forum/uploads/profile/photo-thumb-4116.pnghttp://s.footytube.com/channels/chan_thumbs/med/4-club-brugge-kv-219.gif

Feyenoord vs Club Brugge

The last game saw a lot of drama with a last minute goal and a last minute sending off. This time Brugge will be out for revenge, but still sitting at the bottom of the table with a meagre point, it may be tougher than it sounds.

Let's get on with the games.

- GOAL! - 38 - Olivier Giroud - Eintracht Braunschweig 0-1 Arsenal
Arsenal lead! It's Giroud with the goal, and a fantastic goal too. Good play by Ozil, Arteta, Cazorla, it catches out Kessel, goes to Giroud, and from miles away, he spoons the ball over Langerak to take the lead. 1-0.

- GOAL! - 44 - Mirko Boland - Eintracht Braunschweig 1-1 Arsenal
The lead did not last! Ramsey has his head in his hands, that goal was his fault! No danger really, and Ramsey just hits a wayward pass, straight at Perthel, he lays it off to Mirko Boland and Boland fires it past Szczesny. 1 each!

- GOAL! - 45+2 (P) - Harmeet Singh - Feyenoord 1-0 Club Brugge
1-0 to Feyenoord! On the stroke of half time this might have a massive psychological effect on Brugge. Singh had a great chance to head in from about a yard away from goal, but the goalkeeper and a defender both clattered into him, and the referee rightly gave a penalty. The keeper went the right way but it was just too good a penalty to stop.

Second Half
- GOAL! - 46 - Luka Djordevic - Feyenoord 2-0 Club Brugge
Told you! A massive effect took place on Brugge who are sinking without trace, 2-0 now! A bit of luck but a big mistake from the Brugge keeper Kujovic. Jordy Clasie had a chance, he was tackled, but Kujovic missed the ball and Djordevic rolled in for 2-0.

- GOAL! - 87 - Anass Achahbar - Feyenoord 3-0 Club Brugge
That seals it! 3-0, a goal from Achahbar, the 20 year old! He was played in by Clasie, and he calmly put it in the bottom right corner to seal the win.

Braunschweig luck for a win over Nurnberg

Karim Bellarabi in Nurnberg's 2-1 home win last season

Braunschweig head coach Benno Mohlmann will be relying on "a few slices of huge luck" to help Eintracht Braunschweig to just their fourth win of the season when 1.FC Nürnberg come round to the Eintracht Stadion on Saturday. A worrying return of just four points from their six matches in September and October, Mohlmann knows that despite Die Lowen's recent win over Hoffenheim and Europa League form, keeping Arsenal at bay, Braunschweig will need to improve their current form if they are to beat the drop for the second season running.

Eintracht's previous fixture, away at Hamburger SV delivered one of their only points on the road, the result being a 1-1 draw with fellow mid table outfit HSV. There was nothing to be had for the Lower Saxony club in any other away games with all their 3 league wins so far coming at the Eintracht Stadion. Mohlmann, nonetheless, is unlikely to make many changes on the tactical front, where his 4-2-4 possession based tactic inspired an end of season run last year that eventually kept BTSV up.

The visitors are attempting to recover from their previous two games, losses against Olympique Lyonnais in the Europa League and Hannover 96 in the Bundesliga. Prior to that, Der Club had won two games on the trot, their first fixture against Lyon and a 4-3 thriller at Hoffenheim. Their mini-winning streak came to a halt as they were held at home by HSV, with the 1-1 score being the same as Braunschweig's result against the same side a week later. And while their hosts this time around would regard it as a big achievement just to stay afloat in the top flight once again, Nürnberg have their sights set considerably higher, after coach Michael Wiesinger led the side to a fantastic 5th place finish in the 2013/14 season that meant qualification for the Europa League. Despite his achievements last term, Wiesinger's Nürnberg are down in 15th this year, and sit bottom of the Europa League Group I, meaning that the coach is not too confident ahead of the two side's clash.

"Braunschweig are a good, solid team. They're still riding a wave of euphoria after their recent performances against Arsenal and their cup wins, they've got a great set of fans behind them, and our fans are obviously still pleased to have had a good league campaign last year. I think that last year Braunschweig were really up against it and all the odds were against them so now that people have higher expectations it'll be good to see how they do."

Against Eintracht, Nürnberg will likely have to take the next step towards their target starter Stefan Strandberg is also ruled out, with a broken foot suffered during training back in September, meaning that Mergin Mavraj could be set for a third Bundesliga start in the season. Star player Genki Omae, signed from Fortuna Düsseldorf, will be in the starting line up again, though Thomas Dahne is expected to start in goal ahead of veteran Rafael Schafer.

Braunschweig's Benno Mohlmann has admitted that his side will need luck to win, but the win will be very important for the outcome of their season.

"This game will be very important for us, against a side that are probably on a similar level to us, but below us in the table. They did well last season, but to be honest not really this year. None of us are on good form either, so I'm anticipating a draw. I want a win though, and we need a win, so with a few slices of huge luck we can win this."
Fantastic update mate writing so well! Decent draw against Arsenal too
Quality updates, this is a really good story! :)

November - Revival

Braunschweig were needing to do a lot better in the Bundesliga, still without an away win. Would they change that or would they slump to more defeats?

Things are never easy for Eintracht Braunschweig. Whatever they can do it seems they won't, but sometimes, everything all goes right for them. In this game, that wasn't the case. But Hoffenheim themselves weren't exactly doing well, having lost their last 3 games. Braunschweig weren't making things easy anyway, as Hristo Stoichkov, who replaced Markus Gisdol in the summer, encouraged his side from the sidelines, and Joseph-Claude Gyau put Stoichkov's men in front, making it 1-0 after 14 minutes with a rebound from Sebastian Rudy's long effort. Braunschweig rallied, and Mirko Boland fired past Casteels with power. Just half an hour into the game Hoffenheim went down to ten men, Afriyie Acquah being the man shown a red card for a dangerous lunge on a clean through Mirko Boland having already been booked. It just took 2 minutes for Braunschweig to take advantage as a Dennis Kruppke volley proved to be the winning goal with an hour still to play.

With the famous HSV sitting comfortably near the top of the table, the meeting at the Imtech Arena should have been a breeze for Die Rothosen, given Braunschweig's away form. But Die Lowen fought on the day and with their performance in Hamburg few would disagree that they deserved to take all 3 points. They did take the lead too, through Dominique Heintz. His header from a Kratz corner was cleared off the line but straight back into his path and he knocked it in for his first Braunschweig goal. Hamburg came back, but it would take the half time interval and an injury to Braunschweig's Zambian midfielder Rainford Kalaba for it to come, as Magnus Troest couldn't clear a corner properly and Marcell Jansen lashed the ball home sensationally with an acrobatic volley to earn a point.

This match was bigged up to be one of the most important clashes of the season for both these two sides, Nurnberg who had slipped down to 15th after their 5th place finish last year, and Braunschweig. Nurnberg's Alexander Milosevic picked up the first booking 40 minutes in, and Timo Gebhart got the second after an hour, from which free kick Braunschweig started the move that led to Gianluca Korte being clean through and finishing off for the only goal of the game. Ciro Capuano managed to pick up a booking too, after 66 minutes, which was his fourth of the season but despite the threat of going a man light Braunschweig's defence held firm and their attack ventured forth, and in the end it should have been more.

If the Nurnberg game wasn't as important as it was made out to be, this one certainly was. Braunschweig away at Hannover in the Niedersachsen Derby, and a possibility for Die Lowen to get their first away victory of the season in their rival's backyard. They did just that. It took just 7 minutes for the home side to go behind, as Christopher Quiring silenced much of the 49,00 crowd by walloping the ball into the top corner. Hannover tried as hard as they could, and got 14 shots off to Braunschweig's 6, but in the first hour that they were on top in, they managed just 3 on target, and Braunschweig took advantage of their poor form in front of goal, though Mirko Boland was a little lucky as Sascha Riether's clearance deflected off him and took him past the goalkeeper. There was no luck involved for his second a minute later, as Said Benkarit played the ball across the defence and the unmarked Boland scored with a fine strike to the near post to take the game.

The climb up the table has started! Nice work this month mate
A productive month, hopefully you can maintain this form :)

Club Brugge vs Arsenal

Now we're really getting into the 'nitty-gritty' stages here. Arsenal will have to get all 3 points here in Belgium or the final game will be crucial - they would need to beat Feyenoord by 3 goals to beat them, if they lose tonight.

Feyenoord vs Eintracht Braunschweig

So. The first game was a triumphant win for Braunschweig, and now they are on good league for they may have the edge again here. Feyenoord are in 2nd, behind just Vitesse, in the Eredvisie though, having beaten Ajax 2-0 last week. Let's get on with the games.

- Yellow Card! - 8 - Antonio Ghomsy - Club Brugge 0-0 Arsenal
Free kick to Arsenal down in the corner quadrant. It's a foul by Ghomsy, on Bacary Sagna. Late challenge when Sagna was in a position to cross, and the yellow card comes out, Ghomsy is in the referee's book.

- Yellow Card - 16 -Carl Hoefkens - Club Brugge 0-0 Arsenal
Brugge pick up their second booking of the game already. It's Hoefkens who's got it, for tripping Ayew. Arsenal constantly on the attack, Cazorla's free kick... headed over.

- Yellow Card - 39 - Dair Vrancic - Feyenoord 0-0 Eintracht Braunschweig
And now Braunschweig get their first booking. It's Vrancic, the Bosnian, who goes into the ref's book. He stopped the counter attack cynically by clattering into Luka Djordevic.

- Yellow Card - 45 - Gianluca Korte - Feyenoord 0-0 Eintracht Braunschweig
It's the second booking of the game here at De Kuip. Gianluca Korte is the offender, he upended Mokotjo over at the corner flag.

Club Brugge 0-0 Arsenal
Feyenoord
0-0 Eintracht Braunschweig

- Yellow Card - 59 -Timo Perthel
- Feyenoord 0-0 Eintracht Braunschweig
Timo Perthel goes into the book now, we've seen a lot of fouls - not any goalmouth action though. Perthel tripped Jordy Clasie, who, don't forget, was sent off in the first meeting between these two.

- Yellow Card - 67 - Davide Santon - Club Brugge 0-0 Arsenal
Arsenal have finally got a person booked here, it's Davide Santon. He had a chance to score from a header but jumped unfairly with the defender for leverage and play has been pulled back by referee Orkan Hategan.

- Yellow Card - 77 - Daryl Janmaat - Feyenoord 0-0 Eintracht Braunschweig
And now it's Feyenoord's turn for their first booking of the day, Janmaat the offender. Feyenoord have committed 17 fouls so it's a miracle no one's been booked before this, Janmaat just pulled back Eichner.

- GOAL! - Timo Perthel - 83 - Feyenoord 0-1 Eintracht Braunschweig
Finally a goal here - and it comes late on! Surely Feyenoord don't have enough left in them to grab an equaliser, 1-0 to Braunschweig. The cross came in to the far post, Eichner puts it back to the near post where Perthel is lurking to squeeze in the winner.
