When I arrived home after the match, the lights in my apartment were already on.
Did I leave them on before I left I wondered?
I opened the door, walked through the entrance hall and up the stairs… I could hear muffled sounds coming from the bedroom.
I took a deep breath and pushed open the door.
Mmmm-mmmmmmmmmmm!!!
Jia Li was lying on the bed, blindfolded, her hands and feet bound in cable ties and duct tape sealing her mouth shut.
"Shhh babe, it's me!!" I say re-assuringly.
I removed the tape and blindfold and they relief on her face is plain to see when her eyes lock on to mine.
"Babe, are you ok?? I asked.
"I'm fine, they didn't harm me… They dumped me here at half time in the match, saying that it was good for me that you listened! Jason, what were they talking about?" she questioned.
"Who babe, who are they?" I tried to make it sound like I hadn't a clue what she was talking about but I could tell she knew I was hiding something.
B-rrrrrinnnnnnggggggg
My phone rang.
"Hello?"
It was Castral.
"Jason, my friend. You struck it lucky. I had a slightly more urgent matter to attend to and your girlfriend was a slight annoyance I didn't need." He said, rather chillingly.
"Just know this, you won't be so lucky next time." He finished before hanging up.
I sighed a sigh of relief that Jia Li was un-harmed but with an undertone of frustration that this twat was able to come in to my home and do this.
I need to make sure it doesn't happen again……..

After the craziness surrounding the derby, I got my head back in the game and the next few results were sensational.
The first win over Juventus on the fourth attempt being a particular highlight.
