AUGUST REVIEW

After a disappointing Super Cup defeat to Juventus, we picked up where we left off in the league and were top after maximum points from 2 games.



Christian Benteke suffered a broken arm against Lazio and will be out for up to 6 weeks.



The Champions League draw was made in Geneva and we got a relatively tough group for our first season back amongst Europe's elite.



Bayern Munich - last season's beaten finalists will expect to top the group with ease but I'm hoping we can challenge them and spring a surprise.



FC Basel will provide tough opposition especially with our loanee Gabriel Iancu amongst their ranks.



AZ Alkmaar surprised everyone by pipping Ajax to the Eredivise title last season and make up our group.

Ouch that is tough to lose Benteke for 6 weeks, hopefully you can soldier on without him!

Great Story so far mate, really enjoyed reading it. You've made some excellent signings as well, I can't wait to see how good Obiang turns out as he was a beast on my FM13 save.

SEPTEMBER REVIEW

A blistering month saw us finish September top of both Serie A and our Champions League group without dropping a point.

The 3-0 hammering of Bayern Munich at the San Siro shows how far this group of players have come in such a short space of time.

Undoubtedly Mateo Kovacic takes the September POTM award, he has been in top form since Christian Benteke has been injured… I'll let the stats speak for themselves.

OCTOBER REVIEW

Serie A - 10 games, 10 wins.

Champions League - 3 games, 3 wins.



I knew I had a talented bunch of players here but they're surpassing even my most optimistic predictions of our position at this stage.

1 more point secures a passage to the last 16 of the Champions League, Benteke is back from injury and has scored 3 in 2 since his return, everything is rosy at the San Siro.

Long may it continue!

Wins over Roma in the league and AZ Alkmaar in the Champions League were further confidence boosters before a couple of huge games.



Alexis Sanchez and Giacomo Bonaventura did the damage against the Giallorossi after falling behind to a Gervinho goal while braces for Benteke and Juan Jesus, an Eduardo Salvio strike and an OG ensured easy passage to the Champions League knockout stage.



Next up - for the second season running - is the Milan derby before hosting Juventus.
