December 6th

It's been almost 6 months since I was manager of Newcastle. What flew by so quickly during the football season took ages for an unemployed Italian in England. Nobody wanted me, save a few low league sides in the npower league 2 and such. But here I was, taking a cab into London, knowing my future in football was on the line. I had my doubts about my future but I also had doubts about my skills. The cab passed the Emirates Stadium, where not a month ago my Newcastle team thrashed Arsenal 4-1. The magpies simply got better when I left, same squad, but completely different results. They're now riding high in 3rd place, just 2 points out of 1st. And here I am, forgotten. Nobody remembered the creator of this great team, just Emmanuel Fernandez, Waldemar, and Elvis. Nobody remembers that if it wasn't for me, they wouldn't be playing in England. No one but Q.P.R. Q.P.R. have had a dreadful start to the season, just 5 points out of the relegation zone but 11 points away from playoff spots. I can't see them as a long-term side, but maybe as a team where I could get my rep up so I could move back up into the upper echelons in football.

I have to say, the facilities at Loftus Road weren't that bad at all. The chairman came out to shake my hand and usher me too his office, where he and the ass man at Q.P.R were. They asked me some questions about the transfer money and the wage budget, and I answered what they wanted me too hear. They both seemed impressed, hopefully I can impress them with some good performances this year, if they're willing to put any trust into me.

This morning I got the text to confirm it, I was now manager of Q.P.R. I was told I had to meet the press at Loftus road. I was devastated by the thought of more conferences, but I wasn't too worried, it was just a championship side, right? It was a necessary ordeal, or at least that's what I thought. Well, I was wrong, all the questions save a few were about Newcastle, and I told them exactly what I was thinking. Was that the smart thing, I don't know, but you can certainly read about it in the papers tomorrow morning. There must have 15 journalists there for a club who could be going down this season, it was absolutely crazy.

Note: This is meant to be a short update, as the next updates will contain no FM and all writing, seeing as I'm going to be away for a couple days.
Unlucky about getting sacked but hopefully you will bring success to QPR!

Totti Lashes Out at Newcastle

Francesco Totti has attacked the Newcastle Board of directors at his first press conference at Loftus Road today, claiming that his sack at the end of last season was completely unwarranted. When asked what he though of Newcastle at his first press conference, Totti smashed the Newcastle directors, Peter Buckley in particular, by saying "I was astonished at the attack that I had been fired considering I was in my first season as manager and I was just a couple points away form accomplishing the goal that the board has set out for me". The journalists, surprised, responded by asking Totti why the performance of the club had increased so sharply this season. Totti, once again, was frustrated, responding by saying, "Well, the squad has obviously just gelled together, and they are on a hot streak. The team playing is the team that I built, with the tactics I employed. They've just been given more time, which was what I was requesting from the board. I'm not surprised at all that they've been doing so well, because the squad he (Gary Boyer) has to work with is one of the most talented I've ever seen. If you look at the average rating table, you won't be surprised to see Waldemar, Elvis Skopljanac, and Emanuel Fernandez right at the top for the club, all players that I signed, all with an average rating of 7.35 or over. In fact, Elvis and Waldemar are both over 7.6 with 5 Man of the Matches between them. Those are the players I developed, and to think that they fired me because of it pains me to this very day". Francesco has received backing from Tottenham Hotspur manager Slaven Bilic, who when asked about the issue told Sky reporters that "Although we (Tottenham), had a great record against the Magpies last year, I think Totti is a great manager and a great developer of talent, and I think he'll do well with Q.P.R. It wouldn't surprise me if he turned around their fortunes and maybe even got them into the playoffs. Others have been not so supportive, but the question for the time being remains how well Totti can do at his new club, Queens Park Rangers, over what he could have done with what one could call an overachieving Newcastle squad. Q.P.R face underachieving Chesterfield in their next match, but will have to do all they can to get three points in what is predicted to be poor weather. After that game, The London-based club have three straight away games, Sheff Wednesday, Leeds, and Bolton before closing out the year against 1st place Huddersfield.

C'mon Francesco, lead QPR to safety (and perhaps beyond)!
He gave me a tour of the facilities, which included St. James Park, a stadium whose name always hung up in the balance.

I think it's calld Sport Direct Stadium :P which sounds awful

It was called the Sports Direct Stadium last year, but it changed back to St. James Park after Wonga.com bought the naming rights. Ridiculous, I know. Thanks for the positive feedback! :)
