Waldemar looks awesome!
Hopefully he will do very well for you!
Not quite the perfect month, good win against Liverpool, and unlucky at united and Tottenham, good signings, making a profit with ince & co, keep it up!

February 2020

Well, I had high hopes for this month, but once again, this month was a steaming pile of mediocrity. We won some and we lost some, and right now, it looks like we're headed right for a mid-table finish, well below for my goal for the season, but about right where the board want me too be. There were no real standout performers this month either, everybody was just average. We keep drifting farther and farther from Europe League spots, and It would take a run of form similar to the one we had during the fall for us to make Europa League. It seems like the F.A. Cup is our only hope.

Analysis
Well, I can't say it's been a great month, our form has been really inconsistent once more. I was worried about the fixture against Stoke away, but we did really well in the back and Emmanuel Fernandez got a key goal to give us a 2-0 win. After that, I was expecting a win against Lecister, but we couldn't find the net despite the fact that we were the dominant side. Our poor form continued against Southampton, who've taken all 6 points from us this season. Thankfully, an 89th minute goal saved our ass against 19th place Swansea, a game we needed all three points from. Against West Brom, we took an early lead but our tired defense collapsed later into the game, with 2 goals coming in the last 10 minutes of the game. Our form in the Europa League was much better, with loss in Turkey followed up by a 2-0 win at home, with Maninho grabbing a goal in the 93rd minute to send us through. Besides the results, this month was really boring. We didn't have any outstanding performers, so the analysis section for this month is really short.

We're currently 11th in the table, 3 points behind 10th place West Brom and 18 points behind 5th Southampton with a game in hand.

Player of the Month

Our Player for the month of February is

Emmanuel Fernandez, who scored 4 times this month, which earned him one man of the match award. He's thrived with Ante Rebic and Waldemar on the flanks.
Great update :) but again not a very good month with some disappointing results.

The Tyne-Wear Derby

Vs.

MT: Welcome back to the second Tyne-Wear derby of the season. Yes, you heard right, it's Newcastle vs Sunderland at the St. James Park. It's Martin Tyler and Alan Smith commenting on today's game, and we hope to bring you an absolute classic. The atmosphere here is unreal, and the crowd is certainly prepared for a brilliant match.

AS: Well, It looks a brilliant game, and one of great importance for both clubs. Newcastle are stuck in 11th, with Sunderland just 4 places above their Magpie foes. A win for either club could cause a real rumble in the table. Well, the lineups have been released, here they are.

MT: Well, Newcastle have opted for their 4-5-1, and the key player today has to be Waldemar. This lad, just 19, is one of the most technically gifted players on the planted, and he has the potential to make a huge impact. Of course, there is Maninho, who is always a threat to score. However, Andrew Wisdom is in the team, which comes as a surprise considering Javier D'Amico has been the regular starter this season.

AS: Southampton have gone for a more counter based formation, the 4-2-3-1 today, with the most surprising inclusion in the team being Dominic Beradi. Jim Moran, who scored the winner in the last Tyne-Wear derby, gets a rest. Also, new signing Nic Cornoa lines us at left back, a player Francesco Totti was interested in signing for his Newcastle. However, Corona snubbed the Toon and has joined Sunderland. Now, the players are ready, and we're ready for a classic at the St. James Park.

MT: And we're off! (1)

AS: Now it's Roberts, running down the middle of the pitch, he's gotten past Yann M'Villa. He has a go from range, saved comfortably by Alex McCarthy. My, what a goal that would have been if that got past the Newcastle Keeper. (8)

MT: Skopjanac has it now. He crosses towards the middle! Headed away by Nic Corona and now Sunderland are on the attack. Roberts has it again, he cuts across the middle and has a go, well wide. Newcastle really need to focus on marking Roberts though, he could score if he gets another chance. (18)

AS: Now it's Alex McCarthy to take the free kick. He looks for Yann M'Villa, and It's stolen by Dominic Beradi! Beradi is through on goal here, he must score! He goes for the chip, oh that's really poor. Beradi is shaking his head in shock, that was a real chance for Sunderland to take the lead. (21)

MT: And that's half time! (45)

AS: Well, once again, just like the last time out, Newcastle are getting totally pulverized by Sunderland. They haven't had a foothold in the game at all here, and Totti's pep talk really needs to spark his team, or else Sunderland will be going home with three points.

MT: I completely agree with you Alan, Newcastle have been dreadful and Totti doesn't seem to be too happy with his side.

AS: Sunderland have kicked off the second half (46)

MT: Iker Munain with the ball now near half-field, he's passed to Nedlev, who's found a wide open Beradi out on the right flank! Dominico goes right by Elvis, and his shot goes... JUST WIDE! Best chance of the game right there, and Sunderland are in absolute control. It's hard to see Newcastle escape with a point here. (50)

AS: GOAL for sunderland, it's a tap in from Dominico Beradi. But NO, the assistant has his flag up, great play from Sunderland but yet again the goal does not come. It was brilliant play by Buckley, who found Beradi on the wing. Beradi squared it back at the top of the box to Buckley, who's shot was well saved but fell back to an offside Beradi. So close for Sunderland. (55)

MT: Signs of life from Newcastle here, a dangerous cross from Elvis has to be cleared away. (57)

AS: Ante Rebic has a free kick from just outside the box, but the angle is a little bit too tight to shoot. Rebic floats in a cross, and it's headed away back to Waldemar at the top of the box. Waldemar takes a touch and

MT: GOAL for Waldemar, his first for the club and he's obviously delighted. The crowd is going wild here at the St. James Park, it's Newcastle's first chance and Newcastle's first goal. It's an absolute corker by the young Brazilian, a half volley that found it's way into the roof of the net, an unstoppable effort. (71)

AS: Clayton to Munain, Munain here. Oh, he's played a perfect pass to Goretzka, who's through on goal! Goretzka can't miss! McCarthy comes up HUGE for Newcastle, best save of the night! Goretzka's got his head in his hands. (84)

MT: And that's full time! The Newcastle fans are delighted and so is Francesco Totti, who winss his first major derby with Newcastle in front of his home fans. It's a fantastic result for the Toon, and Sunderland leave empty handed despite having 25 shots.

1-0
Edged the win there, nice one Jason!

Very interesting story, especially with the fact it is Newcastle. Glad that you beat the scum.

March 2020

Well, besides one fixture, this month was a fantastic month. We won some key games in the league, continued our fantastic run in the F.A. Cup, and Put up a valiant effort against the best team in Germany. We've also beaten Liverpool again, a team I have contempt for. I just hate Liverpool, because they battered us 3-0 earlier on in the year. We've managed to win the Tyne-Wear Derby as well, which was described in the last update. What a game for Waldemar to get his first goal in, the fans were absolutely chuffed with that. Pardon my use of a British word, but the result was just fantastic. Also, the end of the season is fast approaching. The year has flew by, and despite not doing as well as I had originally hoped, I'm pretty proud of the team. However, I might not be in such a good mood after our dreadful stretch of matches. Chelsea, Arsenal, and Man City.

Analysis

Well, it was an absolutely brilliant month, if you exclude one result from the calendar. Unfortunately, that result tarnished what would be a perfect domestic month. We let in 4 goals against an Everton side that we crushed 3-0 the last time out, The boys forgot to defend, It was pitiful. All the fans that had traveled to see us play left around the 60th minute. They were tired of watching our miserable display and frankly, so was I. Other than that though, this month was a pretty great one, highlighted by our 2-0 win against Liverpool in the F.A. CUp. I was a little bit worried coming into this match, considering Liverpool are by no means and easy opponent, but we destroyed them from the start, with Johannes Sariola scoring a fantastic full volley that seemed to glide past a befuddled Daryl Shanahan. The defense kept a clean sheet and to the delight of many, we're headed to Wembley for the F.A. Cup semifinal against Chelsea. In the other semi-final are Ipswitch and Man Utd. The bookies think it'll be a Man Utd Chelsea final, but all my money is on Newcastle and Ipswitch, just watch it happen. In the Premier League this month, we managed to take 6 out of 9 points, with a crucial win in the Tyne-Wear derby against Sunderland. We, just like last time out, were playing extremely poorly, but instead of Sunderland grabbing the first goal, it was Waldemar, our brand new Ajax Recruit who scored a beautiful volley. It may have been the result of all the training for his finishing, which unlike his other technical attributes, is not yet world class. I was also quite satisfied for our 2-0 win away at West Ham, where we were in control throughout the match. Unfortunately, we are out of the Europa Leauge at the second knockout stage, but I was still delighted by the aggregate score, considering we were playing the best team in Germany. Dortmund boast the likes of Vikton Fischer, Marko Reus, and Ray Power, and to come just a goal away from moving on is a satisfactory result, and I was still proud of the boys, especially Pino Zini, for putting up thier best effort. The next update will be a statistical run down, where we will show the best players up to this point, so enjoy that. Those stats could take a real nosedive in our horrendous stretch of matches, where we play City, Arsenal, and Chelsea twice. Hopefully, we can still manage to take some points, because those 3 teams are are top 4 and will all be playing in the Champions League next summer.

We're currently 11th in the table, level on points with 10th placed West Brom and 16 points behind 5th place Southampton with a game in hand on both teams.

The F.A. Cup Semi Final draw has pitted us against Chelsea. If we beat them, then we go on to play either Ipswich or Man Utd.

Player of the Month

Our player of the month is

captain Johannes Sariola, who wins it for the second time this season. Johannes has been ever-present in the midfield this month, along with scoring a fantastic goal against Liverpool to seal a trip to Wembley.
Pretty good month there mate, unfortunate that things fell apart against Everton. Tough to lose in the Europa League to Dortmund but perhaps now you can focus more on the EPL! :)

Good win in the derby and good month :)

A meeting with the Board

Today was a day I'll never forget. It was a day of not one, but two losses. The first came earlier on, It was the last game of the season, against Nottingham Forest, and we lost 3-1. Emmanuel Fernandez, who ended off the season with 15 goals, was the only one who scored for us, and I was fuming. It turns out I wasn't the only one frustrated, as shortly after the game ended, I got a text from Peter Buckley, the chairman of the club. He wanted me to meet me in his office. I wasnt worried at this point, Buckley often invited me to his office. However, things changed when I walked in and the whole Board of Directors at Newcastle was there. My heart lurched, and I started to sweat. I thought I knew what this was about. THe board started lecturing me on how dissapointing of a season it was, and how with the talent we had and the money we spent, we should be doing better. I thought it was all bullshit, even the great Sir Alex Ferguson needed a year or two at the club before he could settle in and the players could settle in. And that's exactly what I told to the board, that I needed more time, and so did the players. I told the board that the performance of the club would improved the next year, and I believed it when I said it. The board however, were skeptical, and asked me why they should keep me as a manager. Once again, I pleaded for time, and the board granted my request, telling me that I needed 10 points in the first 5 games of next season. It seemed like an achievable goal, and I left, feeling nervous but confident at the same time. I was confident in my tactics and the way the team worked. Yes, eventually, I knew that Newcastle could be a fantastic team, one of the all time greats in the future. So, I went to my computer and started to research some youth prospects, just see If I could find some gems. It was mostly in vain of course, but the wifi cut out on me while I was looking at some of the Newcastle Trialists. I was about to go to the board and complain when my faithful Coach, Steve Stone, walked into the room. He told me, with a twinge of regret, that I needed to go pack my bags and that my adventure here at Newcastle was over. And that was the second loss we had, me. I left, with tears in my eyes, the first managerial role I've ever had, but that won't be the last, not even close. A new adventure is soon to come.

Aww. You got sacked :( I felt you could of helped them so much.
Unlucky mate, slightly harsh, but hopefully you will get a better job.
Ouch, getting sacked is tough, but I just know you'll bounce back and become a managerial legend at a new club! :)
