International report

San Marino vs Poland

to San Marino needing to win and we did that with the help of Damien Perquis, Krychowiak and many more.

Krychowiak, scored the first goal of the game from the spot in the 11th minute, a badly timed challenge on Lewandowski led to the penalty and a yellow card, Krychowiak executed it perfectly slotting it in to the bottom right corner.

Next, our stand in centre back Perquis would be the next to score, a cross from Wszolek our backup for Blaszczykowski sent the ball to the back post only to find the head of Perquis who would connect with the cross sweetly and direct the ball into the far top corner.

The last goal, came from a corner ball from Matuszcyk that would meet the head of Perquis again who would once again head the ball into the far post, much like the first goal he scored!

Poland vs Ukraine

This was a game I fully expected to lose, especially without the likes of Blaszczykowski and Piszcek. However, this was not the case as my Poland team were determined to go against the odds and come out with the three points, giving us a slim chance of qualifying!

We had to wait until the 46th minute for the breakthrough, Wasilewski our experienced centre back provided the goal, a cross from Polanski would see the ball roll to the front post only for Wasilewski to simply tap the ball past the keeper.

Grechyshkin, A Ukraininan centre midfielder would then break our hearts 27 minutes later in the 71st minute, picking up the ball on the edge of the box and smashing it right into the top right corner...a great goal.

BUT, Poland were not finished, in the 78th minute, Wasilewski managed to head the ball out to wolski on the half way line after a Ukraine freekick, Wolski picked up the ball and ran 5-10 yards before playing a wonderful ball through to Lewandowski who beat 2 players before sliding the ball past the keeper and into the bottom right corner to give us the three points...an unbelievable win!

Across the globe

Definitly one shock from the next three games you will see...

Austria 2-2 Sweden
Alaba 9', Lidiz 76' / Toivonen 16', Farnerud 90+5

Montenegro 2-3 Moldova
Delibasic 31', Bakic 72 / Romanenco 32', Cabac 47', 60'

Romania 0-1 Netherlands
N/A / Heitinga 58'

Montenegro the main shock out of them all, Moldova doing us a favour and keeping them behind us while Romania lose yet again to Holland, someone won't be happy, isn't that right AAN :P
1 shot from San Marino in the whole game and it wasn't even on target hilarious and not to mention dat epic win against ukraine great update :D

Hardy:"Reus & Lewa can be the best"

Today, Hardy watched Dortmunds 3-0 defeat over Bayer Leverkusen from the stands, where he saw both Lewandowski and Reus score, Lewandowski however bagging a brace. Hardy heaped praise on the deadly duo and here is what he had to say...

They are both fantastic players. Today was a prime example of the partnership between the two, they linked up so well! Im sure Reus is a wonder to manage and I only hope I can do that some day but atleast I can say I work with Lewa! Infact, the entire dortmund team are just sublime, they are a wonder to watch, and it was lovely watching them beat Bayern Munich in the first game of the season, as it was watching them beat Bayer, Lewa has shown his class with 7 goals in 5 apps for his team and he deserves all the praise he can get, I cant wait to meet up with him again, when we play Montenegro in a few weeks! They can be the best partnership out there...forget Sturridge & Suarez and forget Giroud & Ozil, they are the best.
Amazing story, and nice results. Keep it up!
cheers mate:)

International report

Poland vs Montenegro

So the Poland team met back up after a great win against Ukraine, ready to face Montenegro.
by this time we were already out of contention for even a play off spot, so we knew the result didnt matter, but I didn't care about this, I wanted third spot and I wanted to win!

The only goal of the game came from Wolski who got his first goal for Poland in his 5th appearence for the national team. It was a well timed finish, Lewandowski had the ball at his feet before sliding it through to Wolski who only had the keeper to beat, and he took it brillantly firing into the top corner.

Moldova vs Poland

So a game I fully expected to win and one that I wanted to win, I felt we could achieve maximum points from the remaining games but it wasn't to be.

We had to wait until the 56th for the breakthrough, Krychowiak nodding in the ball from a wolski corner.

But, Moldova would be the first team to gain points against us by scoring a controversial penalty in the 70th minute, Grosu was the scorer. Moldova ended my 100% record.

So we failed to qualify, but that was probably the most likely thing throughout my tenure as the previous manager failed to live up to the task. I was never thinking about qualification as i didn't think it was possible and it wasn't, so I have been looking to the future ready to make my mark in the European cup qualifiers, and hopefully the European cup finals.

Who Qualified?

So, this update I won't be doing 'Across the globe' I will show you who qualified for the tournament and the play offs...

Group 1:
1st. Belgium Q
2nd. Croatia PL

Group 2:
1st. Italy Q
2nd. Denmark PL

Group 3:
1st. Germany Q
2nd. Sweden PL

Group 4:
1st. Holland Q

Group 5:
1st. Switzerland Q
2nd. Cyprus??? PL

Group 6:
1st. Russia Q
2nd. Northern Ireland (above portugal) PL

Group 7:
1st. Greece Q
2nd. Bosnia & Herzagovina PL

Group 8:
1st. England Q
2nd. Ukraine PL

Group 9:
1st. France Q
2nd. Spain PL

So those are the teams that qualified and earnt a play off spot (PL) there is only one qualification spot in Hollands group meaning there will be no one from their group in the play offs. We will prevail in European cup, we will show them up!
Great updates! It's a sad day when Northern Ireland get into the playoffs and Ireland dont!

yeah, i too prefer ireland! but you have to hand it to N.Ireland, to come above portugal is amazing, ireland came 4th in group 3 under germany, sweden and austria:(
Sad to see that you didn't qualify to the World Cup. Good luck in the Euro's!
2013-11-15 16:22#143882 Pauker : Sad to see that you didn't qualify to the World Cup. Good luck in the Euro's!

cheers Pauker, if the euro's fail, i may look for a polish club aswell:)

The post-match press conferance

Journalist: Afternoon Aaron, how are you?

Hardy: Very well, thank you!

Journalist: So, Aaron, we will start by reviewing Poland's qualifying campaign...how dissapointing is it you weren't able to qualify?

Hardy: well, obviously it's dissapointing but ever since I joined we all knew our chances of qualifying were very slim, but we gave it our best shot and we will try even harder in the euro's!

Journalist: Do you think you could have qualified had you joined at the start of the qualifiers?

Hardy: Definitley! You can see that from how well we did since I joined. As i said before, the Romania game was huge and winning it was the perfect start, because had we not won the game, I dont think we would have found the determination to beat Ukraine.

Journalist: Ok, well, you very nearly managed to keep a 100% record in all games, but sadly missing out on that against Moldova, just how annoying was that, given the circumstances of the goal?

Hardy: Very annoying, yes...it was! They should never have been given the penalty, we weren't exactly at our best but i felt we should have won that game!

Journalist: You have Ecuador in your match, which looks like it will be a thrilling game, do you think you can remain unbeaten?

Hardy: Of course I do, we've done very well winning against the likes of Ukraine and Montenegro, why should this match be any different? Ecuador are a great team and have some great talent but I believe we can win!

Journalist: Last question, or infact it's 2 questions... One, when are you planning on leaving the Poland national team? and two, will you be looking for a managerial job at a club, if so who?

Hardy: I plan to stay at Poland until the FA feel I have outstayed my welcome. If i can provide results...that won't happen, and to answer your second question, I do want a job at a club, hopefully in Poland so I can rely on myself to bring in talent for the national side instead of relying on others!

Journalist: So you won't be leaving Poland if you get a club job?

Hardy: You said, that was your last question! So goodbye...

Journalist: Goodbye, thanks for answering most of our questions

Hardy: *mutters under breath* 'Fuck off'
