Poland squad announced

Poland, have today revealed the team they will take to face Ecuador this sunday, Hardy seems to have sided with the a youthful team aswell as adding some experience in the defence, the main surprise inclusions are Cionek, Kandziora and Angelo Langer, Cionek is believed to be in the squad on merit due to fairly solid performances against Moldova and Ukraine, while Kanziora seems to have established himself at national level for Poland putting in some great performances, especially against Romania, Ukraine and San Marino. Langer seems to have made his way into the squad as a backup. Here is the team:

Goalkeepers
Wojciech Szczesny
Artur Boruc
Defenders
Thiago Cionek
Marcin Wasilewski
Sebastien Boenisch
Lukas Klemenz
Igor Lasiki
Damien Perquis
Angelo Langer
Marcel kandziora
Midfielders
Eugen Polanski
Adam Matuszczyk
Grzegorz Krychowiak
Jakub Blaszczykowski
Piotr Zielinski
Ludovic Obraniak
Jaroslaw Lidner
Thomasz Kopisz
Forwards
Robert Lewandowski
Artur Sobiech
Kandziora did well in the San Marino match? Of course he's going to do well in the San Marino match, even if I haven't heard of him before! Stop stating the obvious ;)

haha;) when I typed that, I thought someone might say something! Lol:P
Good to see Artur Boruc on the squad still, he has been a favorite keeper of mine for a while.
Yes, he is still a great keeper! Szczeseny (just spelt that without checking so proud) he plays my competitive games and unlike England I play my backups in friendlies!:)
Check the coding in that last update btw, apart from that I'm looking forward to this!
Aha! Just noticed! Cheers seni, I have a good competitive game in roughly 146 days so should be good!

International report

Poland vs Ecuador

We came into this friendly, ready to prove ourselves as the strong and mighty team we are! That we shouldn't be pushed around by anyone! We got the result we were looking for however the performance wasn't what I expected.

The first goal of the game came from a brilliant corner taken by Ecuador's Antonio Valencia, it sailed over the heads of every player Polish and Ecuadorian before taking a sudden dip that put the ball in a direct course for Christhian Mina's head, all he had to do was get in the way to make it 1-0 in the 11th minute, and he did so...perfectly.

However 4 minutes went by and we watched our Poland side go level. Striker, Artur Sobiech, picked up the ball on the half way line and passed the ball down to Blaszczykowski who would make a darting run down the left flank crossing the ball in, which met the feet of Ecaudor defender Alex Guagua, who tried to clear it...however he managed to knock it into his own net, the score was made 1-1!

after another 9 minutes we would see another corner from Valencia, however this time, solid defender Wasilewski headed the ball out of the box to the feet of Wolski, we were the ones attacking now, as Wolski found Obraniak on the left side with a wonderful lobbed pass! Obraniak took the ball, running down the line passing 2 defenders, before cutting in and smashing the ball right into the bottom left corner.

Ecuador, scored next to level the score for the second time in the match. In the 45th minute Felipe Caicedo touched down a cross from Mina on the edge of the box, he then made his way into the box, passing Perquis and then placing the ball into the bottom right corner. It was a great individual goal.

Ecuador had most of the possession for the rest of the game, having shot 7 times since the last goal. However, they didn't make them count, we did. Blaszczykowski took the ball down the right flank waiting until he got to the byline to cross the ball in, where it met the head of centre back Wasilewski who headed the ball right into the top corner...God knows what he was doing up there, but who cares? we won, we stayed unbeaten, and we are learning how to win ugly! Now all we need to do, is learn how to put the game to bed early!

Across the globe

The following results are the results from the European world cup playoffs (second leg)

Bosnia & Herzegovina 5-1 (Agg) Cyprus

Denmark 1-5 (Agg) Spain

Sweden 5-1 (Agg) Northern Ireland

Ukraine 2-1 (Agg) Croatia

Mother of 5-1:O I dont have the scorers for you this time round because I advanced to far through the game and ended up losing all of the highlight information:(
Gooood result and gooood update :P
