Arg, sooo close, oh well, well done Neal, it is fully deserved! Your stories are amazing

August, the month of the return of European club football. It's been a brilliant few weeks for each and every one of us, finally able to watch our favorite teams fight each and every week against their rivals as each big nation's leagues kick off. And, while the teams we love began their journey abroad, the stories we love continued to thrive and excel. Today, we recognize the best stories of the last month and decide which was deserving to be named the best.


Neal for Francesco Totti - Il Gladiatore di Roma AND Feliks for Pogon: Polska Power!! Though Feliks had jumped out to an early 21-7 lead, the two incredible writers finished level on 22 votes each out of the total 50 votes cast, 44% each. This is Neal's third victory, having won twice with his Inter story, while Feliks celebrates his first ever nomination with a first ever Story of the Month victory!

Both stories are fully deserving of this great honor. Can they defend their title next month, or will a usurper rise from the ranks and stake a claim to be the best story on the site? Who knows, that usurper might just be you...

tbendis for [FM13]The Adriatic Adventure [Hajduk Split]!! Timmy collected a vast plurality of the public support, garnering 10 out of 25 of the votes, a total of 40%. This is Timmy's third Story of the Month win, yet again with his ageless classic of a tale, FM13's Adriatic Adventure with Hajduk Split.
