January 2016

Osasuna 4 - 0 Numancia

Copa del Rey 5th Round Leg 1
Almeria 2 - 1 Numancia

Numancia 4 - 1 Granada

Copa del Rey 5th Round Leg 2
Numancia 1 (2) - 2 (4) Almeria

- The board have agreed to upgrade the youth facilities and increase the number of coaches.

Numancia 2 - 3 Real Sociedad

Numancia 1 - 3 Getafe

Valladolid 0 - 3 Numancia
- Valldolid were already well on their way to being beaten, but Aldo Jaime still had a great moment as he came off the bench to fill Yohan Croizet's spot on the right wing, he scored his first La Liga goal, and hopefully he will continue to knock them in and make his case to be called up to the US National Team.

Transfers

In

We've signed Joni Makela, who was a free agent, most recently of Finnish team FC Inter Turku. He is listed as a left winger but we will put him on the right since he's left footed.

Tomas Caamano will be joining us from Deportivo on a free transfer. He looks like he could be a fixture at goalkeeper in the future.

Alexandre will be coming to us from Lucena at the end of the season, he seems okay as a striker, if he doesn't pan out like I'd like I can still sell him for a profit, though.

We've signed Tommi Johansson from TPS. He has arrived immediately after the sale, and we paid TPS 475 pounds in compensation. He's raw but he looks like he'll be a good advanced playmaker.

Defender Benito Jabbro will be joining us at the end of the season, when his contract with Club Brugge expires. He looks like he'll be a good one for the future!

Another defender, Jesus Manuel Maestro, will also join us for free at the end of the season when his Cordoba contract expires.

Mantas Kazlauskas from Ekrasas for 350K. He will help with the depth at center back. I'm signing a lot of center backs, but I plan on selling Bernardo at the end of the season, and if someone makes a big offer for Velazquez this summer, I need to be prepared.

Out
- Lars Gulpen is surplus to requirements and we've sold him to Roda JC for 240,000.
- Dimitar Evtivmov on loan to Lokomotiv (Plovdiv), he will be glad to return to his home country for a season and get some first team action.
- Senah Mango to Almeria for 500K, because he asked for a new contract after an earlier rejected bid, and homie don't play that!
- Midfielder Landry Diabate on a season-long loan to Xerez in Liga Adelante to get first team action.

Manager's Comments

It was an up and down month, with us getting a win thankfully to end the month. We just have to hold on for 4 more months to see if we can get at least Europa League qualification. I also got some reinforcements, although I didn't get as much help on the wings as I had wanted.
Have a good ranking for a newly promoted.
Good luck .

February 2016

Transfer Deadline Day

I actually completed a deal on deadline day! It's just a free transfer of a future prospect, though. Since the team is short on left backs, Abraham could be a very good signing.

Top Deals

Once again, it's a list we didn't make, because the Ministry of Finance doesn't approve of such wasteful shenanigans. Numancia is a team that builds within its means.

Espanyol 0 - 3 Numancia

Numancia 0 - 2 Valencia

Riku Verronen Joins Numancia

It's always nice to see a good young player available for the taking, and so we've signed Riku Verronen, a free agent right winger who we will retrain onto the left.

Torben Poggenberg Tears Calf
Our AML prospect, Torben Poggenberg, tore his calf muscle and will be out 3-4 months. It will hurt his development, but it could also hurt his speed, which is one of his main assets. Still, he is very young, so he could make a full recovery still.

Real Madrid 2 - 0 Numancia

Atletico Madrid 3 - 3 Numancia

Numancia 1 - 1 Athletic Bilbao

The Table

Manager's Comments

Only one win, but two draws, including one at Atletico Madrid. We're still on that verge of Europa League qualification, let's keep pushing!
Very good young prospects the signings! Not a bad month..you are doing good! Keep it up!
Quality signings there mate! :)

March 2016

Numancia 2 - 0 Deportivo

Real Betis 4 - 3 Numancia

- An interesting bit of trivia, preseason odds for Elche and Numancia to win the title were both 2000:1. Technically both bets are still alive at this point in the season, but either winning would be an incredible long shot.

Malaga 3 - 0 Numancia

Numancia 0 - 1 Almeria

Numancia 0 - 1 Levante

Manager's Comments

Having the US strike duo miss the last 3 games due to Olympic Qualifiers really hurt us. There's 6 matches left and 1 of them against Barcelona, so continental football is a longshot, but there's no reason not to try our best.
If you're lucky you can get a Europa League place.
Almeria had luck in the game with you.

Good luck !
Unlucky about some of the past results, hopefully you can have a final push for European football!
You can do it mate! If you had bad luck this season, the next season I am sure you will qualify for a European competition

That was a brutal month but I guess that you will still consider a mid-table finish a success. You got a lot of new young players so your team will only get better.

April-May 2016

Barcelona 6 - 1 Numancia

Sevilla 1 - 3 Numancia

Numancia 1 - 1 Sporting

Rybaczuk Rejects Loan Renewal
Despite Manchester City agreeing to a loan renewal for Adrian Rybaczuk, he has refused to stay at Numancia for another season and our match against Osasuna will likely be his last match as a Numantine.

Emiliano Velazquez Sold to Internacional
Our stalwart center back Emiliano Velazquez will also play his last game as a Numancia player against Osasuna, as he has been sold to Brazilian club Internacional for 2.5 million and an arranged friendly.

Numancia 3 - 1 Osasuna

Stadium Expansion Announced
The board have announced a ground expansion that will add 5,219 seats to Nuevo Los Parajitos.

Manager's Comments

I was named third place for manager of the year and Numancia were named most improved club. We fell out of the European qualification places, but we have a very good platform to work on for next season.
A decent month, some highs and some lows. Good story so far mate, will try to comment more often.
Overall a very productive season, something which you can continue to build on
A very good season!
