The Matches

Senah Mango Joins Numancia

In an effort to bolster the back line, we've signed Senah Mango on a free transfer. He was most recently of Luzenac.

Gimnastic 2 - 2 Numancia
- Two Numancia goals were disallowed.
- Jack Baldwin named to TotW substitutes.

Numancia 2 - 3 Villarreal

Numancia 3 - 0 Alcorcon
- Yannick gets credit for the clean sheet but it was a team effort with only 1 shot on goal conceded

Guadalajara 1 - 4 Numancia

Numancia 1 - 2 Elche

The Table

Manager's Comments

The loss to Elche puts us a game behind for the championship, but we're still in the second automatic promotion slot. Hopefully we can keep it up through December, and then I have some changes I plan to implement during winter break.
Keep it up Eb! If you get to the BBVA, you'll get more cash hopefully, and clear a bit of the debt you currently have!

I don't have any debt NOW, thanks to the board clearing it all, but normal operating costs will put me back in the red sooner rather than later, so yeah, it is important. Plus, if I get to the BBVA and stay there, my rep will increase, making my players worth more, making my players sellable.
Looks pretty good Senah Mango
Since you're up! There has to stay, you have to get in Liga BBVA!
Promote ! I wish you good luck.

December 2014

The Matches

Numancia 1 - 0 Cordoba

Copa del Rey 4th Round First Leg
Numancia 4 - 2 Sporting
- There was some controversy over a penalty call that gave Numancia the lead late in the match, Sporting's manager, Jose Ramon Sandoval, despite what his true feelings may be, decided not to test the FA by criticizing the decision in the post-match press conference.

Las Palmas 2 - 1 Numancia

Copa del Rey 4th Round Second Leg
Sporting 1 - 1 Numancia
(Numancia wins 5-3 on aggregate.)

Copa del Rey Round of 16 Draw

Lugo 3 - 5 Numancia
- Jack Baldwin has a gashed leg and will miss 3-4 weeks.

Youth Facilities Upgrade
The board have agreed to my request and will spend 400K to upgrade the youth facilities.

Transfers

In
- Abdulai Bell-Baggie from Tranmere Rovers for 85K. He's a pacey winger with good technical attributes who will be good coming off the bench as a substitute, and playing as a starter in some instances.
- Ekhi from Osasuna for 21K. He will be in the center back rotation and be the backup right fullback. For some reason this move isn't going to go through until the summer, though. -_-
- Jesper Drost from Zwolle for 15.5K, he will add winger depth.

Out
- Adrian Ripa to Ponferradina for 35.5K.
- Vicente Perez to Recreativo on a free transfer.
- Zakarie Labidi and Nabil Fekir's loan contracts have been terminated

Manager's Comments

We're in the middle of the winter break and holding the second autopromotion slot by 3 points. We need to keep winning, stretch that lead, and challenge for the championship. My team needs to find consistency, and struggles at times, but when they're on, they're on.
Just cut out the losses and you will be the frontrunners in no time. A very productive month!

January 2015

The Matches

Numancia 4 - 0 Girona

Copa del Rey Round of 16 First Leg
Numancia 1 - 1 Granada

Mirandes 5 - 2 Numancia

Copa del Rey Round of 16 Second Leg
Granada 1 - 2 Numancia
(Numancia wins 3-2 on aggregate.)

Copa del Rey Quarterfinal Draw

Murcia 0 - 3 Numancia

Copa del Rey Quarterfinal First Leg
Numancia 1 - 4 Barcelona
We only have to score 4 at Camp Nou without conceding any. Easy task, amirite?

Numancia 2 - 1 San Fernando

Copa del Rey Quarterfinal Second Leg
Barcelona 3 - 2 Numancia
(Barcelona wins 7-3 on aggregate.)
- After losing, I was asked about my experience in the tournament. "I'm just glad it's over and I can focus on the league. We'd have to beat Barcelona then Real Madrid to win the tournament. At least this way we won't be so jaded in the future."

Transfers

In
- Wilfried Kanon from ADO Den Haag (pre-contract, will join in the summer)
- Jordy Kimuwidi Diakubama from Willem II (same), while Kanon is projected to be a starter, Diakubama will be a backup option to Akapo, and hopefully a future starter upon sale.
- Yovany van der Stelt from AZ (same), who will be the second choice striker behind Enrich, and a future starter upon sale.
- Victor Camarasa from Levante (same), who will project as a rotation option at ball winning midfielder
- Fegor Ogude on a free transfer, I don't like signing older players but he's necessary as a stopgap rotational option at ball winning midfielder
- Dimitar Evtimov on a free transfer, most recently of Nottingham Forest. He will provide goalkeeper cover when both of the top two goalkeepers are away on international duty (I don't like setting international instructions.)
- Oriol Rosell on a free transfer, who had just come off a contract with Sporting Kansas City. He will be thrown into the midfielder rotation and provide a more long-term answer than Ogude.

Out
- Deniz Poro's loan deal has been terminated at his request and he will return to Blackburn

The Table

Manager's Comments

Now that our tournament run is over, we can focus on the league, and hopefully convert our game in hand into a win so we can tie for 1st. The important thing is winning an automatic promotion place.
Good to get some tickets sold for the Barça game, and still competing at the top of the leagu! :D

February 2015

The Matches

Numancia 3 - 0 Eibar

Celta 1 - 2 Numancia

Hercules 2 - 1 Numancia

- The next match would be on my 27th birthday, and I hoped it would be a special game for me, but managing a team itself was a wonderful birthday present, and one that was doing very well for itself, to boot.

Numancia 1 - 0 Tenerife

Sabadell 1 - 3 Numancia

Transfers

All the money I didn't spend, and all the players I didn't sign, or what the rest of the world calls Transfer Deadline Day

- Jerome Idir loaned out to Fluminense for a season-long loan, since they're the only team that promised he'd be a valuable first-team player.

Manager's Comments

It's a two horse race between ourselves and Elche for the title, but there's still 3 months left, and a lot can change. It's clear that we have one of the best teams in Liga Adelante, if not the best, it's up to me to nurture and convert it into a league title or promotion.
A very solid month, that win against Celta an important one. Now that you're in first place you have to cement it and make sure you have time to plan for the season ahead in LigaBBVA.
Keep up the good work. Hopefully you can beat the big boys in the next few years.
Great work mate! The Barca match in the CdR must've filled some serious seats!
Great work and good results Eb, hopefully you can keep it and get promoted to the BBVA

A very good month ! Good luck !
Some very strong results there and you are flying at the top! Good work and unlucky against Barca although I dont think it will take you very long to put together a team that will beat them!
