Keegan's Notes

I made my way over to Switzerland, I really aint sure where abouts I went by EasyJet again, why The F.A have done that I have no idea anymore. We touched down and I was taken by taxi straight to the place where the World Cup Qualifying Draw was taking place.

I was welcomed by the guy who was in charge of FIFA and UEFA, don't ask me there names because I have not got a bloody clue. I am here to just make sure we get a Easy Draw. We are in Pot One anyway so we are on of the top seeds.

The draw starts, I could not give a shit until I hear England. So when I did i saw that it was Group C. Ok cool we are in bisnuess. Right Who is next? Please not Ukraine, Please not Ukraine....................Group C Ukraine.......Oh Fuck Off I said a bit too loudly and I got glared at. Right I thought who is there in Pot 3 to steer clear of? Wales, Scotland and Macedonia. Group C..........Ireland. Oh ok I am happy with that. Pot 4 I thought wouldn't it be funny if I got Northern Ireland too. Group C.....N.Ireland, I laughed and thought I would not want to be a policeman for that game! Pot 5 and 6 i could not care about because there teams we should easily win. Armenia and Andorra, thank you very much a group we should get through.

I immediately call my Captain Will Hughes and he picks up. I tell him the draw for the Qualifying and he says he is chuffed with it but we do need to beat Ireland and Ukraine. It isn't Ireland I am worried about its Northern Ireland I think they can really surprise us.

It is time to make sure I qualify for the European Championships first though then concentrate on the World Cup Qualifying.
Good last update :D England should get through that group with ease :P
Nice group. You will do well.
Ireland will serve your ass to you on a plate! #COYBIG

Who put the ball in the English net? Aldo! Aldo! Who put the ball in the English net? It was John Aldridge!
@ Justice - I hope to thrash them but we know full well that games like that England make a habit of losing

@Radders - Yeah I would like to think we can make it to the World Cup but I need to get them to the Euros first

@Bayern 0 - I hope we do well thanks for the comment.

Keegan's Notes

The time as come again for me to name a squad to play two games at home. The first one is a Friendly against Paraguay and the second game is against Kazakhstan in the European Championship Qualifying. I was already without Lukey Shaw. Then I find out that Nathan Redmond and Steven Caulker are also crocked! These three were down as starters for me in these two games, I am so bloody gutted it is ridiculous. So then I thought to myself what other changes do I need to make?

http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/62/rqgh.jpg/
Steven Caulker is out due to injury

Well I dropped Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain for his pig ignorance and stroppiness, yes I will probably call him up for the next two but I need to show these people that this can not go on. Simon Moore and Harry Kane also got dropped, as I also only named 22 players last time I had 7 spots to be taken.

http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/826/6w54.jpg/
Kane thinks he is very unlucky to be dropped

Jason Steele gets the call for the third goalkeeper and actually has a chance of starting the Friendly as Joe has a slight niggle so I will NOT be starting him against Paraguay. Danny Sturridge is back too, he has just resigned for Liverpool after his stint at PSG did not go to plan. He did have a awesome end to the season last season though and deserves his chance.

http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/542/m53b.jpg/

Thomas Carroll from Southampton and Jack Hunt from Swansea will also get a chance in the friendly. Carroll has 5 caps to his name but this is his first call up since playing in March, hes been in good form in Pre-Season and I think he will do us proud. Hunt is a right back who plays for Swansea. Since he moved there from Newcastle I have been very impressed and he has a genuine chance of starting both games!

http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/822/v3ip.jpg/
Jack Hunt is rumoured to be winning his first cap against Paraguay

Finally I have included Charlie Austin from Fulham, the 30 year old who has no caps to his name scored 18 goals last season and I have given in to the media saying to give him a chance. I was a bit worried about his age but I am wrong not to pick him because of his age.

http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/20/7f6n.jpg/

As Will and James came out of the press conference, I asked them how do you think it went and they responded it was bad boss. The Media are after us we must win both these games and win them really bloody well. Hmmm......... yeah maybe we will name a near full strength squad for the Paraguay match. Will and James then said we must start Andre Wisdom and Charlie Austin because I think they could be big players.

http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/24/beoh.jpg/
Wisdom starts against Paraguay

It gave me food for thought a day away from the match, shall I trust my instincts and listen to the captain. So I did I decided to start Andre and Charlie but I also decided to go for a 4-1-2-1-2 formation. Andre would start at Centre Back and Welbeck will start with Austin.

The team coach arrived at Wembley and I ushered the team inside as we were 45 minutes late. The M25 was a fucking nightmare. I told the lads the starting 11 on the coach. Wisdom was told he had made it along with Austin. I told Charlie to not worry if the media did not think he deserved a chance and told him to take the chance! Jason Steele was told he will play 90 minutes in goal too. The smile across his face at the prospect of becoming a debutant was worth seeing.

http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/856/z8st.png/
Team to start against Paraguay

Knowing that we didn't start until later I thought it would be a good idea to listen on BBC Radio 5 Live to the Wales vs Serbia match. I was hoping the Welshmen would do me a favour and defeat the Serbians but it didn't happen and they ran out 3-1 winners but I new a win against Kazakhstan and England would also Qualify for the European Championships. Serbia HAD now qualifies but we had Paraguay to play first.

http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/819/9ml9.jpg/

The teams walked out it is a special day for people who are having there debuts, Charlie Austin and Andre Wisdom I was just hoping that they would give it there best and enjoy the expeciance. Yet again we had a slow start and I was cursing the team on the sidelines when shabby play gave the ball away to Luis Caceras who played a simple pass to Sanabrie and Steele was beaten in 2 minutes of his Debut.

But what I was about to witness was a dream. Two minutes later and we were level. Sterling ran down the left wing and floated in an amazing cross for Austin, playing his first England game to score a header and I had never seen a celebration like that. Newspaper's like The Sun and the Star could go and screw themselves as I was now vindicated in selecting the striker. Then it got even better for the Fulham striker as on the 18th minute we were in the lead and this was all Charlie. He held the ball up wonderfully well and fed it to Welbeck who then repaid the favour and Austin 1 on 1 then thrashed it home into the roof of the net. we lead 2-1 at half time and I liked what I saw but still made a few changes. Hunt, Barkley and Wilshere came on along with Sturridge.

After nothing had happened in the second half I threw on Ince and Barkley, to immediate results as Austin turned provider and whipped a ball in for Barkley to volley home from about 14 yards out. 3-1 and game over surely, not for Charlie it was as he then headed home a free kick from the impressive Ross Barkley and was 4-1. Austin with a hat-trick on his debut but did anyone expect a 5-1 scoreline, not me but Charlie netted his forth goal to become the first England player to score a Hat-trick on his debut.

http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/196/g61d.png/

So buoyed by that I decided to make two changes and that was to drop Ward-Prowse and put Barkley in the team along with Joe Hart will come in for Jason Steele.

Why is it we have to conceed early in every game. We went into this match conceding first in every match I have managed since coming back to manage these Three Lions. I was absolutely blown away by the start that the Kazakhstani's started. They were rewarded with a goal too by Nuserbaev. It was a piledriver into the top right hand corner and my team were shocked!

However Will got them organized and he set up the equalizer, a wonderful solo run down the right and he whipped in a cross that was headed clear only to find Ross Barkley, who I reinstalled to the team because James just did not look interested against Paraguay and he smashed home a wonderful volley. It got better 10 minutes later when Sterling was bought down. Barkley then took the freekick mishit it and found a way to loop over Tkachuk and give us the lead.

http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/191/iroc.png/

I still was not really happy with our play and we missed chance after chance but we have qualified, but we need a better showing than that in the Euro's but we are there with 2 games to spare so lets see if we can top the group!

Keegan's Notes

So we are already qualified but I am going to make sure that we win the group. Our first match is against the Serbians and a win here would mean we are almost certain to finish in the top spot. So I had to pick my squad well here.

Wlifried Zaha was the first man I decided I did not want in. It is nothing against him as a player but Nathan Redmond is available again and I think he will be better for the Serbian and Welsh double header. Redmond is not necessarily quicker but he is a lot more skillful and the way we are going to play I think he is going to be mega, mega important here.

http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/36/vuz6.jpg/
Zaha has amazingly been dropped by Keegan

I have also dropped Thomas Carroll for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. I feel he has learnt his lesson and he is a very important player for us right now! Alex took the news well when I told him he was going to be back in the squad. Which brings me to Jack Hunt, he again has not really performed very well for Swansea and Luke Shaw is also fit again so he deserves the call up.

http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/707/mg86.jpg/
Oxlade-Chamberlain is back for the Three Lions

The last guy dropped is Saido Berahino. This is because I don't need 4 strikers so I oted to call Steven Caulker up again. He has been great at the start of the season for Manchester United and fully deserves the call up. I think he will most probably start the two games too.

http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/849/pu9w.png/

I can safely say this is the most happy I have been with any squad since I came back to manage this team. Ross and Will are playing amazingly well for there clubs and they will be keeping Vice Captain James out of the team to play Serbia. I think it will be Welbeck and Austin upfront for us too but we will see closer to kick off.

We took off from Gatwick, Fianlly I got The F.A to change the plane company from EasyJet to Virgin Atlantic.
http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/844/1ljl.jpg/

We landed in Marakana and the squad looked nervous. Not much was said because they know how really important this match is. I told Joe that after much consideration he would start.

http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/706/j7pe.jpg/
Stadium England Will Play At

You really do not understand what this would mean to Joe hart as he would become part of an exclusive club for England.....The 100 club! He would join the likes of Ashley Cole and Wayne Rooney in collecting 100 caps. Rooney now retired is said to have called Joe to congratulate him on what was about to happen. I feel privileged to be the manager giving him his 100th cap.

http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/24/1p46.jpg/
Joe Hart: About to win his 100th cap

Joe will also have the Captain's armband for this match. Will has told him its only right, he is one of the model professionals England have ever had. Will was only named on the bench anyway as I preferred Jack for this match.

As England walked out, Hart was awarded a special gold Cap to celebrate his 100th appearance and he did get a bit emotional. England seem up for this match and I took my seat on the sidelines very confident of a victory.
We started very well and within 4 minutes we had took the Lead! Ross Barkley who had been really impressive for his club over the past month then had a shot which hit the top right hand corner of the net. Barkley ran off in celebration and I jumped up and down on the touchline. then just 10 minutes later it got a lot better for my brave men. Danny Welbeck picked up a awful back pass and rounded Brkic to make it 2-0.

At half time I told the player how proud I am of them and to keep up the same work ethic that they had in that first half. The second half started and Jack was subbed for Will. Serbia got one back as Scepovic scored a free kick in which Steven Caulker gave away.

We wasn't in danger for long as Caulker made up for his mistake by scoring a bullet header to make it 3-1. Steven has had that international goal coming for a while and I could not be more pleased for him. Three minutes later and it was 4-1 when Welbeck, who had been mega impressive today added a forth. Serbia were put to the sword by a vastly improved England side but now could they finish the job off against Wales? They had guaranteed a top spot finish with that win though.

http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/203/it42.png/

We got off the plane at Gatwick and went straight to the hotel. I had promised the squad a day off, and thats what they got. Wales are tough at home, but there away form is shocking and I decided that Wilshere would keep his space and I would name a unchanged team for the visit of Wales.

Will understood this decision and I also told him that he is still my captain but I needed the experiance of Jack for this match.

http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/62/5gft.png/
Keegan names an unchanged first 11

I walked the team out at Wembley in-front of 90,000 fans and I really want us to give them a performance. You know when you sit down and you just think, something good is about to happen....Well I was feeling this!

We started well but Wales also started brightly and they had a penalty appeal. In truth I think if i had been there manager I would have felt aggrieved when Smalling took down Ramsey but it was not given. Half time it was 0-0 and I told my team to go for it. I bought on Captain Will for Jack and it worked as Hughes passed to Andros and the keeper was not expecting a shot to the near post from the corner of the 16 yard box but that's what he got and it beat him.

http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/197/8cb7.jpg/
Andros Townsend Scores his first goal for England

I am overjoyed for Andros to score his first goal. The second goal was just 10 minutes after, I had took Smalling and Barkley off for Ward-Prowse and Phil Jones. Henessey took a goal kick and fluffed it Will just toe poked it and James was first to react, rounded Wayne Henessey and made it 2-0 to England. That is how it stayed.

I have to say we have been really awesome and I can't wait to lead this young and talented team to Turkey in 2020. If we perform like the last two games then we have a shot of the Semi Finals. I can not wait!
Jason Steele ftw. He is a good gk in the game.
