October

FC Twente v Shamroc Rovers

UEFA Europa League Group H
3-1
Not too upset here. Twente was a very good club to face and pending half the match in a 1-1 draw was amazing. Hopefully we can beat them next time.

Ballincollig v Shamrock Rovers

FAI Ford Cup 2nd Round
0-8
This was the debut of Big Jimmy Mulholland. I honestly did not think he would be a impact but damn he was. Five goals as a 16 year old. Damn!!!!! This team was so bad the attendance was 199 people. I guess their families and our fans haha.

Cork City v Shamrock Rovers

0-1
This match was sort of a letdown as we only scored one goal. This one goal was massive as Jimmy scored his first league goal. My god he will be special someday.

Shamrock Rovers v Drogheda United

2-0
Still on fire. This is league match number four without conceding a goal.

AS Roma v Shamrock Rovers

Europa League Group H
1-0
Wow what a match this one was. We played Roma like there was no tomorrow. Everything was perfect except for the score. Well at least we kept them to only one goal.

Dundalk v Shamrock Rovers

EA Sports Cup Quater Final
1-0
We are going to the Semi Final!!!!!!!! Woo this title is ours.

St. Pat's Athletic v Shamrock Rovers

FAI Ford Cup 3rd Round
0-2
Feels good to win against St. Pat's again. Seriously we play them way too damn much. These press conferences asking about the rivalry are getting very tiresome.

My Thoughts

What an interesting month. In Europa League we lost both matches but played really hard. I can't fault them for not trying, especially the Roma match. The league was still the same. Have not lost at all this year. I am very happy. Yet there is one thing we need to talk about. A 16 year old named Jimmy Mulholland. During the summer we purchased him from Cobh for 50k. What a purchase. During his debut against Ballincollig in the FAI Cup, he scored 5 goals. Yes they were a pub team but it was still good to see.

Table

1-0 defeat against Roma almost feels like a great achievement :P
oooo game in hand and u could go top nice defeat to roma and yes it is your team is deffo taking shape

U.C.D. v Shamrock Rovers

0-4

Maritimo v Shamrock Rovers

Shamrock Rovers v Cobh Ramblers

My Thoughts

A pretty exciting month for us. We still have the streak in the league so that is going great. It feels good that we do not have to rely on Ebanks-Blake like we thought went he got hurt. Europe was amazing. In the two Europa matches things were good and bad. That match against Roma was amazing. Might be the biggest win in club history. On top of that it was a shutout!! We play amazing in Ireland. Too bad we can't play all European games there lol.

Table

Absolutely flawless in the league so far :) Keep it up!

December
We here at Shamrockrovers.ie will be presenting each monthly update now in a different format. Starting in 2015 we will be writing about the happenings in each match as well as other random things pertaining to the club. We hope you enjoy this December update. If it is not well received we will go back to the old format or find something else at work.

December was another quality month for the Rovers. During this time we finished our Europa League campaign as well as advanced in the FAI Ford Cup. The league went really well for the club as we are in sole possession of first place with 43 points even though we're one match behind.

On December 11th we faced FC Twente in the final match of Group H. at this point we were in fourth-place even though we had that massive victory over AS Roma a few weeks back. Luckily for us Twente was playing their backups. That gave us a big advantage especially being at home where most of our best games have been played in this competition. Winning 2-1 was massive for both players and the fans. After the victory we would move up to third place and collect a total of seven points. We made some history since the first time we were in the group stage we did not tally up any points.

Five league were played and we won all but one. The match against Sligo resulted in a draw. That ended the eight-game streak of winning. It wasn't such a big deal as manager Michael Korrigan said "at least we got a point." Overall the league was pretty well but that point. Derry City gave the club a scare with so many chances but we were lucky enough to.
As the year winds down awards were handed out and Shamrock Rovers had players and personnel with a few. First off Big Jim Mulholland one a few awards. The 16-year-old has impressed since his debut earlier this year. He would win the Irish Young Player of the Year and the U21 Player of the Year awards. Manager Michael Korrigan would win the Manager of the Month award for December. Congratulations to both and keep up the hard work.

2015 will kickoff with six straight league matches followed by the EA Sports Cup Semi Final against St. Pats. The match on the eighth against U.C.D. will be televised on national TV.

great going and still unbeaten awesome!
Shamrock Rovers beat St. Pat's in thrilling comeback
31/1/14

For Shamrock the EA Sports Cup Semi Final was very special. Sylvan Ebanks-Blake made his anticipated return to the first tea. This was his first match since going down with a calf injury a few months back. Both teams served up a match to remember as Shamrock would come out on top in this 3-3 (won on penalties)goal-fest.

Winger Christian Lobato got Shamrock off to a flyer by scoring a long range effort on four minutes. Later on Killian Brennan then equalized for St. Pat's in the 34th minute with a nice header. Sylvan Ebanks-Blake would make noise in his return match as he would score a penalty. It would go back in forth for the rest of the match as it would have to be played in extra time. After two goals were scored in the extra time we were headed to penalties. Shamrock would win after making every shot. St. Pat's could have kept the shootout alive but a miss in the second round sealed their fate.

Shamrock Rovers will now be facing Bray Wanderers in the final. The match is scheduled for the 15th of March at 3pm.
