En-Masse: 2013/14
I have elected to do a larger update for our progress up until now, and going forward updates will be monthly, with league position updates etc.

A poor performance in our opening game of the season. Our attack had absolutely zero bite, and our defending was shoddy...not much more to say really

Another poor perfomance, in much the same vein as the Norwich game...several commentators stated they felt we were missing Suarez, and i'm inclined to agree with them!

A much better perfomance from the boys, with the youngsters really making an impact, Chirivella and Canos both scoring their first goals for the club, and Skrtel demonstrating just how good we can be from set pieces

Another good performance from the boys, as we notched our first league points to put a smile on the faces of the fans! Chirivella continued his form from the Bournemouth game, scoring his second goal in as many matches, and his overall performance bodes well for his chances this season.

I was gutted not to win this game, but despite the draw, the boys played well; a solid defensive performance at the heart of the match, and some great saves from the Villa 'keeper keeping our attack at bay.

A poor performance; we just couldn't handle Chelsea in this match, and there's really not much else to say

Suarez marked his first-team return in style, bagging three goals to put the match to bed and send us through to the next round. We were simply unstoppable today, and I'm delighted with the boys.

Iago Aspas hassled me to give him a shot in the first team, and he paid me back for my faith in him by netting the winner in this incredibly tight match; our defence were also outstanding, keeping players like Cabaye at bay.

We once again capitalised on our set pieces, Daniel Agger scoring an incredible header from a corner to secure the win here, and delight the Kop. Our defence had an incredible game, young right back John Flanagan keeping Santi Carzola silent for 90 minutes.

Another great performance from the boys, keeping our run going, again, our defence was excellent, keeping Crystal Palace's attack at bay with some great last-minute tackles and great saves from Mingolet.

I was happy to get a draw away to City, and the fans were singing Kompany's praises after his own goal! Overall, we played some great stuff, and only some top drawer saves from Joe Hart stopped us from wining this

This was a heartbreaker; we were heading to the Quarter Finals until the 81st minute, when everything just collapsed and Newcastle scored 2 goals in 3 minutes...Other than that we were solid, and I continue to be impressed by Chirivella, who is currently keeping Gerrard out of the side!

We were deadly in the first half, and we pressed that advantage in the second half, proving that (sometimes) attack is the best form of defence!

Was tough to take not winning this, but West Ham worked hard for the draw, all credit to them. Aspas continued to show why he should be in the first team, although something tells me that Sturridge will be less than impressed with his lack of starts...I sense a rotation system coming on....

Another good win from the boys, taking us to 4 games unbeaten, and putting us on-track for an unbeaten month!

We definitely left it late against Cardiff, two second-half penalties clinching it for us...in truth, Cardiff probably deserved more from this game, but it gave us an unbeaten month, and just now, it looks like we're going well in the league, given our start.
Overall, our first 4 months were a mixed bag, but we seem to be regaining some form, which is certainly encouraging!
Top Scorer (so far): Iago Aspas (6)
Most Assists (so far): Coutinho (4)
Currently, we're sitting 7th in the league, 8 points off of league leaders Norwich (yeah, you read that right!)
*monthly updates from now on; that was a lot of writing!*
