Luke Shaw makes his deserved move to Old Trafford.

Manchester United have confirmed that a deal for star Luke Shaw has been agreed between them and Southampton. The deal will see Ashley Young and £18,000,000 going the other way. The Saints have also agreed a deal for United central midfielder Tom Cleverley for £6,500,000 is a separate deal, but it only knocks a minor amount of the other deals price.

The Red Devils have been chasing the left-back since last summer, and have had bids rejected by the Saints. Chelsea were also close to snapping up the 17, soon to be 18 wonderkid, as they look to replace Ashley Cole.

Shaw has come into United as Cantona looks to rebuild his United team around younger players, with likes of Jones, Gundogan and Januzaj set to be in the starting eleven.

This piece of transfer business looks to wrap up Manchester United's business this summer, already spending just over £40,000,000 and will not want to bring in any more new faces without testing out the two new players they have brought in. United's first friendly fixture lurks around the corner, and they now look set for what will be a tough campaign.
Great piece of business mate!
TodayAtTomorrow: Cheers man, yeah I hope he does have some impact.

AAN: Cheers mate :D
Very good signing there, but I must say your best piece of business was getting rid of Young and Clevs, they shall never return :D
Gundogan and Shaw are class signings!

If United can actually get Shaw, that'd be brill!

Player of Pre-Season

Javier Hernandez & David De Gea

"During Pre-Season Chicarito has produced 4 goals in the 3 games he has appeared in, as well as contributing to other goals too. Despite being further down the pecking order that van Persie, he has done a hell of a lot more, and will be taking van Persies starting spot if the Dutchman doesn't bag some goals soon.

Futhermore, Hernandez' great efforts have been equally matched David De Gea. Only appearing in 4 matches during Pre-Season he has still been an outstanding performer, who has been key to most games we have won. If he keeps it like this for the rest of the season, there is no doubt he will be the best goalkeeper in the Premier League."
- Eric Cantona.
Some good results there, unlucky defeats though, especially the Tottenham one!
Josh_MU: Cheers mate, yeah it was a tough one to take, and having to deal with De Gea's injury wasn't ideal either.

Update to follow...
uhh...a very hurtfull defeat against Tottenham!

Manchester United announce Balanta deal

Youngster Balanta set for dream move.

A deal for starlet Eder Alvarez Balanta previously from Argentinian side River Plate has been agreed between both clubs. The 20 year old is said to of been lured to Old Trafford by the £15,000 p/w he was offered. River Plate have received a sum believed to be around the £7,000,000 mark for the Colombian.

"I am very excited of the prospect for playing for a team as big as Manchester United, and I hope I can have a very successful career here." Stated Balanta. "It's the place everybody dreams of, turning Old Trafford down would be a foolish move, even to the best players in football." He added.

The 6ft defender is said to be the replacement for Serbian rock Nemanja Vidic when he ends his time at Old Trafford at the end of the season. With the possibility of Ferdinand retiring, and the off-loading of Jonny Evans too, Balanta has a huge amount of pressure on him to start performing immediately to fill in the gaps.

United boss Eric Cantona, talked to us further about his bargain deal. "It's a delight to have him at the club, and even better when in five, six years time he will be worth perhaps triple what we paid for him. He is a determined lad, and will be a star, and that's why we have him."

Balanta has been signed on a deal worth around £200,000 that will last till 2017.
Original ;) Haha, just kidding, he's a really good player.
Bargain! Great young player, let's see how he does :)
Great deal mate! I had Balanta on several careers and in every career he is playing amazing!!
Josh_MU: Yeah I never like going for the players that everyone goes for, or that are class when they get older, but tbh there was nobody else like him :P

Arvind: It certainly is a bargain, extremely cheap for what he'll turn out to be! :D

AAN: Cheers man, yeah I hope he turns out just as good. :)
Balanta will prove to be a bargain at that price! Good signing :D
I dont like buying him anymore though :P
Did you have any alternatives in mind? :)
