England draw easy group

Roy Hodgson travelled to France to see his England team draw an easy group ahead of the Euro 2016 competition.

After England's World Cup triumph, manager Roy Hodgson travelled to France to watch the Euro 2016 Group Stage draw and hope for the best.
England were in the 1st seed, meaning they'd miss out on the 'heavyweights' such as Spain and Germany, and possibly have one tricky team in their group.

After watching a lengthy opening sequence and conversations in French, the draw began and England got the following group:

(BIG thanks to Jonaldinho for the amazing banner!)

England's main danger is Greece. Although they weren't in the first seed, they have a squad full of very good players such as Georgios Samaras and Konstantinos Mitroglou, who are both enjoying their football at Celtic and Fulham.

England will also be facing San Marino, who they thrashed in their World Cup qualifying group 3-0, with Rooney dominating their entire defence, on paper it looks like a guaranteed victory for England in that match.

Fear factor: Wayne Rooney(right) scored one goal against San Marino last time they met England.

It is a very easy group for England on paper but they will need to still work hard to ensure they qualify for the tournament.

(Also BIG thanks to Jonaldinho for the banner!)
Think San Marino will be one of the other contenders tbh... :P
On the face of it, that's an easy group, but I wouldn't be taking Greece and Finland for granted

good luck :)

Haha I'd like to see that happen ;)

Yeah, Greece have a great squad, and Finland won't be pushed over easily. Thanks man.

Wenger: "Walcott must go to the Euro's"

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has spoke out in a recent press conference that star winger Theo Walcott 'must go to the Euro's.

After missing out on Roy Hodgson's World Cup squad, Theo Walcott was determined to impress Roy Hodgson for the next campaign, Euro 2016.
And yesterday he was backed by his manager Arsene Wenger as he told the press that Walcott must go to the Euro's as he is a very talented individual.

Walcott had a decent last season for the Gunners, scoring 5 goals in 20 appearances, and already has a goal to his name at the start of this season, having played 5 times already and wants to do his best to get into Hodgson's qualifying squad when they meet up and face Greece.

Direct: Walcott(above) has covered the most distance on the right than any other player in the Premier League.

Hodgson will have many chances to pick his team for the Euro's if England qualify and if Walcott has some very good performances he could find his way back into Hodgson's squad.
WHAT A GROUP!! Take Walcott aswell
Wenger still at Arsenal in 2016 ??? :) Hope Walcott helps to destroy the greek back line
Walcott's pace will absolutely destroy!
All of that running is impressive, but if it's useless running, who cares? Let's see him score some goals and PROVE to Sir Roy that he deserves to go!
Walcott isn't the best winger available for England in my eyes, but what the hell, you need some fast sheez!
A very easy group mate....Greece could make some problems, but I think you'll be fine! I think that Walcott should be in England's squad, I know he isn't the most tehnique player, but his pace
it's amazing!
Wow, what a group! Take Walcott to the World Cup, you need that pace!
