England arrive safely in Paris for Euro 2016

The England Football Team has arrived in Paris safely ahead of the Euro 2016 tournament which will be held across France.

We've had confirmation from the England camp that the National team has landed safely in France and is en-route to their hotel which they will be staying in over the course of the tournament, which is one of the best hotels in the whole of France, The Grand Hotel du Palais Royal which has been rated 5 stars by many customers.

England are hoping that they can win their first European trophy and after their World Cup success, many players and fans believe that this is going to be their best chance in years to win the competition, and under the guidance of Sir Roy Hodgson, England are one of the favourites to progress far.

England's first game will be against Croatia who are undoubtedly England's biggest threat in Group E, and with the likes of Luka Modric and Mario Mandzukic, England will need to perform to their very best to get anything out of that game which will be held at The Stade Louis Fonteneau.

A sample room in the Grand Hotel du Palais Royal which the England players will be staying in, which costs around £500 for a few nights.

Hodgson has decided to bring Manchester United's shining star Nick Powell to France which will be his first international tournament for the England Senior Squad and the midfielder has spoke to an interviewer at the airport in Paris about being selected for the England squad.

"It's such a big step for me in my career as a footballer, when I got the call I thought I was dreaming, but as it turned out I wasn't and emotions hit me then. It's an achievement for me and I want to thank Sir Roy for selecting me, and I want to show him what I can do at this level."
Good luck in the Euros :)
I've got you down as winners. Sir Roy, could he be THE most successful manager in England history? I bloody well hope so! Good luck mate.

Hodgson: Powell can become an England great.

England manager Roy Hodgson has backed the new England midfielder, Nick Powell, to become one of the England greats in a recent press conference.

Speaking ahead of England's first Euro 2016 group match, Roy Hodgson told the press about his team selection for the tournament, and one of the main questions asked was about calling up Manchester United midfielder Nick Powell to his first ever international tournament but also his first ever England game.

"Powell possesses excellent talent and has bags of potential. He's going to be a vital part in the future England squad and that is why he deserves this opportunity. His form throughout the season has also been very encouraging and I look forward to seeing how he does" said Hodgson.

"Powell can become an England great. At this age he's playing some exquisite football and he's currently a joy to watch. I don't like how you have to question his ability as it's clear to see just how good he is."

Powell has played for the England under 21's but he has never appeared for England at senior level.

Many England fans have backed Powell to be a success but a minority of fans have criticized Hodgson for choosing someone as in-experienced as Powell ahead of established internationals such as James Milner, who has been consistent for both club and country when he has been played.

Powell could feature in England's first game against Croatia however having to compete with players such as Jordan Henderson and Phil Jones but Hodgson is sure that if Powell performs well in training he could get a start.
Oo, interesting call up, sure he'll be great for Ingerland
I reckon he's had enough time to develop tbh; he could do a job for you :)
