@Justice: It's not officially ours yet! Bristol Rovers are still hot on our heels! Thanks for the comment!

@Cfc: Thank you! I hope we win the league, we need to stay focused though.

@Pompey: Thank you very much Pompey, that update took me a very long time, I'm glad you enjoyed reading it! Yep, the month was very good, though next month will be the deciding one. Mingoia is a God, enough said. ;)
Yet another superb update, Josh. Two wins and the league is yours in my view. Good luck :)

Thanks Jack! Hopefully we can win our next games :)

April Report - The Ultimatum.

Here we go, the final month, our biggest month. We have 5 huge league games this month and ideally we need to win all of them to make sure we secure the league title. Bristol Rovers are right behind us so we cannot afford any slip up at all, because one slip up could cost us a league title.

Our first game was against a team we've struggled to beat this season, Grimsby Town. And boy, what a win this was! Danny Pilkington got us the lead with a very nice header from a corner, at this point we were a step closer to securing the league title! Then our left back Danny Andrew got the second and final goal to secure a huge win for us.

Next was Chester, which was our second home game this month. We needed to win this to be within 3 points of winning the league and that we did in emphatic style. They actually took the lead through some bad defending but we made up for it as Danny Gardner won and took a penalty to make it 1-0. Danny Gardner got a second through a perfectly timed volley and James Marwood got the third and final goal to make for another great win but more importantly another 3 points.

We faced Dartford away next, and we completely fucked up. Excuse my language there but we really did. However all of our centre halves were out injured so I had to resort to full-backs filling in for them, overall a really bad performance and with Rovers winning, we'd need to win our next game to win the league.

Here we go, winning this game at Edgeley park would win us the league! Let's get to it! They took the lead, and the crowd fell silent, I couldn't believe it... However, James Marwood got us back on level terms with a spectacular volley, the crowd were going riot, could we actually do this? We kept pushing and pushing but it went to half-time at 1-1. We came out for the second half and Nat Jarvis got us in the lead! We could do this! We kept holding on for dear life and then the referee blew for full time! WE HAVE WON THE LEAGUE!

And we faced Lincoln away for our last game of the season and beat them 2-1 with Danny Pilkington getting both goals to round off a truly amazing season for us!

We've done it, The league is ours! What a season! We are going back to the Football League were we should be! The old County is back!

Top Goalscorer of the Season

Our first award is for the top goalscorer of the season, here are the following FIVE nominees for this award;

Nat Jarvis

The young forward joined us from FC Halifax at the start of the season and hit a very good spell throughout the first half the season scoring goals left right and centre, but the question is, has he scored enough to win this award?

Piero Mingoia

Piero, like Nat, joined us in the summer after being released from Accrington Stanley, and the winger hit amazing form in the second half the season, averaging around 1 goal per game, but will it be enough to edge the others out of the reckoning?

James Marwood

Another winger who joined us in the summer, James has been very consistent throughout the season and popped up scoring some amazing and important goals. Will he be the one to take home this award? Who knows?

Danny Pilkington

And finally Danny Pilkington, who joined Stockport when Lord was in charge and the winger has really impressed this season, hitting great form like Piero in the second half of the season, has he won? It's time to find out.

And the winner is...

NAT JARVIS!

Nat got an impressive 18 goals this season, edging Piero Mingoia with 13 goals to this award! Congratulations Nat on an amazing goal scoring season! You receive this golden plated trophy with a golden football on the top! Enjoy!

Nat Jarvis

Nat is nominated for his second award of the evening after creating many goals throughout the whole season! Will he add to his first trophy? It's only a matter of time before we find out!

Archie Love

The young midfielder has had a sublime season in the centre of the park and has created lots of goals with his superb range of passing. Can he win this award in his first season at Stockport County?

Piero Mingoia

The winger is nominated for his second award, like Nat Jarvis. Piero has had a great season in terms of assists but will it be enough to earn his first trophy of the night? We'll find out soon!

James Marwood

Another one who is nominated for the second time! James has had a very good season with assists coming from the right wing and drilling h=in his deadly crosses, but has he got enough to take home the prize? It's time to find out!

And the winner is...

The young forward has won his second award of the evening! Getting a whopping 15 assists to Archie Love's 13, it's been a superb season for Nat and he takes home another beautiful gold plated trophy! Congratulations!

Best Signing of the Season

Our third award is for the best signing of the season, here are the following THREE nominees for this award;

Nat Jarvis

Nat is nominated yet again for his third award having already won two awards! He looks the favourite to take home a hat-trick of trophies as he got the most goals and assists but the fans are always un-predictable!

Piero Mingoia

The winger is nominated for his third award after having an amazing season for us, although he did get the most goals or assists, he's popped up with some important goals and it will be exciting to see whether he can win his first trophy!

Ross Atkins

The goalkeeper who joined us half-way through the season has been tremendous for County's charge for promotion, saving us on numerous occasions and getting the important save in the FA Trophy Final's penalty shoot-out to get us the win!

And the winner is...

ROSS ATKINS!

A surprising win for Ross Atkins but a deserved one! The number one has been vital in County's promotion charge and in winning the FA Trophy! Congratulations Ross! You win this lovely golden plated trophy with a golden star on top!

Young Player of the Season

Our fourth award is for the young player of the season, here are the following THREE nominees for this award;

Nat Jarvis

Nat is nominated yet again for his fourth trophy after really impressing this season in terms of goals and assists! For a player of his age he has done extremely well but he has to face some tough competition!

Archie Love

The young midfielder has had a great season for the Hatters being a key part of the midfield. His co-ordination and leadership skills for a lad of his age makes him a very good player and fully deserves this nomination!

Aristote Nsiala

The big centre-half is a good candidate for this award after he put in some sublime performances at the heart of the defence. Nsiala has been a key part of our promotion charge and fully deserves this nomination! Let's see who's won...

And the winner is...

ARISTOTE NSIALA!

Our number one centre-half fully deserves this award after his defensive work this season. He's been a rock at the back and he will be a huge player come next season in League 2! Congratulations Aristote! Here's your golden plated trophy with a golden player on top!

Player of the Season

Our final award is for the player of the season, here are the following TWO nominees for this award;

Nat Jarvis

Nat is nominated for this award after a great first season here. His 18 goals and 15 assists have been key for us this season and he deserves being nominated in the final two for this award!

Piero Mingoia

Piero, like Nat, has been instrumental this season with both his goals and assists. He's got some very important goals and has been in great form throughout the second half of the season! Will he win or Nat? It's time to find out...

And the winner is...

PIERO MINGOIA!

Piero has edged Nat to this award after scoring some huge goals in the final stages of the season which ultimately won us the league! Nat has been very good as well as he should be happy getting two trophies this season, but Piero! Congratulations! Take your huge trophy! Well done!

And that's that everyone, thank you very much for coming to this awards evening! We hope to see you all at the start of next season where we will see County back in the Football League!

End of Season One

Well that's the end of Season One! I've hope you've all enjoyed this story. I honestly didn't think I'd get this amount of support and I'd like to thank each and every one of you for helping my story progress.

Regarding Season Two, it will be very shortly, as I'm in the middle of mapping out some ideas and plans for it which I hope you enjoy. It's been a tremendous season and I hope we continue our form into League 2, which will be a very tough task.

A big issue is that my holiday from school is drawing a close and my exams restart soon so there may not be as frequent updates as there have been for this season, I hope you don't lose interest! :)

Many thanks,

Josh_MU.
