Poll: May Story Of The Month

May has been possibly the most competitive month in the FM14 for stories, with many writers gaining plaudits for their efforts on the forums. We've seen an array of different writing techniques and styles and many of them have been intriguing and deserve a lot of praise. Unfortunately our favourite host(ess) Neal cannot present this poll to you this month, so I have to step in to his/her awkwardly small and uncomfortable shoes. Well I most definitely didn't nominate myself

The other judges nominated me, you can ask them if you don't believe me. I personally don't write my story to compete for Story of the Month, I don't find joy in engaging in a hobby purely for competition purposes. I just like to work on my own story writing technique and enjoy the story, as well as the save, and if the other judges think my story is worth a nomination, that's fine for me. Of course I'm happy I get nominated, but I certainly wouldn't cheat to put myself in the competition, I'm not like that. And like I said, if you don't believe, ask the other judges if they nominated me or not.

As Justice pointed out himself, he did not nominate himself - he's not allowed to. There are multiple judges (including myself) who all nominated their top five stories of the month and obviously the others nominated him just like I did. We don't know each other's votes, either, so it's all fair

I've voted for Walter, although I enjoy every story here!

A huge thanks to the judges who have nominated me for my second SoTM nomination. All of these stories are great with great writers to match but my vote has to go to Justice.
