Transfer window and Team Presentation – Part 1

It was a very busy transfer window for us in which we made 11 signins but we also let 19 players go of a fee or loan. I must admit that at the beginig of the transfer window I didn’t expect to form such a good team and I am pretty confident that we can achieve our objective and avoid relegation!
We have also lost an important player, our striker Sergey…but he really wanted to leave and when came the offer from a big club like Stuttgart, we agreed that it’s best to let him go. We received a fee of 1.6 m euro for him and we sigend him on free agent – a good deal for us!

@ pokarioboy, Walter, fzemdegs - thanks guys!
Whaaaaat! Great signings there with Ilori and Shaw, you'll have no trouble staying up, believe me ;)

Strikers

Full Squad

I am very pleased with our transfer window and I think that we have a decent squad that can avoid relegation from Bundesliga!

-------------------------
@bebero - thank you mate!
I'm loving the squad presentation mate, good devotion to detail!

Pre-season fixtures

If you look at the results you may say that we didn’t have the best pre-season..but in our first 2-3 friendlies we had a very small squad as a lot of players left and we didn’t managed to sign replacements so quicly! I am pleased with what we showed in our pre-season and I think we are ready for the new season, our first in Bundesliga! But for sure…it will be much harder than it was in our friendly matches!

Friendly Matches

Terre – Sainte 0 – 5 Red Bull Leipzig

Daniel Frahn Daniel Frahn
Adil Chihi Alex Emenike
Yussuf Poulsen

Terre – Sainte is a club from a lower league in Switzerland, so we didn’t had any problems defeating them, even without any signings. But, it was a good match, that lifted the morale of the team!

St.Pauli 2 – 0 Red Bull Leipzig

None

We’ve faced and defeated ST.Pauli so many times in the last two seasons in Zweite Bundesliga…but this time was different! We had to play with some players from the youth team and we lost the match. I am not upset, as I was expecting a defeat…

Red Bull Leipzig 1 – 2 Red Bull Salzburg

Federico – Palacios Martinez

We already made a few signings, but still it wasn’t enough to defeat a team so strong like Salzburg! As you can see, our scorer was a player from our youth team, a very good prospect, but we loaned him out to gain some experience!

Red Bull Leipzig 0 – 1 Manchester United

None

We lost this match, but we had a very good performance! I think that a defeat this narrow against a giant like Man. Utd is an amazing result for us!

Dunkerque 1 – 9 Red Bull Leipzig

Borek Dockal
Borek Dockal
Elio De Silvestro
Elio De Silvestro
Herve Bazile
Steve Roy (og)
Gavrilovic ( youth player)
Jean Jestin (og)
Chihi

Despite facing a club from a lower French League, I still didn’t expected such a categoric victory! Our team just keeps playing better and better!

Roselare 0 – 7 Red Bull Leipzig

Borek Dockal

Maxi Moralez
Maxi Moralez
Daniel Frahn
Halilovic ( youth player)

Our first match with all the new transfers was against Roselare, a club from second league in Belgium. It was an amazing performance and our new signings already start scoring and playing very well, without accommodation time!

Player of the Pre-season

Borek Dockal, one of our new signings, had amazing performances this pre-season and accommodated very quickly with our tactics!

-------------------------
@fzemdegs - thanks!
Not a great pre-season, but certainly some good results there! Especially the 1-0 loss to United looks good!

August fixtures !

We had a pretty bad start in Bundesliga..certenly not the one we expected! From 4 matches played, we didn’t manage to win, we made two draws and lost twice. At the end of the month we are on 17th place, but I must admit that we had a very tough month as we faced 3 of the strongest clubs from Bundesliga: Sttutgart, HSV and Wolfsburg. Next month we will meet weaker teams and I am sure that we can turn this around!

Bundesliga

Red Bull Leipzig 0 – 1 Augsburg

None

If in the other 3 matches we faced very strong clubs and was expecting defeat, in this match I must admit that I expected a win! But we played poorly and we couldn’t create any real chances to score…

HSV 1 – 1 Red Bull Leipzig

Borek Dockal

I think that for a small new-promoted club, a draw against HSV is a good result. They dominated us, but we had a good game, creating some chances on counter…I think that our problem is that we signed to many players and they need time to accommodate!

Red Bull Leipzig 0 – 1 Sttutgart

None

If against HSV we managed to get a draw..against Sttutgart things were different. They opened the score in min 20 by a goal scored by Ibisevic and they managed to keep this result until the end of the match!

Wolfsburg 2 – 2 Red Bull Leipzig

De Silvestro
Borek Dockal

Again, we didn’t manage to win…but I am pleased with with this draw!

DFB - Pokal

Aicach 0 – 3 Red Bull Leipzig

Maxi Moralez
Quansah
Daniel Frahn

In the cum we faced Aicach, a club from a lower level and we didn’t have any problems defeating them!

League Table

Player of the Month

For the second time in a row, Borek Dockal must be named player of the month…until now, he was our best player!

@ASR-PSV - I hope that we'll bounce back!
Unlucky, mate, you will pick it up, I am sure!

Not a great start, but I'm sure you'll stay up this season! Good luck!
Just caught up with the story. Really interesting so far! Rough go of it at the start of life in the Bundesliga, but as ASR-PSV said, I'd bet you'll stay up.
Not a great start, but I'm sure you have much to show!

Tranfer Window - Review

It was a very busy transfer window all over Europe where hundreads of million euros were spent on player signings, player fees and agent fees. For us was also a very busy window as we signed 11 new players, but we didn’t had millions to spend so we signed free-agents and loans.

July deals

The most expensive transfer of July was also the most expensive one of the whole window, with Borussia Dortmund splashing 27.5 m euro for Argentinian winger Eduardo Salvio from Benfica.

A transfer that catched my eyes is the one Chelsea made, as they were searching for a replacement for Branislav Ivanovic. They signed Daniel Carvajal from Real Madrid for a fee of 21.5 m euro.

Another very interesting deal is one made again by Dortmund, which signed Porto’s striker Jackson Martinez on a fee of 18 m euro.

In my opinion, best deal of the month goes to Bayern Munich, which signed Kevin Volland from Hoffenheim for a fee of just 12.75 m euro.

August deals

The biggest transfer from August is also the second most expensive of the whole window, but in my opinion, this is a very bad deal,as Dortmund spent 24.5 m euro for Barca’s Sergi Samper, which is a totally overrated player!

Best deal of this month goes to Barcelona, which signed Feyenoord’s central defender Bruno Martins Indi for 16.25 m euro. In my opinion, Indi can become one of the best defenders in the world!

September deals

The deal of Younes Belhanda from Dynamo kiev to Southampton stand as the most expensive deal of this window: 10.25 m euro.

----------------------
@ASR-PSV - thanks mate! I hope you're right!
@Nonesuch - I hope you'll keep following this mate!
@bebero - thanks!
