January fixtures and transfer window!
As you know from the last season, in Zweite Bundesliga, there is a winter break in January and just like last season, we decided to play some friendlies so we don’t lose our fitness. From 4 macthes played, we won 2 of them, made one draw and were defeated once…but we faced very strong clubs, so I am pleased with our performance!

There’s not much to say about this match..we’ve met a very poor team and we scored a lot of goals, despite using our reserves. I am pleased with the outcome!
Red Bull Leipzig 2 – 1 Rijeka

Rijeka is a strong team from the Croatian First League, so to get a win against them it’s something very special for us! Once again we dominated our opposition, maintaining possession and creating a lot of chances to score!
Red Bull Leipzig 1 – 3 Aarau

Aarau defeated us, but we played pretty well and just got unlucky and were hit on counter.
Transfer window
The biggest spenders of January were PSG, which splashed a total of 65 m euro for three players: Udinese’s Roberto Pereyra, Inter’s Mateo Kovacic and Ajax’s Lucas Romero.
But the most expensive deal of this month was the transfer of Christian Benteke, which left Aston Villa to join Chelsea on a fee of 25.5 m euro.
Chelsea also made the most expensive deal of February, which is also the biggest one of the window: they paid Southampon 30 m euro for the young midfielder James Ward – Prowse.
Chelsea also sold a midfielder, Marco Van Ginkel, which joined PSG for a fee of 23.5 m euro.
