TAKE THAT CASHED UP CITY!

And it's fitting that your star Frenchmen is leading the French Revolution!

Newcastle United would have to make Loic Remy their top earner to clinch a move

Magpies would have to break wage structure to sign French star, who is still wanted by QPR after his Liverpool move collapsed

Newcastle United could have to make Loic Remy top earner if they want him back at St James’ Park.
The aftermath of Remy’s move to Liverpool collapsing – in which he failed the medical – has resulted in the Magpies re-iterating their interest in the France international striker. After seeing a move to Arsenal break down earlier in the summer due to wage demands, Remy is now back training with QPR.

Remy earns around £80,000-per-week at Loftus Road, Fabricio Coloccini and Clement Grenier are currently Newcastle’s top earners, However, neither are paid what Remy is earning at QPR.

United may also have to pay a huge fee for Remy. The player does have a clause in his contract which currently stands at £12m.

Yet that only applies to clubs who finished in the top four last season and are not viewed as rivals to QPR netting their aim of survival and a respectable Premier League finish.

It is thought that clubs outside the top six must pay a £15m asking price if they are to win his services – and should QPR not get that price they are more than happy to keep Remy and let him lead their line of attack.
Great update - decision to be made.
Do itttttt. Newcastle through and through :D
Good Update but Remy seems rather pricey and too much wage bill
What is Remys form this season?

Steven Taylor hands in transfer request and tells club he wants to play first team football

According to Sky Sports, Newcastle United's Steven Taylor has handed in a transfer request and told the club he wants to leave in January to get some first team football. Reports in England today claimed United have already received several enquiries on the player.

According to nufc.co.uk, Newcastle United have put a $8m pricetag on Steven Taylor. The 28-year-old defender is also a target for Stoke City, Southampton and West Ham. Taylor has yet to cement his place in David Ginola's new look side and is deemed surplus to requirements

Taylor is a right footed central defender who is also equally competent in a right-back role, which could be ideal for any potential suitors . Newcastle United though have lined up defensive replacements, Balanta, Benatia and Shawcross are just a few names that have been linked to a move to St James Park in the next couple of weeks
Seems like that money could go to some really great places...
