Two Superstars to Atletico
With a transfer kitty rumoured to be in the area of £42.5m, plus the influx of cash from the Mario Suarez deal, Atletico Madrid certainly have the money to attract big name players, and two household names have today joined the club in their quest to de-throne Real Madrid and Barcelona at the top of the La Liga. Many Atletico fans will be very happy to see the progress that Aidan Legend is making in the transfer market, and with the moves that he has made, Atletico's success in their quest of La Liga dominance has been made even more of a possibility.
Paul Pogba is hot property amongst the footballing world
Atletico Madrid's accusation of Paul Pogba stands as the most expensive and surprising of the window so far. Juventus had made their reluctance to sell Pogba very clear to the footballing world, however Legend obviously didn’t let up, or accept this philosophy. For the initial fee of £23.5m, this deal is almost a coup really, considering Pogba current ability, and the potential he has yet to discover. At the ripe age of 20, Pogba is one of the hottest players around.
Pogba started his career off at Le Havre, before moving to Manchester United in 2009. Here, Pogba played in the youth system until 2011, where he was promoted to the first team squad, and played in the reserves. After failing to get the opportunities Paul thought he deserved, United and Juventus came to an agreement that ended in Juventus buying the player on a free transfer. Pogba worked his way up the Juventus ranks, and eventually became a key player in the squad that won two consecutive Serie A titles.
Atletico fans are sure to be very happy with this signing, and more faith will now be put into Legend's ability as a manager.
Juan Cuadrado is one of the world's best wingers
Juan Cuadrado has been on the top of many of the biggest clubs in the world's hit list, however once again, Atletico win the signature. Cuadrado earnt his move due to his sublime form throughout the Serie A season, where he pushed Fiorentina into one of the top teams in the league. Cuadrado has become a key player for both club and country over the past few years, and will hope to continue this trend at Atletico.
Juan started off his career at a local club in the Colombian First Division, and played with them up until he was offered to join Italian side Udinese. Juan was loaned out to Leece during his time at Udinese, and he proved his worth over there, consistently giving impressive performances. Udinese eventually sold him to Fiorentina, where Cuadrado flourished, becoming an integral part of the squad. He opens a new chapter now at Atletico. Juan is known for his dancing during goal celebrations, and Atletico fans will be hoping to see this a lot over the coming season.
Cuadrado and Pogba will both start training with the first team squad tomorrow, and will start playing with the team during the upcoming tour of the USA during the pre-season.
