Inter Win Another European Trophy In August

Inter Milan has now picked up their fourth trophy in the last year by beat Chelsea in extra time to win the European Super Cup. The unlikely hero on the night was Marquinhos as he scored a goal in the 105th minute of extra time to seal the win for the Nerazzurri. Eden Hazard had a late equalizer to send it to extra time as Bernard put Inter ahead early in the second half but Marquinhos was able to get the win for Inter off of a corner kick. This was the first time Inter have won the European Super Cup in the clubs history.

Next up was Juventus in the Italian Super Cup as they were going for their second trophy in five days. Unfortunately it was not meant to be as Inter’s rivals handled the Nerazzurri 3-1. It was not a good night for Inter as they were only able to score one goal and were bad defensively and hoped to this one behind them quickly before they start their defense of Serie A. Inter started the 2016-2017 season against Catania in a game they controlled the whole time beating them 5-1 thanks to Januzaj and Fierro pitching in two goals each and van Ginkel pitched in another one. Inter got handed a tough Champions League being placed into Group E, along with Barcelona, Dortmund and Steaua.

August Fixtures

Bernard - 1 goal, 1 assist, 8.5 rating

Paul Pogba - 1 assist, 9.0 rating

Adnan Januzaj - 2 goals, assist, 9.5 rating

Corngrats on the trophy. That CL group looks very tough, but I think you'll make it though! :)

Ya its defiantly one of the tougher groups but I think I can make it through.
This was a transfer that was already agreed upon before Luis Figo took over two year but he is looking forward to having this Brazilian left back who will add depth to the squad.
Another transfer that was agreed upon before the summer was the singing of Romagnoli which was decided upon in February. Romagnoli is the brightest young center back in Italy already capping for the country at the age of 21 and will be a big part of the Inter defense this year.
Inter have investing in the future by buying this Croatian defensive midfielder who has a chance to be a big impact for the Nerazzurri in a couple of years.
John Stones is another up and coming center back having capped 12 times for England already at the age of 22. Figo expects Marquinhos, Stones and Romagnoli be his three center backs for years to come.
Inter fixed their last hole in their team by this great capture of Brazilian left-back who has capped for Brazil 23 times and has enjoyed five successful year at FC Porto and will bring in key Champions League experience.
Tielemens is another capture for the future as Inter have bought another midfielder for the future. At the young age of 19 Youri has already had 7 senior caps for Belguim and is a big part of Inter's plans for the future.
A big power move by Luis Figo in this big capture of Argentina international Erik Lamela who he hope can lead him to Champions League glory and well as defending his Seie A title.
Inter added a lot experience in goal with the free signing of Petr Cech who has plenty of year playing for Chelsea. He has won the Champions League, Europa League and English Premier Leagues along with 121 international caps. Figo said this is the biggest signing of the summer window and could pay off huge for the Nerazzurri if this works out.

Inte have done a lot of dealing in this transfer window shipping out three starters from last year. Figo think they won't be missed at the club as he think they have had a great transfer window and has found better replacements for the players he sent out and added some new pieces they were missing last year.
Some expensive transfers :O hope Lamela performs for you

Ya I agree but I needed depth and quality because I'm going for the treble and the board gave me the transfer budget to do so.

http://cdn2.sbnation.com/uploads/chorus_image/image/8156721/161702379.0_standard_709.0.jpg

Inter Milan had nine players miss time this month due to injury including Tielemens, Sterling, Kovacic, Romangnoli, D'ambrosia, Darmian, Alex Sandro, Bernard and van Ginkel all missed games in November. With all of those injures it didn't hurt their Champions League campaign as they took down Steaua 3-2 thanks to goals from Kovacic, Stones and a late winner from Erik Lamela. They went on to thrash Barcelona 5-2 to secure top spot in the group, due to injuries and the fact that they already won the group, Figo decided to experiment with his side to much disappointment as Inter were destroyed themsleves 5-1. Figo will still be happy with how the Champions League as gone so far winning a tough group with Barcelona and Dortmund in it.

From all of these injuries it left Inter with their bare bones and they lost their top spot in the division to Juventus. It showed right away when they tied 0-0 with Udinese in Rome, they struggled to get any attacking play going all night long and saw them draw with a team they should've beat. They were able to figure out their woes as they went on to beat Cesena 5-3 with two goals from Lamela and Fierro with Bakkali firing himself one of his own.

November Fixtures

Valeri Domovchiyski - 2 goals, 8.6 rating

Roberto Pereyra - 1 goal, 1 assist, 9.1 rating

Shinji Kagawa - 3 goals, 1 assist, 9.7 rating

Player of the Month - Erik Lamela

Erik Lamela has won Player of the Month for the month of November for his fine play all month long by scoring three goals and three assists. His best game was against Cesena where he scored two goals leading the Nerazzurri to victory on the day.It was hard for Lamela to find playing time at the beginning of the season due to Bernard and Sterling already on the wings but he has cemented himself as a fantastic first team option for Figo.
A lot of injuries at the minute but you're cruising and bruising! That Dortmund defeat looked pretty hard but you're still in with a shot at everything, which is always positive!

That was a pretty bad lose but thankfully I already had the group locked up with that big win against Barcelona.
