Jose Mourinho: Chelsea will win the Premier League title

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho believes the Blues will win their first Premier League title since 2010 this season, and only the officials are in their way.
Mourinho’s first spell at the club turned out to be a trophy-laden period for the self-proclaimed ‘Special One’ – he ended Chelsea’s 50-year wait for a league title in his first season, successfully defended the crown in 2005 and won two League Cups and an FA Cup.

However, Mourinho has two targets for the upcoming season – to be competitive in the title race and to monitor the club’s future direction in terms of youth development, with Englsih duo Isiah Brown and Lewis Baker and coming very much into the new manager’s thinking.

‘I don’t need anybody to push me to have that ambition, I have enough motivation and desire to do it myself,’ said Mourinho.

‘We will win the title this season and if our plan of evolution goes right with the players and they listen to everything I have to say, we'll dominate England for years to come'

Mourinho added: ‘These “kids” – and I say that respectfully – have big potential and big space for improvement. They’ve not reached their best level yet.

‘The stability the owner and I can give them is related to work – in the methods, the coaching philosophy, in my leadership, in everything that can help them improve.

‘When you mix with them those who are over 30, we will keep a balance and try to go on.’

Chelsea get transfer dealings underway

Jose Mourinho has wasted no time In strengthening his squad for the upcoming season with the signing of three of football's brightest young talents, Jose has made it clear he is definitely looking toward the future this season, as he looks to build a squad capable of challenging for honours for many years to come, and with these 3 signings, the process is well underway

Jesus Vallejo

Young centreback Jesus Vallejo was Mourinho's first official signing, the former Real Zaragoza man only cost Chelsea a measly $2,000,000, and if the reports from chief scout Piet De Visser are anything to go by, Chelsea have got a real bargain. Jesus Vallejo has been sent straight out on loan to Genoa who have promised first team fooball, this will provide invaluable experience in tactically the best league in Europe.

Neal Maupay

Next to sign for Chelsea is young French striker Neal Maupay, who has signed from Ligue 1 side Nice, Maupay as only scored 13 goals in 55 matches for Nice in the last 3 seasons, but has obviously caught the eye of the Chelsea staff, and in particular Jose Mourinho. Neal Maupay has also been shipped out on loan, but he will staying in England with Middlesbrough, who also have Patrick Bamford in their squad from Chelsea

Alexis Blin

Alexis Blin is not a player many people would have heard of, but he's someone weve been tracking for some time now, Blin is a product of the Toulouse youth academy, he had only played one match for the first team, but has represented France at every level of youth football, I thought it would be a great time to snap him up before any of the big boys decided to come knocking. Alexis Blin will move straight into the under 21's squad for the upcoming season.
Great start! Good luck mate!
Wow, this looks like a great start. Maybe write a little longer about the transfers? Anyways, good luck on this story mate!

Chelsea begin the season with a bang

Chelsea have begun the season in blistering form, recording 6 wins on the trot without conceding a single goal, Eden Hazard and Nemanja Matic have been key so far, with Eden's goals and Matic's steel in the midfield, Jose Mourinho's men have looked unstoppable.

Eden Hazard celebrates after slotting his penalty past David De Gea

The season kicked off at Stamford Bridge against a Stoke side set up to frustrate with 4 at the back with 2 deep lying midfielders, this tactic used by Mark Hughes was looking to do the job as Chelsea dominated possession but couldn't break them down, it did take until the half hour mark for Chelsea to take the lead, and it was there star man Eden Hazard as he skipped past Ryan Shawcross before burying it past Asmir Begovic and into the top corner, Chelsea continued to press, looking for a second, but it wasn't to be and it ended 1-0. Chelsea off the mark

A trip to Old Trafford was next to face Manchester United who had recently spend upwards of 250m on new signings so they were expected to impress, but Jose Nourinho had other ideas and setup in a 4-3-2-1 with 3 very deep lying midfielders in a bid to frustrate the home side. Manchester United came out firing and hit the woodwork twice in the space of two minutes before going close again in the 15th minute through Wesley Sneijder, but hit the shot straight at Courtois who played the ball quickly to Willian who made his way into the penalty area before being brought down by Rafael, Eden Hazard stepped up and dispatched the penalty with consummate ease to give the visitors the lead, that's how it stayed til the second half. Mourinho made a change at the break taking off Fabregas and replacing him with Mikel to sure things up, Manchester United did have most the ball in the second half but couldn't really muster any real goalscoring chances. it stayed 1-0

Chelsea went on to win their remaining 4 matches, without really breaking into a sweat during August and September, also managing to hold a very solid Arsenal side goalless as they ran out 2-0 winners

August & September results

Chelsea currently sit second in the Premier League after 6 matches but with a match in hand, and are looking very confident and comfortable indeed, will they be able to continue this rich vein of form for the duration of the campaign they'll be very hard to stop indeed

Barclays Premier League title

The perfect month, no goals conceded. Well done. Keep it up

Didier Drogba's goal helps Chelsea pull further clear as they see off Manchester City at Stamford Bridge

Chelsea players celebrate as Drogba makes it 2-0 late on in the match at Stamford Bridge

It was dubbed the biggest match of the season to date, and eyes were peeled to see if Manchester City could end Chelsea's unbeaten run which stood at 11 matches going into this match.
Though it was a home match, Jose Mourinho went with a more cautious approach and played with two deep lying midfielders instead of his usual 1 man wrecking team in Nemanja Matic, this time he had John Obi Mikel partnering him in the middle, the duo were kept very busy in the first 30 minutes as Manchester City came out with the intent of unsettling this Chelsea side, and did have the best of the chances in the first 45 minutes as Sergio Aguero and Nasri both went agonizingly close to giving City the lead, but they were made to pay for their wastefulness as Oscar finished off a great flowing move involving Willian and Matic to slot home on 39 minutes, 1-0 at half time.

the second half started exactly how the first half started, as Manchester City went for the jugular and pushed men forward looking for that all important goal, Fernandinho rattled the crossbar in the 58th minute after skipping past Terry and Cahill, then minutes later Aguero stung the hands of Courtois with a long range effort, Terry was there to sweep up the rebound, as City pushed for the equaliser they were caught on the break as Eden Hazard found space and lifted the ball over the City defence finding Didier Drogba who made no mistake, slotting the ball under the on rushing Hart.

This win at Stamford Bridge means Jose Mourinho's men have won all three match against their title rivals without conceding a single goal, yet again Mourinho has found a way to beat the big teams, it may not be pretty at times but it is very effective

Monthly results

We started the month off with two straight wins against West Brom and Burnley, we did finally concede, but the most important thing is we came away with 6 points which put us in good stead for the rest of the month, we then travelled to St Mary's to play Southampton and cam away with a 2-2 draw despite being played off the park, overall I was pleased with the heart the team showed to be able to fight back.
We finished off the month with wins against Crystal Palace, West Ham and Manchester City without conceding a single goal

English Premier League ladder

We've managed to pull well clear at the top of the league, Manchester City, our closest rivals are 7 points adrift, with Manchester United and Liverpool a further 9 & 10 points back respectively, Leicester City are currently propping up the table and already look in great danger of going down

easy peasy, should be yours for the taking mate
Good to see you singing some young talent, Neal Maupay became a beast for my recent Liverpool save!

Cracking result again Man Shitty :P

and well done on not conceding any goals, I think Eden Hazard is one of the best players on the game, so versatile playing across the park
This little horse is now the stallion of the league, great writing and you should have the league done and dusted. :)
Man City boss Pellegrini slams Chelsea: You play like West Ham!

Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini slammed Jose Mourinho's tactics for yesterday’s 2-0 loss to Chelsea.
Chelsea left with a win after Oscar and Drogba scored two goals, both of which came against the run of play. "It think we played 90 minutes against a small team trying to defend, trying to keep 10 players in front of their goal, and (we were) a team that wanted to win from the beginning," Pellegrini said.

"I think we played against exactly the same team we played against West Ham here.

"It was very difficult for us to score against 10 defeders. I don't want to analyse Chelsea. What the other teams do, it is not my duty to analyse."

"It is not a result that I want, not what we deserved but the game was very similar to the game against West Ham. Ten players defended their own half, they scored two on the counter attack and they continue to defend until the end."

"The result is not what both team did during 90 minutes. I am happy because our team played in one way, we continue playing with 11 players, trying to score, and with one player less trying not to have another counter attack and concede a goal. I am very happy with the mentality of our team."

"It is so important to play like a big team, and not like a small team. I would not be happy to play that way, we continue with the same ambition, teams will find it hard to beat us, the team performance was very good," Pellegrini insisted.
Cheeky Pellegrini, shouldn't really be talking not like City play the most exciting football! Great updates keep em coming ;)
Lol brilliant story lovely layout and good run of games keep it up!
Pellegrini be salty.

Very nice start! If you can stick to this one, it should be a good one. :) Although, Chelsea aren't the most challenging of teams, I must say... ;)
Chelsea Manager Mourinho Hits Back at Pellegrini's claim that Chelsea play like West Ham

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho says that he is satisfied with his team's performance and the 2-0 win against defending champions Manchester City, despite being criticised by Manuel Pellegrini for his defensive tactics.
Although the Blues chose to defend and created very few chances during the game, they went ahead through Oscar in first half, and just as it looked like the Blues were closing in on a 1-0 victory, club legend Didier Drogba came off the bench to make it 2-0 and make sure of the 3 points.

Despite copping criticism for his tactics during the win, Mourinho says that he is pleased with the way his side played.

"It is a big result because we arrive here as leaders with a 4 point lead in the title race, but we leave with a 7 point lead," Mourinho told Sky Sports after the match.

"I don't look to direct opponents, I don't look to other clubs in a special way. I look to the table and we are leaders and 7 point clears. We come here to play againt difficult opponent and we leave to better conditions than we arrived, so good. It was a very, very good performance."
