"We're the Champions!" - said the Sporting TV journalist, Sara Silveira, opening the news.

"Montero was the Lions hero, as he scored the 2 goals for the new champions".

"Today it ends a long wait of 14 years without the main title from the portuguese competitions, the Primeira Liga title".

"The team has already arrived at Lisbon and will now go to the Estádio de Alvalade to, in short moments, greet the fans with the title".

"The fans received the team with a great party outside the stadium, and will go inside to be part of the great party that's set to last all night long".

"We'll go live to Alvalade where the party is happening, and the team is already in the field, ready to rise the Primeira Liga trophy, above their heads"

"Every Sporting fan will be welcome in Alvalade to be part of this wonderful night".

"If you can't go to Alvalade, we'll be here, in Sporting TV, covering tonight's happenings live from Lisbon".

"So before we get definitely to Alvalade, let me say goodbye for tonight to all you. And say that finally, the greatest club in the world, is again, portuguese champion".

"Take care. And enjoy the party".

João Mário's Injury

On a night of glory and happiness, there was room for a bad new.
Sporting's midfielder, João Mário, leaved the field at the 4th minute of the match against Porto, and the news about his injury arrived this morning.
The portuguese international will be out beetween 4 and 5 weeks, and it's not clear that he'll return to competition this season with the Lions shirt.
Luckily for him, and the portuguese national team, he will be ready to play in the Eurocup this summer in France.
João Mário renewed his contract recently with the Lions and has a deal until 2020.
