Josh Brilliante is a brilliant signing. :P

Sorry, but he should tear up the Serie C
The squad is truly beginning to take shape under your reign.... I foresee a successful season ahead!

League Table

Player of the Month

Niccolo Belloni

Since arriving on loan from Internazionale, Niccolo Belloni has made an instant impact, scoring in the 1-1 draw with Cuneo. Having assisted three goals in six pre season friendlies the right winger has put a lot of effort into his game time so far and his work rate has been extremely commendable and he will be fighting for a place in the starting XI for the first league game against Como come the start of the season.

Next Month

Parma start their first season in the third tier of Italian football in 30 years sees Parma start the season against recently relegated Como on the edge of the famous lake. The first league game of the season at the Ennio Tardini will see Parma face Padova before Paolo Vanoli’s men make the trip to Pavia. Their final game of the month sees Parma welcome AC Reggiana to Stadio Ennio Tardini with Vanoli’s men hoping to have started the season in fine form by then.

Manager’s Thoughts

It wasn’t the best pre season campaign we could have hoped for but to be brutally honest we have to accept that we were playing against some very strong teams and we deliberately lined up friendlies against Serie A opponents in Atalanta and Roma, and against Champions League regulars Basel to really test ourselves. We’ve done that and the performance levels have still been high even if the results weren’t great and I am confident that we can approach the new season full of confidence that we can start it with three points. In the Coppa Italia Lega Pro we did well to get out of the group and now we can concentrate on the next round and getting results there. As for transfers, I am very happy with the signings we have made. There have been a fair few I will admit, but all the lads who have come in have hit the ground running in my mind and add some real quality to this squad as we try to continue to rebuild this club and keep things moving in the right direction.

some promising pre season results there to be honest, not far from big boy standard
I am impressed with your pre-season to be honest, some bug tests and your players did themselves no shame!
I am expecting back to back promotions!
That's a decent preseason looking at some of the teams you played mate!

Some promising results and performances but a fair few thrashings in there too :P

Yeah they were difficult tests but the players did well...mostly!

You'll have to wait and see for that one mate ;)

Yeah some difficult teams, but thought we could have done better in one or two!

LEGA PRO: A LEAGUE EXPLAINED

03 September 2015
________________________________________
- Lega Pro season starts tomorrow
- 54 teams are all competing for 4 places in Serie B
- Teams separated into three regional divisions

The 2016/2017 Lega Pro season is all set to start tomorrow, with interest higher than ever after Parma were promoted to the division last year by virtue of winning Serie D in their first season since the club was rebranded due to bankruptcy. Last season Parma won their Girone by 6 points and after winning the tournament to see who was crowned Scudetto winners, this season they start their camapaign away from home against Como who were relegated from Serie B last year. Here at Gazzetta dello Sport, we’re going to give you a rundown of how the league system works.

---

Lega Pro Information
Tier: 3
Teams: 54

Regional Divisions: There are three regional divisions in Lega Pro, called Girones, with the teams split based on geographical location. Girone A contains teams from the North, Girone B contains teams from the North and the Centre of Italy whilst Girone C contains teams from the South.

Promotion:The three winners of each Girone will be promoted to Serie B. The teams who finish 2-4th in each Girone will be organised into a table with the eight best sides competing in a play off system for the final promotion spot.

Relegation: The bottom team in each Girone is relegated to Serie D. The teams who finish 14-17th qualify for a play out to secure their futures in the division.

There are 18 teams competing in each of the three Girones in Lega Pro, with all the teams playing each other twice, meaning the teams play a minimum of 34 games this season.

Squad Registration Rules

Unlike in Serie D, there is a maximum squad size for teams in the Lega Pro, with clubs allowed to register a maximum of 24 players, 5 of which have to be under the age of 21. Again unlike in Serie D there are no match squad selection rules with teams free to select 11 players of their choosing for their games in the division.

With only one place in each Girone guaranteeing promotion to Serie B the hunt for the league title is set to be a tight affair and it is going to be an exciting season ahead.

Well that's untangled me! I was always baffled as to how this certain league works but you've explained it perfectly :D
The coming season will certainly be one of true excitement! Let's hope you can reach the next division in no time :P
I am pretty sure lower league Italy is more complex than the MLS!
