League Table

Player of the Month

Francesco Corapi

This man has been in terrific form this month and has really helped power Parma towards the first promotion of Paolo Vanoli’s reign. Despite not having the best start to the season as he didn’t fit the tactic, his attitude has been the main reason why he has impressed so much of late and after scoring twice over the course of February, Francesco Corapi is the deserved winner of February’s Player of the Month award.

Injuries

Riccardo Musetti. The forward who started the season in good form, will most likely miss the rest of the campaign after tearing ligaments in his knee, meaning he may well have played his last game for Parma as manager Paolo Vanoli looks to rebuild his squad in the coming months.
Simone Corazza. The new signing, was an unfortunate casualty this month, although he will only miss another three weeks and will most likely be back for the big fixtures at the end of the season, once his twisted ankle recovers.

Next Month

As we enter the final ten games of the Serie D season, it is a more important month than ever before for Parma. Sitting three points clear of second placed Forli, Paolo Vanoli’s men will be hoping to be victorious against Imolese in their first game of March on the road, before they meet Correggese for the return game against the team they thrashed 7-2 earlier in the season. Lentigione who are bravely battling against the drop this season are next up for Parma at the Ennio Tardini, in their only home game of the month. However the biggest game of the month comes on the 23rd as promotion chasing Forli entertain Parma in a huge game which could go a long way to deciding who is promoted to the Lega Pro next season.

Other News

14.02.2016: It wasn’t a happy valentines day for two managers in Serie D this year as Legnago took the decision to sack Andrea Orecchia with the team lying in 19th position in the Girone.
14.02.2016: Meanwhile Virtus Castelfranco also parted ways with their manager as Marcello Chezzi was fired by his own father with the club sitting in 16th and a relegation play off place.
21.02.2016: In one of the more surprising managerial casualties of the season, Altovicentino took the decision to sack Mauro Zironelli after 27 games, with the previously predicted promotion candidates, lying in 9th in Serie D Girone D.
21.02.2016: Meanwhile Ribelle, previously predicted to finish 7th, took the decision to remove Mauro Antonioli from their managerial position, with the club languishing in the relegation play off spots.

Manager’s Thoughts

It’s been a huge month where we’ve extended our stay at the top of the table which is excellent and exactly what we all want to see. However there have been two results, against Ravenna and Altovicentino that we should have done better in and the fact we’ve lost both of those games is really frustrating and quite saddening really. However the performances have been good across all the games we’ve played this month, and if we can maintain that level of performance we will be very close to promotion come the end of next month because that is what our performances at the moment deserve.

Sucks about those two losses but you should have no problem next month
Two losses are not ideal but you are still going well!

Two losses mate but still three wins in there that have kept us top of the league so its all good for now!

2016-05-23 03:49#232238 Griffo : Two losses are not ideal but you are still going well!

Nah not the best but we're still winning more than enough games to keep pushing for promotion!

Position: 2nd
Manager: Massimo Gadda
Captain: Enrico Fantini
Key Player: Fabio Adobati
Injuries & Suspensions: Fabio Adobati, Manuel Nocciolini
Last Match: 4-1 Vs. San Marino Calcio
Form:

Fans Prediction: ”This game is going to be the biggest game of our season and we cannot wait. Win it and we feel like we would be in the driving seat for the rest of the season to go and claim promotion. Having had such a good season, if Parma weren’t in this league, I’d be so happy right now, but the matter of the fact is we’re always going to struggle with such a giant of the country here. Hopefully though we can go up against them at our own place and get the three points.”

Parma
Based In: Parma
Position: 1st
Manager: Paolo Vanoli
Captain: Alessandro Lucarelli
Key Player: Marcello Sereni
Injuries & Suspensions: Giacomo Ricci, Rodrigo Alborno, Riccardo Musetti
Last Match: 5-1 Vs. Lentigione
Form:

Fans Prediction: ”We’ve had a little blip again and then we’ve gone and thumped Lentigione at the weekend and we need to make sure that against Forli, we don’t slip up and throw away everything we’ve worked so hard to achieve so far this year. Just by getting a point here though I’ll be delighted because at least it will make sure we don’t slip up from top spot, and so long as we don’t lose we’re in a very good position.”

Big game will be vital for your promotion chances you get a good result
Big match here, good luck

League Table

Player of the Month

Francesco Corapi

The winger has had another terrific month as Parma really cemented their place at the top of Girone D by beating Forli in their final game of the month. Francesco Corapi, as our most experienced winger was pivotal to our successes and having had an excellent month, he more than deserves this award, and will be a big player, not just for the final five games, but for next year as well.

Injuries

Alessio Agrifogli. The on loan defender who has barely featured for Paolo Vanoli’s side this term, is set to miss the rest of the season with a back strain, meaning he has more than likely played his last game for the club.
Rodrigo Alborno. The full back, whose form has slightly dipped of late and who has struggled for minutes, is suffering from a sports hernia and will miss two to three weeks of remaining weeks of the season.

Next Month

With their final five fixtures of the season, Parma know that four wins will see them safely into next season’s Lega Pro, and even that will only be necessary if Forli, Ravenna and Delta Rovigo all win all of their remaining games. For Parma then, they start April with a home tie against Delta Rovigo at the Ennio Tardini, and will be hoping to essentially knock the visitors out of the hunt for promotion. Next up is two games against two teams sitting in the mid table region in Clodiense and Villefranca Veronese. Romagna Centro who have taken points off the promotion candiates this season are next up in Parma’s final game at the Ennio Tardini this season, by which point Parma will be hoping promotion will already be secured. In what they will be hoping won’t be their final game of the season, Paolo Vanoli’s men face a trip to Bellaria for their final game, where they will be hoping they don’t need to claim a result going in to the final game of the season.

Youth Intake

March also saw the club’s annual youth intake, with Parma signing three young players with potentially bright futures ahead of them, with Ermes Affatigato, Gaetano Mantovani and Andrea Munari being the three players being tipped to be a part of the clubs future.

Other News

05.03.2016: Silvano Frolucci was today announced as the new manager of Virtus Castelfranco, with the struggling side hoping Frolucci is the man to keep them in Serie D for next season.
06.03.2016: Antonio Tessariol was appointed manager of Legnago with just 8 games left in the Serie D season although he will have a lot of work to do if Legnago are to survive relegation.
09.03.2016: Manuele Domenicali was today appointed the new manager in charge of Altovicentino after impressing the club board, with the hope that he can steer them up the table, ahead of a hopeful push for promotion next season.
17.03.2016: Gianni Balugani was today appointed the new manager of Ribelle with the pre season promotion favourites sitting in 14th in the table.
23.03.2016: In a big month for managerial sackings, Correggese were the latest club to fire their manager as Nicola Campedelli had his contract terminated with Correggese sitting 10th in Serie D Girone D.

Manager’s Thoughts

A good month after that final game. I was extremely nervous going into that game against Forli, hoping that everything we’d worked so hard for over the course of the season wasn’t undone in one game against the team placed second in the league. Thankfully it wasn’t and we’ve moved four points clear at the top of our Girone which is fantastic. Now we just have to make sure that in our final five games we really push on and make sure we secure promotion, starting with that game against Delta Rovigo. If we can turn those draws from the start of the month into wins, then we’ll have no problem whatsoever in making sure we’re playing in the Lega Pro next season.

I REALLLY! wanna do the San Marino challenge now.. haha
It's just the last stretch now! You can do it!
I am loving this story it must be said!
A nice lead at the top heading into the last five games. Good luck staying top
That youth intake looks tasty to be honest, 3 very decent players looking to come through :)
