Speculations Continue Over New Liverpool Signing

June 28th 2020

Over the past few weeks multiple sources have suggested that Liverpool has agreed terms to bring back an ex-player. This transfer is thought to be either of Roberto Firmino (Man Utd), Jordan Henderson (Man City) or of Andy Robertson (PSG). All three players have played at Liverpool and would most probably still be playing had it not been for the bankruptcy 2 years ago. Roberto Firmino is probably the most unwanted player among the fans, as he moved to Liverpool rivals Manchester United after spending 2 years at Guangzhou Hengda. Firmino has stated "I don't think I'll ever return to Liverpool. Probably I am not even wanted there anymore." Ex-Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson has been at Manchester City for the past 2 years making 67 appearances for the club scoring 2 goals and assisting 5. Henderson has said to be open to a return at Anfield, provided that the club is in the Premier League. Lastly, we have Andy Robertson, who was a fan favourite and fans still really want him to come back. The Scottish defender has been playing at PSG for the past 2 years establishing his place in the starting eleven. Also, Robertson had been asked if he would go back to Liverpool even if they are not in the Premier League in an interview some months ago. Andy said "If they ever make an offer and PSG accepts, I think the most probable answer will be yes." An official announcement of a transfer is thought to take place next Thursday (02/07/20). What are your thoughts on this?

    Andy Robertson Returns To Liverpool

After many weeks of speculation, Liverpool finally announce the signing of a former player. A big shock to some fans, a not that big one to others, the player that re-signed for Liverpool is none other than Scotland captain Andy Robertson. Liverpool agreed with PSG for the fee of €30.000.000, which of course is an absolute bargain for the type of player Robertson is. Robertson will be wearing the number 26, as he did the last time he played for the club. Andy has already met the manager and the players (some of which he knows already), and he has also started training at Melwood. The transfer news has made quite an impact at social media, praising Liverpool for managing to sign Andy for as little as they did. The 26 year-old will be earning €58.000 p/w until 2024.

Does he still have Mbappé in his pocket?

    Liverpool Boost Midfield With Dahoud

Just some minutes ago, Mahmoud Dahoud passed his medical at Liverpool to officially join the English club. The 24 year-old German has joined Liverpool for the fee of €12.750.000 and will be earning €37.000 p/w. He will be wearing the number 8, which Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard once wore. Risky move that one, as it is possible that Dahoud won't live up to expectations. Dahoud had apparently requested to leave Dortmund as he wasn't playing enough. He was set to join Chelsea, but the transfer was cancelled at the last minute, as Chelsea signed Ousmane Dembele from Barcelona for the fee of €106.000.000 and didn't have sufficient funds to complete the transfer. Dahoud's second choice was Liverpool as he stated in his press conference so that doesn't mean he didn't want to be here.

    Bargain.

    Liverpool Extend Loan Deals

Liverpool have extended the loan deals of Emile Smith-Rowe and Brahim Díaz until the end of the season. This is Díaz's 3rd year at Liverpool and Smith-Rowe's 2nd year. Both are adored by fans and are excited to see them for another year at this club. Liverpool tried to sign both of them on a permament transfer this summer, but they were too expensive to buy as each club wanted at least €50.000.000. Díaz will be wearing the number 6 on his shirt, and Simth-Rowe the number 11.

Great to see the preparations for next season are on track!

    Liverpool Bring Exciting Prospects

As it was announced earlier today, Liverpool have bought two exciting prospects for the combined fee of €7.000.000. Firstly, we have 18 year-old Aksel Gibson. The englishman plays as a striker and was bought from Sunderland for €5.000.000 and signed a 2 year contract worth €1.300 p/w. Gibson really impressed with the Sunderland U18s last season, where he scored 17 goals in 24 games. He is known for his acceleration and determination. The other player that was brought to Liverpool is 17 year-old Patrício Lima. The Portuguese plays as a goalkeeper and was brought from Braga for €2.000.000 and also signed a two year contract worth €1.400 p/w. Lima made 2 league appearances for Braga in the Liga NOS last season, and another 7 in the Taça de Portugal. In these 9 appearances he conceded 4 goals and kept 5 clean sheets. Lima may not be that good, but he is still very young and if trained well, he'll have a bright future ahead of him.

Some absolute brilliant business being conducted here and preparations for the new season is well underway. A lot to be excited about with these new arrivals.

    Bakayoko Joins Liverpool

After Wilmot's loan deal ended and Watford wasn't willing to let him out on loan again, Liverpool were in need of a new centre-back. It seems like new transfer Tiémoué Bakayoko fills the void left by Wilmot. While not a natural centre-back, Bakayoko can confidently play the position and can also play as a defensive midfielder. The 25 year-old joined for the fee of €13.000.000 from Chelsea as he was surplus to requirements there. The young French will wear the number 3 and will be earning €68.000 p/w until 2023.

  • Let's hope next season we'll be focusing on the PL. ;)
    French.
That amount of money in the Championship, it really does show that Liverpool shouldn't be there and instead should be back in the Premier League. :P

Liverpool Scoop Up Deadline Day Signing

Sources had suggested that Liverpool was going to make a deadline day transfer, but no one thought that it would be a new right back. Just 4 hours before the deadline was hit, Liverpool sold backup defender Connor Randall was sold to Blackburn for the fee of €275.000. That is probably why Liverpool manager Pierre Jean-Jacques bought Ryan Nyambe. The 22 year-old joined Liverpool from Blackburn for for a fee of €7.250.000 for the role of a backup right back and will be earning €11.250 p/w until 2022. Nyambe is known for his fitness, his bravery and his work rate. He can also play CB, which is another nice positive. Nyambe stated in his press confrence that he knows that he may not stay a lot of years at Liverpool, but he wants to learn as much as possible. Lastly, except from Randall, 23 year-old winger Ryan Kent also left the club and joined Sheffield United for €1.000.000 as he was thought to be surplus to requirements.
