VVD in lower league football should be illegal. He's the best defender in English football, and arguably one of the top 5 defenders in the world!
Liverpool Defender Joe Gomez Agrees To Join Wolves
January 12th 2020
Liverpool have confirmed that as of now, England international Joe Gomez is a Wolves player. Wolves paid the player's release clause (17.250.000€) and while Liverpool tried to convince him to stay at the club by offering him a new contract, his heart was already set. Gomez has apparently just been revealed as a Wolves player. Gomez will be now earning double of what he earned at Liverpool, being paid 56.000€ p/w. This will not hurt only fans, but the club as well as Joe was considered a team leader among the players. The vice-captain role has now been reassigned to Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Damn, he's a great defender and for £17m that's a steal for Wolves. Still, that's money back into the club now!
Gutted to see him go, could have been a legend for you!
Liverpool Sign Dortmund Prospect Alexander Isak
January 14th 2020
Liverpool announced the signing of Dortmund striker and Sweden international Alexander Isak. The two clubs apparently agreed upon the fee of 18.000.000€ and if he ever leaves Liverpool, Dortmund will also get 30% of the money from the new deal. Alexander was unhappy with his playing time in BVB so when Liverpool came knocking, he happily said yes. He has signed a 2 year contract and will be earning €26.000 p/w at Liverpool and will wear the number 11, which ex-Liverpool player Mohamed Salah once wore. Isak has already met with Keith Millen and will be making his debut against Accrington in 3 days from now. The money of course came from the Gomez sale. While certainly not his replacement, he's still a great addition to the club.
Here's some key moments from his press conference:
"First of all, Isak, welcome to Liverpool. What made you join a club that is so different from Dortmund? I mean, Dortmund plays in the Bundesliga and Liverpool in League 1. So basically, what attracted you to a lower division club?"
"Thanks for welcoming here. I know this transfer may be a surprise to many, but I really wanted to join this magnificent club. First of all, I highly respect Jean-Jacques and yes even though he's inactive right now, I am really excited to play under him when he returns. Moreover, I want to help Liverpool become the club it once was. Reclaim what was theirs, or rather ours. I really believe I have the ability to do so."
"What is your message to the supporters?"
"I know the fans here are family to the players.I would like to start treating them like family as well and I hope they will accept it. I want to hear them chant my name in Anfield. I am ready to touch the "This Is Anfield" sign. I am ready to become a Liverpool legend."

Liverpool Sign Gomez Replacement
January 16th 2020
Just 4 days after Joe Gomez was announced by Wolves, Liverpool signed Middlesbrough defender Dael Fry for a fee of €17.500.000 hoping to replace him. The 22 year-old has been called up to National U21 England team 9 times and now that he'll be getting more playing time, he'll be hoping to continue the caps. Dael Fry has signed on a 2 year contract and will be earning €7.500 p/w. Also, he will be wearing number 3 on his shirt as it was revealed in his first press confrence.
When asked if he'll be able to fill up Joe Gomez's shoes, he answered:
"Well, Joe is a great defender and it will be a very difficult job to accomplish, but that's why Liverpool signed me so expect to see me trying my best in every single match out there. I'm proud to be wearing the Liverpool shirt and I know this may sound a bit cliché as everyone has already said it, but I want to help restore the club in its former glory."

Great signing. Fry has a lot of potential to grow as a player and I'm confident he'll be neutered perfectly by Liverpool.

Jack Butland To Join Liverpool
January 31st 2020
Liverpool have agreed to buy Jack Butland for a fee of €15.000.000 at the end of the season. As Liverpool are almost promoted to the Championship, the need for better players is there and it seems that Nick Pope will become a backup keeper as Butland will be the starter. He'll be earning €28.000 p/w for two years. He's apparently very happy to leave Stoke after requesting to leave because he wasn't offered a new contract. This deadline day deal seems to be Liverpool's last as time is running out and nothing is being reported.

Fry and Butland will be great reinforcements that could easily be a big core of your team for along time to come!
Butland has been around so long that it is (at times) difficult to remember that he's relatively young for a goalkeeper. Good addition, will be interesting to see whether you stick or twist with Pope as your starting keeper.
