Some absolutely stellar work so far. A shame to lose your unbeaten record in the league, however form always comes to an end eventually. But, your European campaign is still going strong and who knows what can happen against PSG.

Finally, congratulations on winning the league cup! Another piece of silverware, already, to add to the cabinet.
This story looks magnificent, I think if you keep this up you have story of the month in your sights
Absolutely bossing it so far! A trophy already secured against your biggest domestic competitors and progress in Europe. Can't ask for much more!

Four wins out of four and two very big wins this month. Things were looking bad for us against Belenenses but we managed to get the win in the late stages of the game. We scored 6 against Rio Ave and hit the post and crossbar three times.

We are still on top in the league, 9 points in front of Benfica. In March they are coming to Dragao and if we beat them we will almost secure the title. The fight for the Europa League spots are very close between Feirense, Vitória, Braga and Madeira.

In the Champions League we took on Paris Saint-Germain in the first leg of the 1/8 final. It was important for us to not concede any away goal and we managed to do that. We were dominant in the game and had more shots (25-5) and more possession (58-42) but we didn't manage to score any goals.
I'm still happy with the result and we know that a draw with goals is enough for us to go through, but it will be very hard at Parc des Princes.

Our player of the month is Alex Telles. He has been good the whole season but has never got the award because of Aboubakar and Marega's good efficiency in front of goal. Telles has 1 goal and 13 assists this season and he is wanted by Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea and Paris. He just requested a new contract with a very big salary that we cannot afford and he is unlikely to stay in the team next season.
Thank you ScottT, Griffo and Justice for your kind words, it means a lot!
Telles is a quality player, you are going to have trouble keeping hold of players like him throughout your journey

We are so close to the title! After a perfect month with 4 wins and 0 goals conceded, we are 12 points clear at the top. We struggled on Madeira but got a late winner thanks to Aboubakar. In the derby against Benfica we got a good start with an early goal and that's how it ended.

As mentioned before we are 12 points clear at the top and with 8 games left to play we should not lose this. We have already secured European football for next season and there is a big gap between the three big clubs and the rest in the league. Only two teams gets a place in the Champions League so there is still much to play for.

We traveled with a 0-0 draw to Paris knowing that if we scored one goal Paris would need to double that. However we had it very tough in France and PSG created a lot of chances despite Neymar being injured and not able to play. We had a few close chances through Brahimi and Telles, but we couldn't score and instead we conceded in the late stages of the game.
Paris outplayed us in this game like we did to them in the first, and it was tough to concede a goal so late because we didn't have enough time to get one back. We were so close but PSG deserved to go through and we will try our luck again next season.

In the first of two semifinal games in the Portuguese Cup we went to Lisbon to face Sporting away. We lost to them earlier in the season and all we wanted were a result that would make the job easier for us in the return leg.
It was a close game but we were very efficient and managed to score 3 goals away from home. Sporting will need a miracle to turn this around and beat us at Dragao.
In the other semifinal Benfica took on Famalicao from the second division and they won 2-0 at home. That means we are likely to see one more derby between Porto and Benfica this season.
Eder Militão our player of the month. He scored two penalties and had a big part in those four cleen sheets we kept in Liga NOS. Eder is one of our biggest talents at the moment but no bigger clubs have shown interest in him which is good for us.
Such a cruel way to be dumped out of the Champions League. However, you'll come back stronger I'm sure.
Wow, I’m a huge fan of your graphic talent and presentation man! Unlucky about the UCL especially coming so close to a giantkilling, but you will go again.

We were on our way to another perfect month when our winning streak of 12 games came to an end. We played Vitoria Setúbal away who had only three wins all season long. It was two days after the Portuguese Cup so I had to rest some players and everything went against us. Maxi Pereira got a red card just 7 minutes in and we conceded two goals. Marega missed a penalty but we still got one goal back, but that wasn't enough.
I'm not happy with the loss but we have won 25 games out of 30 this season and everyone is allowed to have a bad game.

We are now 9 points clear with 4 games left and hopefully we will secure the title in the next round.

We took on Sporting CP in the return leg of the semifinal. We had a 3-2 win with us from the first leg and finished them off without problems. We will now face Benfica in another final this season and this time it will be played at a neutral pitch. If we manage to win this game we will leave them with a trophyless season.

With some crucial goals in the league and cup, Aboubakar becomes our player of the month for the second time this season.

Thank you Jack and ScottT for your kind comments.
Some great results besides the loss to Setúbal! A great entrance into the final of the cup and another superb month for Aboubakar - especially against Tondela!
Well on top in the league, dominant!

We finished the season off perfectly with four wins and only one goal conceded. We secured the title away at Marítimo in a game that one point was enough for us.
In the last two home games we played two derbies, the first against our city rivals Boavista, and the second against Sporting who were the first team to beat us this season.

We won the league by a clear 11-point margin. It was a lot easier than expected and as ealier mentioned, the away win against Benfica turned the season around for both us and them.
It's good that the five best teams finished at the top 5 positions because it makes our chances in Europe better and Portuguese football can progress a lot faster.

In the cup final we had to face Benfica once again, but this time at a neutral stadium in Lisbon. As in the previous three games against them, we were the better team and got the win easier than expected. It was a terrible season for them as they lost against us in the league, league cup and Portuguese cup. They didn't manage to score a single goal on Casillas in four games.
Vincent Aboubakar had another brilliant month and he won his third POTM-award for the season.
What an incredible season and the perfect way to cap it off, with a 5-0 win over Sporting as well as a cup title win! Unbelievable defensive record, too - that's one position not requiring any improvement next season ;)
This is very pleasing on the eye it must be mentioned once again. Good first season there as well, looking forward to see who you add to the team to help towards CL progression.
Not a bad way to end the season. ;) Congratulations mate!
