#40377 Godman : Champions League Draw –

Juventus – FC Bayern Munich
AC Milan – Porto
VfB Stuttgart – Man City
Real Madrid – Olympique Lyonnais
Marseille – Barcelona
Borussia Dortmund – Man Utd
SL Benfica – Shakhtar Donetsk
Celtic – Chelsea

This is one of the strongest Champions League knockout rounds I have ever seen on FM. Good luck in the run in.
#40236 Espen7 : I would also go for Felipe anderson, pure class. But it seems like you already have a lot for cm. Maybe you should let the youth play?

Hear is Felipe Anderson, he signed for Barcelona in January 2012 and has only played 4 games for them scoring one goal. Is is currently on loan back in Brazil.

Having looked at him I don't think that he would improve my squad at all. Is actually looks similar to Anderson
#40175 Roarschach : What about an international watch? Wouldn't mind seeing how your young guns are competing at an international level.

Hear You Are -

Transfer News – I am pleased to announce that I have signed Marc-André ter Stegen from Borussia Mönchengladbach for £8.5 million. The transfer will be completed on the 09.06.14.
League Game – West Brom H – 26.12.13

4-2-3-1
Anders Lindegaard, Kyle Walker, Nemanja Vidić, Jonny Evans, Fábio, Paul Pogba, Anderson, Ashley Young, Mateo Kovačić, Danny Welbeck, Wayne Rooney
Subs Used – Robbie Brady, Federico Macheda, Mario Götze

Decided to rest the starting 11 that took part in the FIFA Club World Championship Final and it did not matter as United ran out 4-0 winners again in the league. Young, Rooney and two from Welbeck scored the goals. However Götze (who was just returning to fitness after an injury) injured is knee.
Injury News – Götze strained is Knee ligaments and will be out for 6 weeks.
League Game – Tottenham H – 26.12.13

4-2-3-1
David De Gea, Rafael, Phil Jones, Jonny Evans, Fábio, Paul Pogba, Darren Fletcher, Nani, Eden Hazard, Danny Welbeck, Javier Hernández
Subs used – Chris Smalling, Anderson, Wayne Rooney

Another 4-0 victory in the league and United’s 5th in a row and 8th clean sheet in a row. Jones, hazard and two from Hernández were the scorers.
League Game – Everton A – 30.12.13

4-2-3-1
David De Gea, Kyle Walker, Phil Jones, Jonny Evans, Fábio, Paul Pogba, Darren Fletcher, Nani, Eden Hazard, Wayne Rooney, Javier Hernández
Subs used – Jordi Alba, Ashley Young, Tom Cleverley

United winning run came to a sharp end as Everton managed a 2-1 win. After a good start in which Tim Howard made great saves form Hazard and Hernández United were caught on the break and Séamus Coleman scored. After that Coleman set up Everton’s 2nd just before half time. So I made three changes and they worked as Cleverley played the ball to Alba who cross found Young who then crossed to Hernández and he scored. United kept attacking looking for the equalizer but could not score a second.

Loan Watch – Start of 2014 so I looked to see how my loan players were getting on -

I am pleased that my players are getting good game time but I would like Deulofeo to play more.
League Game – Bolton A – 01.01.14

Made a couple of changes to the starting line-up as I was not happy on how a couple of players played.

4-2-3-1
David De Gea, Chris Smalling, Phil Jones, Jonny Evans, Jordi Alba, Tom Cleverley, Darren Fletcher, Ashley Young, Eden Hazard, Wayne Rooney, Javier Hernández
Subs Used – Nani, Danny Welbeck, Fábio

A frustrating 0-0 as both sides struggled to create clear-cut chances.
FA Cup 3rd Round – Stoke A – 05.01.14

4-2-3-1
Anders Lindegaard, Kyle Walker, Nemanja Vidić, Phil Jones, Jordi Alba, Anderon, Darren Fletcher, Nani, Mateo Kovačić, Tom Cleverley, Wayne Rooney
Subs Used – Robbie Brady, Javier Hernández, Ashley Young

Another frustrating draw, this time it ended 1-1 with Cleverley scoring. So a reply on the horizon.
Injury News – Nani injured in training and will be out for 2 weeks.
Injury News – Jordi Alba is ill and will be out for 2 weeks.
Transfer News - Rudge has returned from his loan at AFC Wimbeldon where he played 19 games and assisted in two goals.
