League Game – West Ham A – 08.02.14

4-4-2
David De Gea, Rafael, Phil Jones, Nemanja Vidić, Jordi Alba, Eden Hazard, Mario Götze, Paul Pogba, Nani, Federico Macheda, Javier Hernández
Subs Used – Kyle Walker, Tom Cleverley, Jonny Evans

A good 1-3 victory against West Ham. Hazard and Nani both struck before 15 minutes to give United the lead then West Ham pulled one back in the 16th minute. However in the 32nd minute Hernández struck to seal the 3 points.

I am very pleased on how these two are developing -

Injury News – Rafael injured in training and will be out for 4 weeks.
Injury News - Sam Johnstone injured in training and will be out for 5 weeks.
League Game – Chelsea A – 12.02.14

4-5-1
David De Gea, Chris Smalling, Phil Jones, Nemanja Vidić, Fábio, Paul Pogba, Darren Fletcher, Anderson, Eden Hazard, Mario Götze, Wayne Rooney
Subs Used – Jonny Evans, Tom Cleverley, Javier Hernández

A frustrating 0-0 draw, however De Gea was on top form.
Good work mate. Pogba is looking awesome!!

League Game – Fulham A – 15.02.14

4-4-2
David De Gea, Chris Smalling, Phil Jones, Nemanja Vidić, Fábio, Ashley Young, Tom Cleverley, Magnus Wolff Eikrem, Nani, Javier Hernández, Wayne Rooney
Subs Used – Anderson, Federico Macheda, Mateo Kovačić

Another entertaining game against Fulham as the match finished 2-4 in United favor with all 4 of United goals coming from the goal assassin Hernández.
Injury News – Nani injured in training and will be out for 6 weeks.
Champions League 1st Knockout Round First Leg – Borussia Dortmund A – 19.02.14

4-2-3-1
David De Gea, Chris Smalling, Phil Jones, Jonny Evans, Jordi Alba, Tom Cleverley, Darren Fletcher, Ashley Young, Eden Hazard, Mario Götze, Javier Hernández
Subs Used - Fábio, Paul Pogba, Wayne Rooney

A very bad result as United lost 3-1 away from home. Dortmund were 3-0 ahead at half time and all three goals were scored on the counter by Robert Lewandowski (who scored twice) and one by Lucas Barrios. So I made 3 changes at half time and one of my subs (Pogba) scored a header that gives me a slim chance at Old Trafford.
FA Cup 5th Round – Man City H – 22.02.14

4-2-3-1
David De Gea, Kyle Walker, Phil Jones, Nemanja Vidić, Fábio, Paul Pogba, Darren Fletcher, Ashley Young, Eden Hazard, Mario Götze, Javier Hernández
Subs Used – Tom Cleverely, Wayne Rooney, Magnus Wolff Eikrem

A very good 2-1 victory to knock City out. Went ahead early after a brilliant pass by Götze found Hernández who crossed it to Hazard who blasted it into the top corner early on. Hernández then doubled the lead after a great finish. Yaya Touré then got one back for City in the 68th minute but my defence held strong for the win plus De Gea put in a great performance.
League Game – Reading A – 26.02.14

Decided to rest a couple of players as my next game is against Liverpool in the League Cup Final and then following that I have Liverpool again in the League.

4-2-3-1
David De Gea, Kyle Walker, Chris Smalling, Jonny Evans, Jordi Alba, Anderson, Magnus Wolff Eikrem, Ashley Young, Tom Cleverley, Robbie Brady, Danny Welbeck
Subs Used - Federico Macheda, Mateo Kovačić, Jack Barmby.

A disappointing 1-1 draw and I was unhappy on how my team played. The only bright note was a well-taken goal by Welbeck.
League Cup Final – Liverpool – Wembley – 02.03.14

United 4-2-3-1
David De Gea, Chris Smalling, Phil Jones, Nemanja Vidić, Fábio, Paul Pogba, Darren Fletcher, Mario Götze, Eden Hazard, Wayne Rooney, Javier Hernández
Subs - Anders Lindegaard, Jonny Evans, Mateo Kovačić, Ashley Young (replaced Rooney on 88 minutes), Tom Cleverely (replaced Hazard on 88 minutes), Anderson (replaced Pogba on 88 minutes), Danny Welbeck

Liverpool 4-4-2
Pepe Reina, Sébastien Corchia, Christopher Samba, Daniel Agger, José Enrique, Bryan Ruiz, Steven Gerrard, Marvin Martin, Andriy Yarmolenko, Andy Carroll, Luis Suárez
Subs – Ross Turnbull, Daniel Sturridge, Stewart Downing (replaced Yarmolenko on 90 minutes), Martin Kelly, Dirk Kuyt, Jordan Henderson (replaced Gerrard on 78 minutes), Mehdi Benatia

An even match but United ran out victors with a 2-1 victory. The 1st half was even but Liverpool were denied claims of a penalty when Yarmolenko was brought down in the box. In the 2nd half things started getting interesting then Hazard scored with a well-struck shot that beat Reina in the 72nd minute. With Liverpool pressing for a goal United caught them on the break that resulted in Hernández scoring. Liverpool then scored with the last touch of the game as Samba scored a header from a corner. Overall I was please on how my team performed but they could have played better.

My third trophy of the season (UEFA Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup and now the League Cup) up next Liverpool in the League.

This is my Pogba hasn't turned out as good but then he is not a regular starter in my team :)
League Game – Liverpool A – 08.03.14

4-2-3-1
David De Gea, Chris Smalling, Phil Jones, Nemanja Vidić, Fábio, Paul Pogba, Darren Fletcher, Mario Götze, Eden Hazard, Wayne Rooney, Javier Hernández
Subs Used – Ashley Young, Tom Cleverley, Danny Welbeck

Lost 1-0 as Andriy Yarmolenko scored for Liverpool. I was not very pleased as my team struggled to create any real chances.
