International Match - Friendly - Croatia A – 13.08.14

My first match and it was so surprised with the lack of depth available to me. On paper Portugal have a good 1 to 11 but after that I am struggling to find any real players to support them. Due to the fact that I wanted to win I decided to use my 4-5-1tactic.

4-5-1
Eduardo, João Pereira, Pepe, Bruno Alves, Fábio Coentrão, Raul Meireles, Miguel Veloso, João Moutinho, Nani, Danny, Cristiano Ronaldo
Subs Used - Manuel Fernandes, Fernando, André Santos, Rolando, Rabiola

The game started well when Danny crossed the ball and Cristiano Ronaldo put the ball away. Cristiano Ronaldo then scored a powerful long-range effort to make 0-2. Cristiano Ronaldo was then on hand again before half time to complete his hat trick, the match finished 1-3. I was very pleased on how my team played and delighted with the start to my International career.
League Game – Man City A – 17.08.14

My first league game of the season and I have decided to use the same line up as I used in the Community Shield.

4-2-3-1
David De Gea, Rafael, Phil Jones, Nemanja Vidić, Fábio, Tom Cleverley, Paul Pogba, Eden Hazard, Mario Götze, Gareth Bale, Wayne Rooney
Subs Used – Jack Rodwell, Nani, Javier Hernández

What an opening game to the season as United battled to a deserved 2-3 victory. Pogba gave United the lead in the 15th minute when his shot took a deflection and went in. Bale then scored his first goal for United with a curling shot on 30 minutes. Man City left back Gaël Clichy then was sent off just before half time. After half time City started the better of the two teams and Sergio Agüero pulled one back. Jones then committed a foul in the box and Jonny Heitinga had his penalty saved by De Gea who then saved the rebound by Agüero but could not stop Stevan Jovetić following that attempt up and equalized. However in the 73rd minute my star midfielder Cleverely stepped up and scored a lovely goal from outside the area to get all 3 points, though the result did come at a cost as both Cleverley and Bale were injured towards the end of the match.
Injury News – Bale out for 3 months with a broken ankle.
Injury News – Cleverely out for 3 weeks with a twisted ankle.
Injury News – Rooney injured in training and will be out for 2 weeks with a thigh strain.
Injury News – Lindegaard injured in training and will be out for 4 weeks with a sports hernia.
League Game – Arsenal H – 24.08.14

4-2-3-1
David De Gea, Rafael, Phil Jones, Nemanja Vidić, Fábio, Anderson, Paul Pogba, Nani, Mario Götze, Nani, Javier Hernández
Subs Used – Chris Smalling, Darren Fletcher, Jordi Alba

A very good 5-0 win against a good Arsenal team. Hernández was the star with three goals and one each from Götze and Jones (from an Anderson corner) sealed another three points. Special praise for Nani and Götze who created two goals each and had blinders. However the result did come at a cost as Rafael, Fábio and Vidić picked up injuries.
Dude your team is suffering from way too much injuries, get some physios!
Injury News – Vidić out for 3 weeks with a groin strain.
Injury News – Rafael out for 2 weeks with a thigh strain.
Injury News - Fábio is fine and will be available for my next game.
