Southampton Unlucky Not To Get Result

Southampton were not able to defeat Swansea at St Mary's in the F.A Cup replay after the scores finished 2-1 to the Swans. Danny Graham got Swansea's first with a header and then doubled his and Swansea's tally from the penalty spot after Dan Harding fouled the striker. Craig Dawson gave Southampton a lifeline with a header after an Adam Lallana corner but it wasn't enough to beat the Welsh side as they face West Ham in the next round of the F.A Cup.

Reading Promoted Despite Loss

Reading have now joined Southampton in the Premier League next season despite losing to the league leaders 1-0 at St Mary's Stadium. Southampton were the favourites going in to the match and showed why when Iago Falque scored the opener and what proved to be the only goal in a somewhat disappointing match, given all the hype leading up to it.
