montoya is quality currently have him at arsenal not lost a game when he is in the side

A rather embarrassing pre-season.

My transfers for the August transfer window. There may be one or two more youngsters coming in.

Robbie Cotton

This guy will be going straight into my U18s and Reserves. Looks like a good prospect for the future. Anyway I saw he refused to sign a contract extension with Blackburn and so I moved to sign him on a free. Hyped up as the next Paul Scholes or the next Scott Parker.

Martin Montoya

He joined us on a Bosman transfer from Barcelona and will be second choice right back this season, taking the No. 17 shirt.

Felipe Anderson

Felipe Anderson has joined us permanently after spending a season on loan with us last season and will retain his No. 24 shirt.

Ben Howard

Ben Howard has joined us from boyhood club Swansea City and slots into the U18s and Reserves.

Carlos Fierro

"The next Chicharito" joins us on loan with a view to a permanent deal next season.
REDS DRAW AT THE LIBERTY

Liverpool were held to a 0-0 draw with Swansea at the Liberty Stadium in their first league game of the season. Martin Montoya and Carlos Fierro made their league debuts for Liverpool, and Montoya made it a debut to remember by claiming the man of the match award. Both teams committed reckless fouls against each other but no one managed to find the net. The ref denied what could have proven to be a match winner when he rejected Craig Bellamy's cry for a penalty when the Liverpool forward was brought down inside the box.
Doni has rejected REAL MADRID's contract offer as he feels the wages they are offering him are "unacceptable". In other transfer news I have had an offer accepted for promising 19-year-old Ukrainian keeper Maxym Koval, however he is demanding to be in the first team at just 19 years old and since we already have Reina in goal and probably will for at least another three to four years, I had no choice but to walk away from talks.
Will be interesting to see how the youngsters turn out, great story man
Thank you bro
Raul De Tomas from Real Madrid/CAstilla would be the next Torres mate!! I can advice some spanish players 3 seasons in if you would like?

Good story...
Would like that mate, thanks :)

Yaya Sanogo has joined up with Liverpool for 20 million. With all these strikers coming in, Nelson Oliveira will probably be relegated to the reserves or serve as back-up. I won't deny that he will be a good striker in the future but currently there are a lot of strikers before him that are better including Sanogo and Fierro. I won't let him go though, unless Oliveira himself asks to leave.

Yaya Sanogo
Liverpool has been drawn with Italy's Inter Milan, Spain's Atletico Madrid, and Croatia's GNK Dinamo for the Champions' League group stages.
Martin Skrtel has been offered to various clubs and apparently there are a lot of clubs interested in him and he is in demand. However only Napoli and Roma have submitted bids for him, but both are loan bids. I am looking for a permanent transfer, not a loan deal, so I rejected both. The summer transfer window has now passed and so it seems Skrtel will stay with us for another season, or until January at least.

Holy nuggets...

Steven Gerrard scored a goal and won man of the match in England's 4-0 win over Montenegro... but a day after that he got injured while training with the England squad, and won't make an appearance for Liverpool for two months. This is a big blow as Stevie G is a superb player, but it will at least give the other members of the Liverpool midfield some first team chances, especially Jordan Henderson who hasn't been playing much.

Liverpool have won against Man City in their first cup match of the season, with former Liverpool target Dede committing a foul in the box to give away a penalty. Dirk Kuyt's smart penalty cancelled out an early opener from Sergio Aguero. In extra time, Luis Suarez struck for Liverpool in the 100th minute and Liverpool clung on for 20 minutes to win 2-1.

After Manchester City we get Chelsea in the next round of our League Cup campaign... This is insane...
