I ultimately want to dominate the league within a few seasons and overtake Sir Alex Ferguson (This could take a while)

So I am going to be starting out as Tottenham Hotspur I have never managed them before on FM12 but I have a good knowledge of their team and it's players/staff so I feel I will do well there. As we all know their midfield is excellent so I will be looking to try and gain control of games through my tactics with them. I know I will defo need to bolster the defence as the likes of King and Gallas are getting on and King is an injury waiting to happen. I'm happy with the strikers and will hopefully look to sign Adebayor on a permanent deal depending on how he plays for me throughout the season. The keeper situation also worries me slightly as Friedel is 68 and Gomes is let's face it rubbish I think Friedel will do for this season but I will be scouting throughout the year for a replacement.
I'm new to this and just wanted to do my story so I do apologise that I won't be adding screenshots etc as well basically I don't know how to? So any onfo on that will be much appreciated. I will give you as much info as possible and try and update this as and when I can.
I have asked the borad so far to improve the training facilities , Youth facilities and to build a new stadium I was quite surprised that all 3 requests were accepted the new stadium won't be built however until June 2014 but will be a 49,865 stadium with undersoil heating so I am happy with that now it's time to bring in some staff I always use for other clubs and have a look at my squad

Tottenham reserves (A) - Won 2-1
Leyton Orient (A) - Won 3-1
Cruz Azul (A) - Lost 4-1
San Jose (A) - Lost 3-2
SLB (H) - Lost 3-2
MK Dons (A) - Won 4-0
Dortmund (H) - Lost 2-1
Zaragoza (A) - Lost 1-0

It may seem like I had a poor pre season however I did a lot of squad rotation throughout all these games giving the reserves and youth players a good run out I'm not worried about these results as friendlies are basically just to get your squad fit and get them some match practice before the season kicks off and I have done that so I'm confident I will hit the ground running

Neven Subotic (Dortmund) £12,000,000
Aly Cissokho (Lyon) £12,000,000

Total spending £24,000,000

Gomes (Sunderland) £4,000,000
Dos Santos (Newcastle loan) Loan fee £1,300,000
David Bentley - Released
Ben Alnwick (Scunthorpe loan)

Total received £5,300,000

PL - Norwich City (A) Won 4-0 (Van Der Vaart x2 , Lennon , Adebayor)

EC - FC Nordsjaelland (H) Won 3-0 (Modric , Van Der Vaart , Adebayor)

PL - Wigan Athletic (H) Won 3-0 (Adebayor , Cissokho , Subutic)

EC - FC Nordsjaelland (A) Won 1-0 (Lennon)

PL - QPR (A) Drew 1-1 (Adebayor)

Not a bad start 7 points from a possible 9 sees me sat in 2nd place just 2 points behind Aston Villa also we managed to score 12 goals and concede only 1 in our opening 5 competitive games so overall I'm pleased we've hit the ground running so far

August also saw the draws for the Europa league group stages and the League Cup 3rd round

In the Europa League group stages I was drawn in Group E alongside Rubin , PAOK and Slask

In the League Cup 3rd round I was drawn against Manchester City at home
Good story so far fella. I was spurs in a network game recently and found they are a good but challenging team to be. Keep Friedel for one season he does the job. I also sold gomes to sunderland. Adebayor is immense up top but you will find wages a stumbling block. Good signings so far. Look out for some good freebies. I got Babacar on a free :)
Thanks Ivan Campo I am going to stick with this game now until the new FM13 comes out and hopefully turn Tottenham into a world beating side

PL - Bolton (H)- Won 2-0 (Bale , Lennon)

EC - Rubin (A)- Won 2-0 (Adebayor , Subotic)

PL - Liverpoool (A)- Lost 2-1 (Adebayor)

LC - Manchester City (H)- Won 1-0 (Lennon)

PL - Aston Villa (H)- Won 4-1 (Modric , Bale , Adebayor , Kranjcar)

EC - PAOK (H)- Won 4-0 (Adebayor x2 , Bale , Kranjcar)

An ok month I guess I'm still in 2nd place in the league 1 point behind Manchester United and my 2 wins in the Europa league see me 1st in the group and in a good position to qualify. I was happy with my league cup 3rd round win against Manchester City as I firmly believe it is a competition we can win in our first year together. I decided to give Lennon and Van Der Vaart 2 weeks rest as they had burned themselves out a bit in the opening games but they will be back before my big game against table toppers Manchester United next month.

1: Take screenshot (f10 on some, alt + f9 on the other? something like that)
2: Upload picture on (Documents, Sports interactive, FM12, Screenshots)
3: Copy paste the link
4: Put on story, put at the end
5: You got a picture :p
Thanks Atreidas but my laptop won't seem to print screen for some strange reason :-(

PL - Wolves (H) - Won 3-1 (Adebayor , Huddlestone , Modric?

PL - Manchester United (H) - Lost 1-0

EC - Slask (H) - Won 3-1 (Bale , Lennon , Van Der Vaart)

LC 4th round - QPR (A) - Won 3-1 (Defoe x2 , Van Der Vaart_

PL - Newcastle (A) - Won 3-0 (Dawson , Huddlestone , Modric)

A nice easy win over Wolves saw me briefly go top going into the game with Manchester United. Adebayor had an early goal ruled offside and then we never really got going I was dissapointed to see us have 19 shots but only manage 4 on target. Nani popped up with Uniteds inevitable 87th minute winner and knocked the wind right out of us. An easy 3-1 win over Slask sees us still sat in 1st position in Group E and my win over QPR sees us into the League cup Quarter finals where we will face Manchester United at Old Trafford. I ended the month with a 3-0 away win at Newcastle leaving us in 5th place 4 points short of league leaders United but with a game in hand. Unfortunately I also lost Adebayor in that game to an injurt estimated to last between 4-5 weeks so step up Jermaine Defoe.

EC - Slask (A) - Won 2-0 (Van Der Vaart , Nalepa O.G)

PL - Stoke City (H) - Won 3-0 (Van Der Vaart , Defoe x2)

PL - Swansea (A) - Lost 2-0

PL - Fulham (A) - Won 3-0 (Defoe , Saha , Schwarzer O.G)

PL - Blackburn (H) - Won 1-0 (Subotic)

EC - Rubin (H) - Draw 0-0

November started well with a 2-0 away win over Slask keeping me firmly in 1st place in Group E. I then had an easy 3-0 win at home to Stoke and just as things were looking up we were rocked by a very poor display and a 2-0 loss to Swansea. Back to back wins against Fulham and Blackburn saw me end November in 2nd place behind 1st placed Swansea who have started very well with 9 wins , 2 draws and 2 losses surely they can't maintain that can they? A 0-0 with Rubin doesn't really matter as I've qualified and topped the group meaning I can now rest some of my key players for the remaining fixture against PAOK. Also December will see the return of Adebayor so hopefully now I can push on.

PL - Everton (A) - Lost 1-0

PL - West Brom (H) - Won 2-1 (Van Der Vaart , Defoe)

EC - PAOK (A) - Draw 1-1 (Van Der Vaart)

PL - Arsenal (A) - Draw 1-1 (Van Der Vaart)

LC QF - Manchester United (A) - Won 1-0 (Modric)

PL - Chelsea (H) - Won 2-0 (Adebayor x2)

PL - Sunderland (H) - Won 1-0 (Kranjcar)

December started with the draw for the FA cup 3rd round which will see me take my team to Brighton. A 1-0 loss away to Everton is making me request a team meeting we're losing far to many games against teams we really should be beating and with Arsenal and Chelsea coming up I don't want morale dropping beforehand. The team meeting didn't go as well as I had hoped with 16 players reacting badly when all I said was things haven't been going our way recently but we have the squad capable of dealing with it and changing our fortunes oh well bring on West Brom. We came from behind to beat West Brom after Long put West Brom ahead we hit back immediately with a Van Der Vaart penalty before Defoe won the game for us in the 68th minute Van Der Vaart also missed 2 other penalties in that game. A 1-1 draw with PAOK sees me stay 1st and win the group bring on the knockout stages. In the frist knockout round I drew an away game with Stade Rennais and if I get past them I will be playing either Mloda Boleslav or Udinese. A draw in my 1st derby game will do me especially as it was an away fixture. An easy 1-0 win over a weakened United team in a game we dominated from start to finish sees us into the League Cup semi finals where we will face West Ham. A huge 2-0 win over Chelsea sends me top of the league on goal difference and a huge relief for me and my team. A 1-0 win at home to Sunderland saw me end the year in 2nd place joint top with Manchester United.
Midway season summary

Overall I'm happy with my squad we're joint top of the premier league , into the League cup semi finals and into the knockout stages of the Europa league I am going to keep my season objectives the same and not alter anything I have decided not to renew the contracts of Ledley King , Carlo Cudicini , Ryan Nelson and Louis Saha so hopefully that will help to reduce my wage bill for the start of the next season enabling me to have more money to spend to strengthen my squad.

Star performers so far

Brad Friedel - 18 appearances conceded 11 goals ave rating 6.93
Neven Subotic - 16 appearances 2 goals ave rating 7.26
Gareth Bale - 18 appearances 2 goalsd 6 assists ave rating 7.24
Luka Modric - 18 appearances 3 goals 4 assists ave rating 7.17
Rafael Van Der Vaart - 15 appearances 5 goals 5 assists ave rating 7.11
Emmanuel Adebayor - 14 appearances 8 goals 3 assists ave rating 7.34

Also Manchester United and Real Madrid are enquiring about Luka Modric but I will be doing everything I can to keep hold of him the same can be said for Gareth Bale who is a targtet for Manchester City and Rafael Van Der Vaart who is wanted by Inter Milan

I will be starting the second half of my season and story later on tonight where January kicks off with a home Premier League tie against Norwich City so stay tuned
