Making Tottenham Hotspur more than just a top 4 team

I ultimately want to dominate the league within a few seasons and overtake Sir Alex Ferguson (This could take a while)

This time I will be doing it proper and not setting my expectations to high to early

A report on the squad and transfers will follow
Wow with the sale of Luke Modric and my expectations I have £120 million pounds to spend with Tottenham I don't see why I can't be challenging Manchester City for the title if I spend this money wisely.
second time lucky hopefully
I have never had the chance to back to my first club either...hopefully you can learn from what went wrong last time. Good luck...be interesting to see who you bring in with that whopping budget!
Transfers

Players in

Scott Carson GK - £5 million (Bursaspor)
Adam Johnson MRL/AMR - £4.5 million (Manchester City)
Giuseppe Rossi ST/AMC - £35 million (Villareal)
Danny Wilson CB - £14 million (Liverpool)
Dedryk Boyata CB - £13.5 million (Swansea)
Jack Rodwell DM/CM - £18 million (Everton)
Edin Dzeko ST - Loan fee £1 million (Manchester City)
Mario Balotelli ST / AM/RL - £15 million (Manchester City)
Michael Carrick DM/MC £7 million (Manchester United)

Players out

Luka Modric £60 milion (Manchester City)
Jermaine Defoe - £1.2 million (Swansea City)
Dorus De Vries - £100,000 (ADO Den Haag)
Michael Dawson - £2.3 million (Swansea)
Goran Popov - £5 million (Getafe)
Steven Pienaar - Free (West Brom)
Carlos Sanchez - £2.5 million (Braga)
Abdoul Camara - £6 million (Blackburn)

I was absolutely shocked when Manchester City met my valuation of Modric but I felt the offer was to good to refuse considering he was 28 years old. Since I was last in charge of Tottenham Van Der Vaart has been sold to Inter for a mere £5 million and Bale was sold to Manchester City for £38 million it is now my job to replace these 3 key players. I am very happy with the signings I have made and I see no reason why I can't put up a challenge this year.

Now I know there has been a lot of signings but I thought they were all necessary especially after I have sold the dead wood.

Cardiff (A) - Won 5-0

So pre season is out of the way and I have a fully fit squad ready for the new season. I am excited to be back at Tottenham and I am interested to see how my new signings gel together. I am also looking forward at getting back into Champions league football after last time finishing rock bottom of my group I am keen to find out who I will get in my group this year providing I qualify I drew Werder Bremen. August will be a big test for me as my first two games are against Arsenal and Manchester United. Also we have recently moved into our new stadium that I asked for when I was first in charge of Tottenham it's a 49,230 seater stadium that can be upgraded in the future.

Bring on the 2014/15 season !

August

PL - Arsenal (A) - Won 2-1 (Balotelli x2)

CL Q - Werder Bremen (H) - Won 3-0 (Lennon x2 , A.Johnson)

PL - Manchester United (H) - Draw 1-1 (Balotelli)

CL Q - Werder Bremen (A) - Lost 1-0

PL - Swansea (H) - Won 1-0 (Balotelli)

A good start to the season with a 2-1 over rivals Arsenal followed by a 3-0 win over Werder Bremen in the 1st leg of my Champions league qualifier. A home draw against Manchester United after an early Balotelli goal is fair as Manchester United dominated for most of the 2nd half. A 1-0 loss in the 2nd leg against Werder Bremen but it doesn't matter as we're into the Group stages and it gave me an opportunity to rest a few players. The month ends well with a 1-0 win over Swansea and Mario Balotelli has been on fire this month. The draw for the League cup 3rd round was also made and we drew Chesterfield at home.
