End of Season Special

I understand if this story isn't as exciting as it is unique but I have a special surprise for the readers. At the end of each season I will make a post that is in itself very unique. I will not tell yous what the post will be about but as far as I'm aware, it will be the first of it's kind. If I'm lucky I will have the end of season special up by the end of the week.

July update, and possibly August update will be up tonight. Stay tuned.
And feel free to make a guess at what the surprise will be, there may be two.
Well done FM Rookie, you are going very well in a lesser known league. How are your finances holding?

I don't have any thoughts on what the end of season special could be, so I'll have to come back and find out!

Finances were starting to decline but Europa League matches has brought them up. Will talk about it at the end of the season.
When it comes to these lesser known leagues, the problems are the same:
1. Players being too expensive.
2. Players asking for crazy wages.
3. Finances going crazy because of these crazy wages.
4. Bigger teams taking away your beast of a player.

I know you already said "at the end of the season", but I am already waiting for that finance report update, because I'm sure you'll do well in the league.

Also, I am waiting to see how far you can go in Europe, unless you have already been knocked out and I didn't notice. :D

Or what sometimes happens, you have to offer your beast of a player to the bigger teams because of the crazy wage demands!

Thank Heavens for Europe!! I've been sacked from a couple of posts for not getting the wages under control. Am looking forward to your financial update.

July Update

Unbeaten this month thanks to the performances of Antti Hynynen and Miika Ilo, my right and left wingers respectively.

04.07.2011. 2-2 Draw vs TPS (H) League
TPS deserved the draw.

10.07.2011 3-1 Win vs IFK Mariehamn (A) League
Hynynen scored twice to get us the victory.

14.07.2011. 1-1 Draw vs Rabotnicki (A) Europa League 2nd Rnd Qual 1st Leg
Miika Ilo got us that vital away goal.

18.07.2011. 2-1 Win vs FF Jaro (H) League
Close game but our wingers scored vital goals in our title chase.

21.07.2011. 3-0 Win (4-1 Agg.) vs Rabotnicki (H) Europa League 2nd Rnd Qual 2nd Leg
3 goals in the first 13 mins secured us a memorable victory.

24.07.2011. 2-0 Win vs RoPS (H) League
Both scorers got injured late on and out for 4 weeks each.

28.07.2011 3-1 Win vs Mlada Boleslav (H) Europa League 3rd Rnd Qual 1st Leg
A great victory for KuPSi as they brush aside the much-favoured Czechs.

A descent win for us.

New season expectations: finish in a Europa League spot in the league. (2nd-4th)

August update up tomorrow, stay tuned and remember to comment. :)
Got through to Europa League 4th Rnd Qual (Playoffs) and got drawn against PAOK from Greece. Will we get through? I hope so.

KuPS Qualify for Europa League

I don't know how we did it but we qualified for the Europa League, while remaining on top of the table. With the squad being so small and matches coming thick and fast, we had some major injury problems.
However, the determination of the squad brought us through.

Already have a large part of September done so I didn't scroll down.

04.08.2011. 2-0 Win (5-1 Agg) vs Mlada Boleslav (A) Europa League 3rd Rnd Qual 2nd Leg
Even with youth players thrown in to the mix we manage a victory that was very much unexpected. This result put us through to the next round against PAOK.

07.08.2011. 1-0 Win vs Honka (H) League
A crucial win in the title race as Honka are knocked out of the running.

14.08.2011. 0-1 Loss vs MYPA (H) League
Was resting players for the match against PAOK so a loss wasn't a surprise.

18.08.2011. 2-0 Win vs PAOK (H) Europa League 4th Rnd Qual 1st Leg
What a win! Ilja Venalainen picked u a knock earl on but still manages to hit the back of thee net twice, and in style. PAOK did too little too late and couldn't score. We gladly denied them an away goal.

21.08.2011. 1-1 Draw vs JJK (A) League
Aleksi Paananen finally came out of his shell and showed his class by producing an outstanding performance. He scored his first senior league goal and ran the game. Great things are expected of him.

25.08.2011. 1-0 Win (3-0 Agg) vs PAOK (A) Europa League 4th Rnd Qual 2nd Leg
I couldn't believe it. We won the tie and deserved it. Jonas Emet scored a lovely goal to top off our perfomance. This result meant that we were throguh to the group stages and received a healthy £1.2M for our troubles, thank you very much UEFA.

28.08.2011. 3-1 Win vs TPS (A) LeagueA great result to end the month. Aleksi Paananen was the star man again and deseved MOTM.

Our Europa League Group

I am rellishing the prospect of playing in White Hart Lane.
It seems that Finnish clubs are doing well this year, Honka and FC Inter are also in the Europa League Groups Stages. This will surely enhance the league's reputation.

Chris James replaced after falling out

Midfielder James wanted more playing time even though he didn't deserve it so I told him that and he asked for his contract to be terminated whic I did. 18 yr old American Erik Opsahl replaces him. He is a former Reading youth player and has a PA of 3.5 Stars, according to my Ass. Man.

Erik Opsahl (best picture I could find)

The September update will be posted later today, the Finnish Cup Final included. Stay tuned and please comment.

I know a reply is overdue and I aologise but I have been distracted, we currently have a balance of £1.2M and hopefuly that will increase with Europa League games. We are in the group stage, as you can see from my last post. I hope you are enjoying this story and thanks for reading.

KuPS celebrate the Double!

This has been a great season so far and winning another trophy proves that. We are still at the top of the league too. The Europa League results show that we got in to the deep side of the pool before we can learn how to swim without armbands though... Nine matches played with the majority of the squad injured/in need of rest was tough. I have a lot of filling to do at the end of the season.

08.09.2011. 1-2 Loss vs HJK (A) League
This was a game that we were always expected to lose so I wasn't too disappointed.

11.09.2011. 2-0 Win vs FF Jaro (A) LeagueA good win in a tough run of games.

13.09.2011. 1-1 Draw vs IFK Mariehamn (H) League
We were missing a lot of players for this game.

15.09.2011. 1-3 Loss vs Dinamo Bucharest (H) Europa League Grp IWe were completely outclassed in this game.

18.09.2011. 3-1 Win vs RoPS (A) League
A great result away from home with Muinonen on form.

21.09.2011. 1-2 Loss vs HJK (H) League
Was resting a lot of players for the final.

24.09.2011. 2-1 Win vs VPS (N) Finnish Cup Final
Down 1-0 at H/T, a stern team talk motivated KuPS to get back in the game and they did with Ilo scoring the winner.

26.09.2011. 2-1 Win vs FC Inter (A) League
A brilliant result to claim to put us high above the rest in the league.

29.09.2011. 1-5 Loss vs AEK Athens (A) Europa League Grp I
AEK, lead by former Barca and Chelsea striker Eidur Gudjohnnsen, destroyed us in Greece. This result shows the difference in class.

KuPS anounce intake of new players

Its that time of the year, the youth trialists are in. I offered a number of them contracts but here are the two most exciting:

Jukka Karppinen - M/AMC

Antti Ollikainen - ST/AMR

Stay tuned for the October report.
Good season picking up the double, keep it up cant wait to see the end of season surprise
#61918 barton6435 : Good season picking up the double, keep it up cant wait to see the end of season surprise
Thanks. I'm working on the surprise already and it should be up by the end of the domestic season. (European season will drag on too long)

KuPS claim Domestic Treble!

A great first season at the helm of KuPS, winning three trophies.

02.10.2011. 2-2 Draw vs Haka (A) League
A game that we should have won but a point in this match was vital.

09.10.2011. 2-1 Win vs FC Inter (H) League
With a large part of the squad away on international duty, the task to win the title was left to Eetu Muinonen who scored the title winning goal!

13.10.2011. 2-2 Draw vs VPS (H) League
Descent game, descent result.

16.10.2011. 0-2 Loss vs Honka (A) League
Rested a lot of players.

20.10.2011. 1-4 Loss vs Tottenham (A) Europa League Grp I
Adebayor, enough said.

End of Season Review

I know that technically it is not the end of the season but I feel that the last three Europa League matches are more showpiece matches than competitive, I have no chance of winning. So I will start with the results.
