TOWNEND PICKS UP SECOND AWARD
Leeds United manager Josh Townend has won the Manager of the Month award for the 2nd consecutive month. He won the award for another 100% record over the course of the month. He now has an award to defend over the Christmas period.
DECEMBER 2012
Portsmouth 1-2 Leeds
Bristol City 0-3 Leeds
Leeds 1-0 Blackpool
Leeds 3-1 West Ham
Crysal Palace 0-1 Leeds
Leeds 2-1 Sheffield Wednesday
Leeds 5-1 Coventry
Yet another pleasing month for Townend's Leeds as they extend their lead at the top to a whopping 14 points. Particularly pleasing were the results against West Ham (3-1) and Coventry (5-1).
TOWNEND DEFENDS AWARD FOR THIRD MONTH RUNNING
A man that is now becoming a clear candidate for the Manager of the Year Award- yes, you guessed it, Josh Townend- has defended his Manager of the Month award in December, an award that he is starting to make his own. He guided to his team to 7 wins in 7, including a 3-1 win against West Ham and a stagggering 5-1 win against Coventry shortly before New Year's Eve.
Hopefully the future is all white
I love this story mate! Amazing to see how you've turned it round in a few weeks ready for your first proper season at Leeds! Hope you do well even though I hate Leeds haha!
Cheers guys. Stay tuned in for more!
CAPTAIN BAGS DECEMBER AWARD
Leeds United captain Jonny Howson has picked up the Npower Championship Player of the Month Award for January. The Leeds-born centre-midfielder has had a very merry Christmas period that has seen him lead by example with 2 goals in 7 games and an average rating of 7.56.
(the story's a bit late, but as you can imagine, I have been busy trying to keep up the run of form)
JANUARY 2012
Leeds 1-0 Swansea
Wigan 0-2 Leeds (FA Cup 3rd round)
Peterborough 1-2 Leeds
Reading 0-3 Leeds
Leeds 4-0 Cardiff
Yet another pleasing month for Townend's Whites. The side got lucky with a few results, such as the Peterborough result in which 2 goals in the last 3 minutes secured a 2-1 win. However, this was balanced out with some very pleasing results such as the 3-0 away win at major promotion candidates Reading and 4-0 at home to bogey team Cardiff. Particularly pleasing however was the upset in the FA Cup where Leeds comfortably beat Wigan 2-0 away from home and as a result, have earned a 4th round tie at home to West Brom.
TOWNEND MAKES IT FOUR IN A ROW
Leeds manager Josh Townend has won Manager of the Month award for January, his fourth in a row. It follows yet another 100% record for his side, following a busy Christmas/New Year period as well as delightful victory away at Wigan in the FA Cup.
FEBRUARY 2012
Leeds 1-2 West Brom
Huddersfield 1-3 Leeds
Leeds 2-2 Derby
Brighton 0-0 Leeds
Leeds 0-0 Burnley
Leeds 3-1 Millwall
What's this?!?!?!? Leeds failing to win games? To be fair, the Yorkshire side still haven't lost yet, maintaining their season-long unbeaten run, but there have been some very concerning performances with Leeds finding themselves on the back foot and chasing the game for every game except Millwall. They've had to come from 2-0 down against both Derby and Burnley to level the scores in the last 15 minutes. To their credit however, The Whites still find themselves on 87 points at the top of the table, 25 points clear of 2nd placed West Ham.
MARCH 2012
Only doing the first half or so of March as there is a chance that we will be promoted in the second half so I will be doing a promotion race special. Here are the results so far:
Hull 3-0 Leeds
Sheffield United 0-2 Leeds
Leeds 1-3 Leicester
As you can see, the Whites have finally lost games. It was inevitable really, poor performances from the month before were a sign of things to come. Leeds definitely appear to be suffering a hangover from their flying form in the first half of the season. However, they still hold a dominant position at the top of the table and a win away at Nottingham Forest will see Leeds secure a spot in the top 6. Stay tuned for more...

GAFFER BUZZING AHEAD OF PROMOTION CLASH WITH BORO
Leeds boss Josh Townend admits he can't wait for his side's upcoming home clash with Middlesbrough. The game has been pushed back to 5:30pm for television cameras. If the Whites win, not only will they be automatically promoted, they will also win the league.
"I really can't wait"
"It reminds me of my playing days with Leeds when we had big games like this such as the one at Bournemouth which took us up to the First Division (now the Premier League) and the one which won us the First Division title against Sheffield United"
"The fans will be up for it, and I don't want to see a single seat empty on Saturday"
I'm about to play the match against Middlesbrough. I will post updates live as they happen
2' Kevin Thomson of Middlesbrough has hobbled off the pitch for treatment after a nasty clash with Leeds' Prince Buaben
