Sorry about the slow speed of updates in the last few days guys, Steam and FM have been playing up recently. I hope this delay won't put you off reading it
Due to a slight data loss, I've had to replay the Millwall match from the end of December. You can go back and re-read it if you so desire.
United To Sign Cirigliano
Manchester United have confirmed they will sign River Plate midfielder Ezequiel Cirigliano on a free transfer when his contract with the Argentine club expires in the summer. The 21-year-old will join on a three year contract.
The defensive midfielder is yet to play for Argentina at full international level, although has been capped 5 times for the under-20s. His move to United could be exactly the right thing to kick-start his international career. He is also eligible to play for Italy's national team as well as the Albicelestes. Cirigliano has made 79 appearances for River Plate in his time at the club, but will now be looking to make an impression in the red of Manchester United.
Cirigliano will be on £29.5k p/w for the Red Devils, although he is rumoured to have several bonuses included in his contract.
he turns into a beast great signing especially on a free great update as usual
Matthaus: "I Will Return"
Manchester United boss Lothar Matthaus has told journalists in a press conference ahead of his first match of 2014 that someday he hopes to return to former club Sporting Lisbon. The German left the club to join United in November, but enjoyed great success in Lisbon.
Matthaus said to journalists "obviously everyone knows how much I loved my time at Sporting, and I looked forward to every day and every match. I won every game and several trophies, and I reckon that endeared the fans to me. I don't think they'll have been extremely happy when I left and came to United, but the have to understand it was the right move for me to further my career. I hope the transfers I made in Lisbon will set the club onto better things, and I'll always be on their side. If I get the chance to go back and manage there again in the future I will jump at the opportunity, no word of a lie."
The German Matthaus spent over a year managing Sporting, and has always spoken of his love for the club. This is however the first time he has said publicly he wants to return to the club again.
