"It's great to see the players" - Raul

The new Tenerife manager Raul Gonzalez Blanco will be visited by his former team-mates and club, Real Madrid for the Copa del Rey Fourth Round. The new manager recently told his team that whatever result they get, he'll be proud of them. He also added," Cristiano Ronaldo is a great player, and during my last year I got to see Cristiano Ronaldo play. He's wonderful". Before the interview ended, Raul said," It will be an interesting tie, and if Real Madrid don't take us seriously, we might knock them off the Copa del Rey. It's a two-legged tie, so it will be tricky." Below, we provide you with a picture of Real Madrid legend and Tenerife Manager Raul Gonzalez during his successful time in the Madrid club.

Raul's first Big Game

C.D. Tenerife vs Real Madrid – Copa del Rey Fourth Round Leg 1 31.10.2012

C.D. Tenerife v Real Madrid - 31.10.2012

Cristiano Ronaldo is in for Real Madrid today, which will encourage Real Madrid fans, along with their team being slight favourites. If the strong Tenerife defence can control free-scoring striker Luka Modric for Real Madrid, they should stand a chance.

We're here at the Helio Rodriguez Lopes for the biggest game of the season so far for rookie manager, Raul Gonzalez Blanco. The rookie manager has taken Tenerife to 13 wins out of 13 so far, the team by Mourinho haven't taken any chances and has put up a great team. Both line-ups are below.

Here are the lineups for both teams:

C.D. Tenerife (4-2-3-1): Aragoneses, Moyano, Rodriguez, Tarantino, Llorente, Ros, Obodai, Suso, Nico, Crusat, Yeste.

Real Madrid (4-2-3-1): Casillas, Ramos, Pepe, Varane, Coentrao, Khedira, Essien, Callejon, Modric, Cristiano Ronaldo, Higuain.

Strong lineups for both teams here. This match could be tense.

Commentary from Quique Wolff

1': Tenerife get us underway here in the Copa del Rey match.

5': A dangerous attack here by Real Madrid, who are not giving Tenerife a break. Coentrao slides it to Ronaldo who jukes and shoots and its in! GOAL for Real Madrid 1-0.

14': Aragoneses passes the ball to Inigo Ros, who plays it to Crusat. Crusat runs the ball all the way from the left wing. He quickly passes it to Sarpong, who is tackled by Essien. Nice try for Tenerife.

20': After a bad play by Inigo Ros, Essien passes it to Higuain. Higuain is left alone with Modric. And yes it's a goal! MODRIC!

23': Corner kick for the Madrid based club. Modric sends the corner right into Higuain's head and it's a goal! 3-0 for Real Madrid!

45: Half Time here in the Helio Rodriguez Lopez stadium. It's been horrible for Tenerife and Raul, who must be making changes if he wants to change the score line

Looks like Raul will go big or go home, as Suso comes off and Guillem comes on. This substition will be interesting!

45': Real Madrid start the second half.

FT: Final time here at the Helio Rodriguez Lopez Stadium as Real Madrid hold a commanding lead against Tenerife at the Bernabeu.

C.D. Tenerife 0-3 Real Madrid – Copa del Rey Fourth Round Leg 1 31.10.2012

Raul's point of view

One of the things that hurts the most in such an early career is to lose. After winning thirteen straight games, we felt invincibles and we played the first-half horrible. The second half, we did change our tactics, moving into a counter move, rather than the attacking one. This proved to be a great change, as the second-half we didn't recieve ANY attacks from Real Madrid or any shots, which shows that we can stop a top team. At least if it was for 45 minutes. I guess that the next loss is the away one at the Santiago Bernabeu, but we played great in the second half.

Tenerife reveal that Obodai is injured

The new defensive midfielder, Anthony Obodai has injured himself in a training last week. The club's website confirmed what Raul said. Raul said," We meant to keep this secret, but we couldn't for the sake of Anthony. Plus, he was always in the stands and he was an ever-present player until his injury. When Raul was asked of how long will Obodai will be in the touchlines he replied," It's about 5-6 weeks. This will give Reveron and Medina a chance to prove themselves to the team." He also warned Obodai," If Anthony doesn't return to his form, he will be sold. This is happening to Chechu. Chechu was displaced by Suso and he hasn't rediscovered his form. We might even have to get into the loan or free market. Who knows."
Raul finalized the press conference by saying," This is a warning to Suso, who hasn't been playing well. Chechu will be given his chance and if he takes it.. you will be the player in the transfer list". This supossedly is a warning to all three players, after Suso and Chechu have yet to rediscover their form. Obodai in the other hand, was shot that warning after he broke his arm.

"It's great to be back at home" - Raul

The new Tenerife manager Raul Gonzalez Blanco will visit his former team-mates and club, Real Madrid for the Copa del Rey Fourth Round. The new manager recently told his team that whatever result they get, he'll be proud of them. He also added," We never underestimated Real Madrid and they never underestimated them. We can grab a draw or even a win if we play the last 45 minutes we played against them."When the Real Madrid legend was asked how the defeat tasted he quickly responded," It was a sour taste. I am a Real Madrid fan, but I need my team to win. The result also made us weaker, as we lost to Salamanca and drew to one of the worst teams of the league." Before the interview ended, Raul said," It will be an interesting tie, and if Real Madrid don't take us seriously, we might score a goal or two." Below, we provide you with a picture of Real Madrid legend and Tenerife Manager Raul Gonzalez during his successful time in the Madrid club.

Raul's return to Bernabeu

C.D. Tenerife vs Real Madrid – Copa del Rey Fourth Round Leg 1 31.10.2012

C.D. Tenerife v Real Madrid - 28.11.2012

Cristiano Ronaldo is in for Real Madrid today, which will encourage Real Madrid fans, along with their team being slight favourites. If the strong Tenerife defence can control free-scoring striker Cristiano Ronaldo for Real Madrid, they should stand a chance.

The interesting part is that Real Madrid legend Raul Gonzalez has returned to the Santiago Bernabeu. Not as a player or a fan in the stands, but as the manager of the opposing team. It will be interesting how the Real Madrid fans contribute to their manager, Jose Mourinho and their former player and legend, Raul.

We're here back here at the Santiago Bernabeu for the away and second leg game of the season so far for rookie manager, Raul Gonzalez Blanco. The rookie manager has taken Tenerife to 14 wins out of 17 so far, the team by Mourinho haven't taken any chances and has put up a great team. Both line-ups are below.

Here are the lineups for both teams:

C.D. Tenerife (4-2-3-1): Aragoneses, Moyano, Del Horno, Tarantino, Llorente, Medina, Ros, Suso, Nico, Crusat, Yeste.

Real Madrid (4-2-3-1): Casillas, Arbeloa, Ramos, Varane, Coentrao, Casemiro, Modric, Di Maria, Jese, Cristiano Ronaldo, Benzema.

Strong lineups for both teams here. This match could be tense.

Commentary from Quique Wolff

1': Tenerife kick start us the match here in the Santiago Bernabeu match.

3': Wow, this is beautiful. The home and away fans have reunited to give Raul a warm welcome. Aand yes, the Tenerife manager is tearing up after such a nice effort by both sides of the fans.

12': A dangerous attack here by Real Madrid, who are not giving Tenerife a break. Coentrao slides it to Di Maria who is brought down at the edge of the area. It looks like Di Maria will take the free-kick. GOAL! A fantastic effort from the Argentinian. GOAL for Real Madrid 1-0.

45: Half Time here at the Santiago Bernabeu. It's been a great half for Tenerife and Raul, who will be pleased after the score-line is a goal in favor to the opposing team.

45': Real Madrid start the second half.

66' A corner kick for the home side, as they would want to extend their lead by two. Coentrao takes the corner and it meets Benzema's head! Aragoneses saves it, but he spills it! Benzema shoots.. GOAL for Real Madrid 2-0

FT: Final time here at the Santiago Bernabeu as Real Madrid classify to the Fifth Round of the competition, as Tenerife crash out. The tie has ended in favor of Real Madrid resulting in 5-0.

C.D. Tenerife 0-2 Real Madrid – Copa del Rey Fourth Round Leg 2 31.11.2012

Raul's point of view

This was one of those matches that you came in and knew you were about to lose. That's how I felt about this match. Though, we did have one impressive attack, who was surpassed by a better Casillas save. Surprisingly, the match ended in a 2-0 advantage for Real Madrid, who will be pleased to have passed, but annoyed not to win by a bigger margin. For a club like Tenerife who are in the Spanish Third Division to let Madrid score two goals out of two opportunities, shows that Raul will be taking them to a better future. The highlight of this match was when the home and away fans reunited to give their coach and legend, a warm welcome.
