He certainly does look like Messi in that picture, but alas no, he's gone off to Manchester United.

Yes, Rickie is still here but unfortunately he's injured at the moment. I certainly didn't expect to find a job giving me £40m a week after I left Fulham!

A decent start, decent results considering Tranmere are in 6th place, but we could have beaten Peterbrough. Hopefully Rickie Lambert can come back from injury and we can grab some more goals.

Unblelievable Player Of The Month:
Adam Lallana has already gotten 2 assists, and supplied some beautiful crosses so far. I hope he can grab some goals and boost our play-off chances.

Unbelievable Goal Of The Month:
Jay Rodriguez against Tranmere, it wasn't the best of goals but it was there was only two to choose from. He broke free after a sublime pass by Lallana and slotted home.

Kamara believes Saints can go up

Southampton manager Chris Kamara has made a bold prediction in stating that he can take Saints up. Kamara joined Southampton with the club lying in 11th, after sacking Tony Mowbray who took them down from the Premier League last season. however Kamara does not necessarily think they will go up this year."We could go up this season, but it'll take a massive effort and I don't think we can do that from this position, but we can win the league next year and I firmly believe we will". Kamara's job will certainly be made easier by his reported £40m to spend on new players.

'Survival is the goal' says Lambert

Southampton striker Rickie Lambert has said that his side must now focus on avoiding relegation rather than reaching the play-offs. The Saints are lying in 15th after losing to 23rd placed Crystal Palace, their second consecutive defeat."I think we will have to focus on avoiding relegation now, I think we're too far from the rest of the pack to go up this year. Next year though, we can win the league for sure, it would be a massive shock if we didn't get the play-offs." Manager Chris Kamara says that Saints can go up, but he would also be surprised if they could do it this season
