Ben and Jeremy: You guys are just cruel! I had no intention of buying him, but after your comments I've looked into him more, and now he wants to get away, I don't know whether to. You cruel people messing with the heads of innocent managers.. :P
I can't help but think the money would be better spent elsewhere. You already have a top quality left back in Ansaldi. Surely there is other positions you need to strengthen more than there?
Gashead: Thank you! Someone with reasoning to cancel out the 'BUY HIM BUY HIM' comments. Finally, faith is restored in FM Scout! You have a valid argument, and both have helped me decide. The next update should show my decision though.
I know you already made your decision but I needed to put my thoughts :P
Gashead is right, money could be better spend.
Alex: interesting to see what you think, and always helps when making a decision, so thanks for commenting. ;)
Great signings mate, I would sign Didac if I were you :P

Pre-Season 2013

Pre-Season became quite big for the Russian side, with a lot of movements in the transfer windows, some big teams to play in friendlies, and a lot of competition for places now...

Results

Pre-Season was a pretty successful one. The 3-2 win against Hoffenheim was one I was very happy with. We had a lot more possession, and overall dominated the game. Dyadyun had a brilliant performance, and although he is leaving soon, with similar performances could help the team a lot. The victory against Anderlecht was brilliant, and I'm really pleased Fierro managed to get on the score sheet, as well as others. A win against PSG will great, and a draw and clean sheet against Milan is another result I'd happily take. Very pleased with the results overall.

Transfers

So the new signings have been announced, but these are there stats and profiles at the start of the season.

Departures:

Evgeny Cheremisin - Rubin-2 - Loan
Vitaly Kaleshin - Free Agent - Released
Alexandr Orekhov - Ural - £1 million
Oleg Kuzmin - Rostov - Free
Nelson Valdez - Villarreal - £3 million

Player of the Month

Only one player could win this this month. The star striker bagged over half the goals scored in pre-season, including a hattrick to win the match against Hoffenheim. It will be sad to see him leave soon, but the player of the month is Vladimir Dyadyun

nice signings :) what made you buy the 34year old striker?
Inquisition: Thanks, and actually quite a few things. He's my all time favourite player, becoming an obvious reason. I always scout him in games to see if he ever goes cheap, and when I saw his listed for like £200k I couldn't resist. I need backup to my strike force, but don't need them to be too good. Forlan fit perfectly into the criteria, so thought I would give him a go.
Good transfers there matey!
Good results and signings Devil :)
Beany and Blue: Thank you :)
Everyone seems to rant and rave about Destro. I hope he can get the goals for you and alongside the experienced Diego Forlan you should definitely hammer in the goals this coming season. Good luck with the season and the story of the month nomination :)
James: It's risky. I paid £11 million for a player simply because of my scouts and people on here recommending him. I feel I could have a good 4 attacking players to lead me to victory. Destro, Rondon, Forlan and Fierro could be a good combination...

(Good luck to you too for story of the month.)

Ferguson: "Strike Force Could Be The Difference"

Fan favourite, and current Manchester United boss Alex Ferguson, has compared to current Rubin Kazan to the likes of his 1999 and 2012 Squad. Sir Alex Ferguson has been known for his strong attacking forces who have led his team to glory.

After SAF recently ran away with the Premier League title, with the help of his attacking four: Wayne Rooney, Robin van Persie, Javier Hernandez and Danny Welbeck, he spoke to Kanchelskis about the importance of the attacking players, and told many newspapers:

Andrei has some excellent players, and made some brilliant signings. He has the powerful four, a combination which helped me and United multiple times. Salomon Rondon and Mattia Destro should be able to lead the club, becoming the main two to get glory. However, the key to every good attack is backup. And Kanchelskis has back-up good enough to play every team for the first team, in Diego Forlan and Carlos Fierro. If Andrei carries on how he is, I feel he can win everything with his team.

Sir Alex also went on to praise the signing of Diego Forlan for such a small fee. Although Forlan could not get going at United under the reign of Fergie, he had a lot of success which was noted by Ferguson.

Andrei has since thanked Sir Alex for his kind words, and said a possible match in the Champions League against Manchester United would be a dream come true...
