2013-04-23 20:57#94239 Devil. : James: It's risky. I paid £11 million for a player simply because of my scouts and people on here recommending him. I feel I could have a good 4 attacking players to lead me to victory. Destro, Rondon, Forlan and Fierro could be a good combination...

(Good luck to you too for story of the month.)
Quality strikeforce that :)

July 2013 Results

Although July is a short month, it is key in setting up the rest of the season. Picking up the points against the bigger teams is vital, and with no cup games yet, everyone is focusing on the league..

Rubin Kazan 1-0 Volga NN - RPL - 22.07.13

Rubin Starting XI – Ryzhikov, Cadu, Navas, Marcano, Ansaldi, Natkho, Ururu, Ryazantsev, Fierro, Destro, Portnyagin SUBS – Arlauskis, Tore, Orbaiz, Eremenko, M'Vila, Forlan, Rondon

Carlos Fierro (53)

Cristian Ansaldi (64)

Cesar Navas 8.3 (Rubin)

A game in which he dominated with possession, but just couldn't put all the chances away. A nice, simple start to the season, which can set a good boundary for us for the near future. Good to see no injuries yet, giving us a good chance in any cups coming up.

CSKA Moscow 2-2 Rubin Kazan - RPL - 27.07.13

Rubin Starting XI – Ryzhikov, Cadu, Navas, Marcano, Ansaldi, M'Vila, Ryazantsev, Ururu, Natkho, Dyadyun, Rondon SUBS – Arlauskis, Tore, Orbaiz, Eremenko, Forlan, Destro, Fierro

Salomon Rondon (1) Vladimir Dyadyun (21)

Yann M'Vila 8.7 (Rubin)

A game I didn't expect to win, with the team still bonding and getting used to playing with each other. A great start set us up nicely, but it was a shame to concede two goals in the last twenty minutes. Nevertheless, a point I will certainly take.

Player of the Month

The decision for player of the month was a tough one this time. With only two games to separate one player from the rest, one final decision could not be made. Instead, two players have been worthy of becoming the players of the month: Cesar Navas and Cristian Ansaldi.

Monthly Review

A short month, but a draw against a team like Moscow could become vital later on in the season. The first game wasn't great, but we picked up the three points and that's what matters most. The team have welcomed a lot of new players so it will take time to find who plays best where, and for the players to gel, so I wasn't expecting great games for now. The draw against CSKA Moscow was a great game, and the team were unlucky to concede the late goal. I'm sure it won't harm the players at all, and may even boost the chemistry. A good month and a good start to the season.

League Table

A good start to the season. Our goal difference isn't too good, but that can change easily overtime with my attacking force, and 4th is a good place to show we are up for it and in contention early, especially having played one of the best teams already.
Nice results, a draw away to CSKA Moscow is a good result and I'm sure this will be another season of glory for Kazan :D
Great start mate!! Believe me, I could sell Destro for at least 45 million!
Nice update. A good start to the league, well done.
Good start to the league mate, unlucky against CSKA, but I can see nothing but wins in the future! :)
neal09: Thanks. I think with the players still settling in, a draw is a result I could happily take.

PaukerJ: Aha, I was told about him, and then someone linked me to your story. The success solidified my choice to get him. He better be good. ;)

Gashead: Thanks mate.

The Madridista: Cheers Madridista. Well be great to get all wins next month to get things going, and looking at the teams I think it could be possible.

Digne: "Two More Years"

Lille youngster Lucas Digne has ended the transfer saga by saying he will stay at Lille for two more years. Digne, 20, is currently on loan at Anderlecht, but had been rumoured at disliking his time at Lille and wanting to leave. Rumours soon became true as Lucas announced he wasn't sure whether he would stay at Lille, or in France.

Lille confirmed they recieved many bids up to the price of £8.5 million. However, with interest from teams including Manchester United, Rubin Kazan and Paris Saint-Germain, Digne decided a stay at Lille for just a bit longer could be the best move.

Andrei Kanchelskis openly showed his interest in the player. Kanchelskis told of how admiration, and wanted to do everything possible. It is suggested, but not confirmed, that Andrei made multiple bids up to the value of £8 million to try and capture the player, but no with deal occuring. Kanchelskis is expected to keep an eye on the player as a possible replacement for Cristian Ansaldi at a later date.

Once his loan spell at Anderlecht is finished, he will have two seasons to prove he is worthy of playing regular football, or may look for a move elsewhere.

Lucas Digne is currently on just £1,600 p/week, and may also look for a higher wage in the future.
Keep at it Devil, liking it so far =)

Kanchelskis: "Ansaldi The Great"

After Rubin Kazan left-back Cristian Ansaldi played his 125th game for the club, manager Andrei Kanchelskis became the first to praise him for his efforts and work for the team.

In the years Ansaldi has been at Rubin, the defence have been totally different. Cristian has been there when others haven't, and has become a dominant force through all of Russia, and soon Europe. I would like to praise him for his hard work, commitment and skills.

The awards and success he has had do not show what is he like as a player. For me, he is one of the best defenders in the world, and working with him was a reason I wanted to join the club.

The boss then went on to also praise ex-manager Kurban Berdyev for his signing of Cristian Ansaldi, saying that although Berdyev had a lot of success and positive moments in his long career with him, buying Ansaldi for just £3.3 million in 2008 was one of his best decisions ever,

Ansaldi is currently valued at £11.75 million and is on a £31,500 p/week deal lasting until the end of 2014, but Andrei is sure he can get Cristian to stay for many more legends and become a club legend.

Russian Super Cup Final 2013

Rubin Kazan 4-1 Spartak Moscow - Super Cup - 13.07.13

Rubin Starting XI – Arlauskis, Cadu, Navas, Marcano, Ansaldi, M'Vila, Tore, Natkho, Fierro, Rondon, Dyadyun SUBS – Ryzhikov, Ururu, Orbaiz, Eremenko, Eremenko, Portnyagin, Ryazantsev

Vladimir Dyaydun (2, 22, 55) Carlos Fierro (13)

Ivan Marcano (83)

Vladimir Dyadyun 9.6 (Rubin)

A brilliant game! I can't believe we won by such a big margin! Dyadyun fully deserved everything he got today, and Fierro certainly deserved his goal. It was great to not only retain the Russian Super Cup for a second time, but also to win it in style! This will set us up perfectly for any other cups, and has shown the big teams we are ready to come for them all. I now can't wait to play Spartak in the league, will be a very interesting set of games.

Player of the Match

Although stated more, Vladimir Dyadyun deserves a bit more than one line. Vladimir got us the win, and with an amazing hattrick, destroyed the Spartak defence. His first goal was finished beautifully, from eighteen yards out, with the second coming soon after in a similar fashion. The header leading to the hattrick was unstoppable, a great way to secure the player of the match award. Fully deserved.

I'm really happy with the overall game, getting the goals, but also having a lot of players do really well, get high ratings, and dominating the game within the match stats. A brilliant overall performance for Rubin Kazan, and another trophy to add to the growing collection.
Great win m8 :) It announces a great season!

Felgueiras: "I Want More Game Time"

http://pt.uefa.com/MultimediaFiles/Photo/competitions/Comp_Matches/01/87/38/27/1873827_w2.jpg

Rubin Kazan goalkeeper Mario Felgueiras today announced he is upset with the amount of game time he is getting.

Mario signed for Kazan in 2012-2013 for £1.1 million, but has only played 3 times in competitive games. Felguerias is a definite favourite of boss Kanchelskis, but the recent excellent form of Ryzhikov has kept him out of goal.

Felgueiras joined from CFR Cluj and has expressed his unhappiness at the lack of football lately, and said that without more game time, he may look for a way out of the club, and possibly out of Russia, and back to Portugal.

Kanchelskis told Mario he will give him game time, but he has to earn his place once given the opportunity.
I want more time...he sounds like Fergie :D
Arvind: Ouch! That hurt. :P He may get it, he may not. That's the difference. Howard Webb always gives it. ;)
