DECEMBER MONTHLY REPORT: STILL UNBEATEN IN THE LEAGUE!
by fm13oviedo.com

Welcome back my dear fans… and Merry Christmas to everybody! The just passed December month has been great as we managed to remain unbeaten in Segunda B1 after 18 matches, obtaining the 100% of wins! A really wonderful result! I am so proud of my team!

This month we obtained 4 wins against Real Madrid “C”, Coruxo, Zamora and Ourense, dragged as usual by our two champions, Manu Busto and Diego Cervero, who scored 3 and 4 goals, respectively.

Our two strikers ended the year being the first and the second top scorers of the league, Diego having scored the stunning amount of 24 goals, while Manu scored 16 times.

Manu Busto (31), second top scorer of Segunda B1.

The fantastic end of the year has not been ruined by the end of our Copa del Rey dream. It was expected to go out against Malaga that was too strong for a Segunda B team as we are, but to be in the last 16 of such an important competition has been an honor for me and for all Real Oviedo. What still remains great is that Malaga is the only team that managed to defeat us till now, a really stunning result which I am proud of!

Next month is going to give the start to the winter transfer window. As we are satisfied of the squad and money lacks, I don’t think there will be many movements in Real Oviedo. Of course, we will try to do our best and we will try to take advantage of possible opportunities.

Now, it is time to wish a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year to all of you from all Real Oviedo staff!
Stefano Gagliardo.

Breaking news: Jovetic signs for A.C. MILAN
(12/26/2012 – 17:30)

The news of the interests of the A.C. Milan manager, Andrea Gagliardo, on the Fiorentina striker Stevan Jovetic (23) has come out some days ago, but now we can officially say that the player from Montenegro has signed his 4 years contract with the Rossoneri!

Stevan Jovetic (23), new A.C. Milan player.

His first words coming out from A.C. Milan HQ in via Turati have been “I am amazed! I could not believe I would have been an A.C. Milan player till some minutes ago, but now I am and I want to help this team to become the most important one in Italy and Europe!”

WINTER TRANSFER MARKET SUMMARY
by acmilanfmnews.com

The winter transfer market had his end yesterday and A.C. Milan manager, Andrea Gagliardo, goes on showing his emphasis on young talents for his team.
After the great Christmas gift that he gave to his supporters signing Stevan Jovetic from Fiorentina, the team has been joined the 1st of January by two youth coming from Africa: the 19 yo Tunisian (but with French passport) wing Tarek Trabelsi arrived from Club Africain in a 1M€ deal, while the Ivorian center back Ahmed Traoré (19) joined A.C. Milan in a 750k€ deal with ASEC. The two players came to via Turati to sign their contracts and visited the Milanello training center, getting impressed by that. Then, they left to join their national teams for Africa’s Cup.

Meanwhile, Gagliardo started a deal with Portuguese leading team, Porto, for his striker Robinho. The talented Brazilian did not satisfy the manager despite his 5 goals in 15 caps, and the 6th he left for the great amount of 21M€, that rebalance A.C. Milan’s finance. Robinho’s words leaving Milano were: “I was surprised when Mr. Gagliardo asked me to leave the team! I love A.C. Milan and it is very sad for me to leave it, but the coach told me that no space will have been reserved to me in the second part of the year and I need to go away to play and go on showing my skills!”.

Robinho (28) saying goodbye to the supporters when leaving via Turati.

Gagliardo did not end his transfer market! On the contrary, the 10th of January he obtains the sign on the contract of the young Spanish talent Adrian (19), that will join the team next year when his contract will expire. The same day, two youths of the U20 squad left the team on loan till the end of the season: Dario Marcuzzi (20) joined third division team Carpi, while Donatello Martinelli (19) joined Serie B team Ascoli.

The very next day, another player signed for the Rossoneri: the Cameroonian center back Nicolas Nkoulou (22) put his sign on a 2.7M€ contract, with Marseille receiving a said amount of 14M€ to be paid in 4 years. Also Nkoulou will join the team after Africa’s cup and his international experience will hopefully help A.C. Milan in the second part of the season. Interviewed by Sky Sport journalist, and Gagliardo’s friend, Gianluca di Marzio, Andrea said: “Nicolas is already a great player, and he will improve his skills in A.C. Milan. I am sure that his international experience is going to help us in the second part of the season. […] His signing is going to be the last of the winter transfer market. I am satisfied of my squad. We will only manage to sell on loan some young players, nothing more.”.

As Gagliardo said, the last days of the market were devoted to loans, and two youths leave the team till the end of the year: the just arrived Ahmed Traoré (19) joined the Serie A team Parma, while the young son of A.C. Milan past striker Maurizio Ganz, Simone Andrea (19), joined third division team Albinoleffe.

Thanks Alex! :) The most important win of the season against the most hated team! :P

JANUARY MONTHLY REPORT: ROAD TO COPPA ITALIA’S FINAL
by acmilanfmnews.com

January is a month of tranfers, but also a month of matches. And it has been a very good month for A.C. Milan! The team consolidated the first place in the league and, even more important, reaches the Coppa Italia final, that will take place in May and will make the Rossoneri face another derby against Inter!

Going in order of happenings, A.C. Milan started the month with the home Serie A match against Cagliari, that Rossoneri easily won 2-0 thanks to the goal by Raul Albiol and Mbaye Niang.
Some days after, A.C. Milan moved to Parma to face the home team in the Coppa Italia quarterfinals. The two teams gave rise to a tough match that needed the overtime to give A.C. Milan the access to the semifinals thanks to a 3-2 won who had Giampaolo Pazzini as protagonist with a double.
Giampaolo Pazzini (28) after scoring his second goal against Parma.

Next, the Rossoneri moved to Sicily to face Catania in another tough match, solved after 72 mins by an unfortunate own goal of Catania’s goalie, Mariano Andujar.
Three days after, A.C. Milan had to catch up the 13th match day against Napoli to end up the first half of the Serie A season. What should have been a very tight match resulted to be a triumph for A.C. Milan’s players, who won 4-1 despite the red card given to Nigel de Jong. To be noticed the first goal of Stevan Jovetic with A.C. Milan that opened the fantastic match of the Rossoneri after 33 mins.
Then, Giampaolo Pazzini and Antonio Nocerino signed the away 2-0 win against Chievo Verona in the first match of the second leg of the Serie A season, followed by the home 3-1 one against Sampdoria one week later, when all the three Rossoneri’s strikers (Jovetic-El Shaarawy-Balotelli) scored.
In the middle of the two matches and three days after the one against Sampdoria came the semifinals of Coppa Italia, when A.C. Milan faced Roma and gained the access to the final thanks to two draws, the 1-1 one in Olimpico with Maxime Gonalons goal and the 0-0 one in San Siro. A very excited Gagliardo thanked all the supporters and his team after the match: “The guys have been wonderful in defending the results of the first match, but nothing could have happened without the support of our fantastic fans! I am very proud of having reached the final of the Coppa Italia. It will be another derby and we are ready to face it!”

A.C. Milan ended the Serie A month in the 1st position, with a 9 points lead over Juventus, that gives the team a good margin for the difficult month that is coming, when Champions League is going to start again (with A.C. Milan that is going to face Lille in the Last 16 round). In the list presented by Gagliardo, both Fraser Forster and the 3 newcomers (Jovetic, Trabelsi and Nkoulou) figure out, with the goalie that could finally go on the pitch after having watched his mates in the first matches from the stand because of the matches played with his previous team, Celtic.

THE WINTER TRANSFER MARKET
by fm13oviedo.com

The last days of January has passed, as well as the intense transfer window for Real Oviedo. Our manager, Stefano Gagliardo, has focused on the future of the team buying young talents and letting some players that he considered useless leave his squad.

THE NEWCOMERS.
The large amount of 5 players joined Real Oviedo during this month, to whom we may add the Italian wing Stefano Guberti (27) and the young German goalie Heinz Urban (18). Both already joined the team for free in October, but the Italian was not eligible for Segunda B1 till the opening of the registration window in January 1st, having however debuted and scored in Copa del Rey, while due to his youth the German goalie was eligible for the league and has already debuted with the first squad.
At the beginning of the transfer window, 4 African youth joined Real Oviedo: the center back Dzikamai André Sadomba (17) from Zimbabwe, that is said to be ready for playing with the first team when he will come back from the Africa’s Cup, the Cameroonian center midfielder Michel Serge (16), the Guinean wing Almamy Diallo (16) and the striker Issa Yameogo (15) from Burkina Faso. The four have been purchased from their previous teams for a global amount of 150k€ and, except from Almamy Diallo, have EU passports.
Then, in the first days Gagliardo also adds for free the center back Wellington (23) to his squad, with the Brazilian guy signing a 96k€ fee contract for the Spaniards.
Finally, Gagliardo worked for the next season making two players sign a contract for the next season, at the expiring of their actual ones: the Nigerian (with Italian passport) wing Wilfred Osuji (22) and the Italian left back Francesco Renzetti (25), both coming from the Italian Serie B team Padova.
The two players will be joined also by the young Spanish center back José Maria (18), who decided not to sign a professional contract with Elche to play with Stefano Gagliardo: “I was evaluating a professional contract proposed me by Elche’s board when Mr. Gagliardo called me, speaking me about the project he had in mind and the role that young players like me could have in it. I did not think a second about that, and I ran to Oviedo to sign the contract! I am looking forward to begin my adventure with Real Oviedo!” are the words that the player said after leaving Real Oviedo’s HQ. Real Oviedo is owing Elche a 60k€ reimbursement.
Finally, Gagliardo makes the Chinese craque Xu Wei (16), actually playing for Guangzhou, sign a professional contract with Real Oviedo that will take start in January 2015, with Real Oviedo owing his actual team a 55k€ reimbursement.

THE LEAVINGS.
The intense purchasing session of Mr. Gagliardo has gone in parallel with a likewise selling session, with Gagliardo rebalancing the team’s finances with a good 700k€ income: the Spanish center midfielder Hector Simon (28) left Real Oviedo to join Las Palmas in a 125k€ deal; the Argentinian center back Martin Mantovani (28) left for Italy to join Serie B team Livorno in a 230k€ deal; the Spanish center back David Fernandez (27) left for Austria joining Admira Wacker for 255k€; finally, the young Spanish right back Chapi (19) joined Amorebieta for free, but with a 40% clause on his possible next transfer. Gagliardo commented on these transfers saying: “I am very said because some very nice guys, not only good players, left the team. But they would have not had enough space to show off their skills in the second part of the season, so I decided for their sakes to let them leave the team. I wish them good luck for their futures in their new teams.”

JANUARY MONTHLY REPORT: THE FIRST HALF-STOP IN THE LEAGUE
by fm13oviedo.com

Welcome back my dear Real Oviedo’s fans to our usual summing up of the month that has just passed. It has been an intense month, where the four league matches have been spaced out with the transfer market session. I exploit this article to express my satisfaction with what we managed to do in this month. We reinforced the team for the end of the season and we also start programming the next one. I also want to thank the players who left the team: they are first of all great men before than great players, for me it has been a pleasure to work with them and I wish to all of them good luck for their careers.

Now, let me pass to what happened on the pitch during this month. Despite its very beginning, the starting match of the month against Sporting “B”, the derby of the Asturia, has given us a nice victory thanks to the stunning performance of Pepe Diaz, who scored a fantastic double that tip over the score after the goal of Sporting that we took after 6 minutes. Unfortunately for him and for all of us, two days after the match a muscle pull took him out for three weeks. This match put an end to the first leg of the league, that we finished in the 1st place with 12 points more than Tenerife after winning all the matches we played. What a stunning result!

The second leg started at Nuevo Carlos Tartiere against Fuenlabrada and we obtained a 2-0 win thanks to the umpteenth stunning performance of our captain, Diego Cervero, who scored another double in this fantastic season. This match has also been the debut of the young Issa Yameogo with our team, thanks to Diaz’s injury, a good one for him who causes the penalty that Diego scored for our second goal.
In the following match we faced the first half-stop of the season, when we could not manage to win on Marino’s pitch, finding out the first draw of the season and the first match in which we could not score even a goal.
The next match gave start to a sequence of three away matches and it was the most difficult one on paper, as we went to Nuevo Cerro del Espino to face Atletico Madrid “B”, the 4th team in the league. On the contrary, we dominated the match ending up with a stunning 3-1 win signed by a double of Manu Busto and by the first goal of Yameogo: what a wonderful day for him! I had been really pleased when I saw him running up to me to thank me!
We ended the month consolidating our 1st place in the league with a 12 points lead over Tenerife, with 16 matches on the go.

See you next moths guys! And do not stop supporting our wonderful team!
Stefano Gagliardo.

FEBRUARY MONTHLY REPORT: EVEN ONE POINT MORE…
by fm13oviedo.com

Winter is ending and spring is approaching. Today the training session has taken place in a nice sunny day with a mild temperature. Not more than 10 minutes ago Diego (Cervero) passed here to greet me before leaving the stadium after the training session. And now, before coming back home where my wife is waiting for me, I give you the usual summing up of what happened this month.

Exactly one month ago we were departing for Arona, where the very next day we had to face Club Deportivo Marino. Everyone on the newspapers seems to be confident on our victory against a team that was not passing through a good period, but I knew that things are rarely so easily predictable in football. And indeed, 10 mins before the end of the match their striker, Balduino, leveled the match taking advantage of a snooze of my defense. I was enraged and I start shouting at my players to attack their defense, I wanted the victory! As often happened this season, the one who accepted my prayers was Diego, who 2 mins before the 90’ head the ball in the net and 6 mins after, few seconds before the final whistle, decided to put the definitive end to the match with his hat-trick goal.

Pepe Diaz (32) during the match against C.D. Marino.

The series of away matches finished next Sunday when we went to San Sebastian de los Reyes to face Sanse. Another tough match, with 7 yellow cards, solved after 81 mins by Manu Herrera, fantastic in exploiting the corner of Manu Busto.
Finally, we come back to play home and we celebrated it knocking Leganés out with an outstanding first half, when we scored 4 goals, 2 of which realized by our stunning captain. What a season for him!

A moment of the match between Real Oviedo and Leganés.

Unfortunately, celebrations often do not last too much and the following week we run up against Avilés, that was navigating in the middle of the table and scared us scoring at the beginning of the second half. The second goal in two matches by Lucas Mendes saved us from the first defeat 10 mins before the end of the match.
Nevertheless, we ended the month putting one point more between Tenerife and us, 13 points with 12 matches on the go. Not bad!
Now we have to stay focused to make our dreams come true, to fight for the promotion in Liga Adelante! I can see every day the fatigue take over my players’ legs, but I also see how excited they are and I can swear that they will fight to the last minute of the league for this wonderful result!

Sincerely yours,
Stefano Gagliardo.

FEBRUARY MONTHLY REPORT: THE FIRST DEFEAT CAUSES PAIN
by acmilanfmnews.com

February is the month in which Champions League come back and Mr. Gagliardo knows what can be the difficulty of approaching such a situation. And the team starts very well! At Olimpico in Rome, against Lazio, Pazzini opens the match with a header after 16 minutes. Then Rossoneri take advantage of the red card given to Konko after 35 mins and deserve an impressive 4-1 win at the final whistle in spite of the large turnover made by Gagliardo.

Four days after the team faces Lille in the Grand Stade Lille Metropole for the first round of the Champions League last 16 round. Ten minutes after the starting of the second half, Stevan Jovetic scores with a nice 20 meters shot, but Milan starts to fall asleep after the goals and in five minutes, between 63’ and 68’, a doubtful penalty scored by Kalou and the goal by Nolan Roux overturn the score and let Lille finish the match with a surprising 2-1 win. A wrathful Gagliardo at the end of the match comments “It is impossible to lose in such a way! The referee whistles an invented penalty, ok, but we quit playing after we scored the 1-0 goal. I am really angry, but I am determined to win the second round and to go to the quarterfinals!”. Antonio Nocerino, captain in the match, comments the words of the coach saying “I agree with our manager! It is not possible to lose such kind of matches! But we will win in the second round and head up to the next round!”

Adriano Galliani, CEO of A.C. Milan, leaves the stand disappointed.

Still shocked by the bad result in Lille, Milan cannot manage to win the following home match against Bologna, running up the second 0-0 against the Felsinei in the season and losing for two weeks Mattia De Sciglio for an injury occurred at the end of the first half.

After a week rest, Rossoneri get a 1-0 win against Torino, thanks to the early goal scored by Giampaolo Pazzini, but run up another draw three days after against Fiorentina at Artemio Franchi, where the goal of the ex, Stevan Jovetic, 3 mins before the final whistle saves Milan from the first defeat in the league.

Despite some half-stops, Milan ends the months keeping the same distance from Juventus, 9 points with 13 matches on the go.

Now, minds are focused on the next league match day when Palermo will visit San Siro, but more than that to the second round against Lille that will take place on the 5th of February, when A.C. Milan is likely going to have its revenge on the French team!
Loving the layout!!! Keep up the good work. Defeat means nothing, you will still have success.
Milan heads up to quarterfinals! – 05/03/2013
After the yesterday qualification of Juventus to Champions League quarterfinals, also A.C. Milan enters the fab 4 of Europe tipping over the 1-2 defeat against Lille in the first match of the last 16 round. Gagliardo’s men deserved a 3-1 win tonight in San Siro stadium, dominating the French team for all the match.

A.C. Milan scored the first goal after just 4 minutes with a nice run into the center of Lille’s defense made up by Kevin-Prince Boateng and ended by the Ghanaian midfielder with a precise shot in the goal. Rossoneri went on attacking Lille that scared them 20 mins after Boateng’s goal: in a fray in A.C. Milan’s area following a free kick by Kalou from the right side, Marvin Martin found the way to shot the ball into the net, leveling the score. After ten minutes in which A.C. Milan players seemed to be shocked by Lille’s goal, Gagliardo’s shouts wake them up and they started to besiege Lille in its own area. The last 5 minutes of the first half were fatal to the French! At the 42’ minute a bad error of the defense let the ball arrive to Stevan Jovetic in the earth of Lille’s area: the Montenegrin striker was rational and waits for Stephan El Shaarawy arrival, with the Italian wing that shot the ball to the first post and scored the 2-1. Two minutes later, Raul Albiol headed into the net the perfect cross by El Shaarawy, scoring the 3-1 that held up till the end of the match. The second half had seen Milan control the match till the final whistle came, when A.C. Milan fans bestowed their players a deserved celebration.

A.C. Milan players celebrating their win with their suporters.

After the match, Gagliardo commented to the mikes of Sky Sport: “We overturned the bad performance of the first match. I was confident that we could do that and I am happy that the guys did not deny me. We should have closed the match in the second half in such a way not to be in any danger in the second half, but anyway we controlled the match, and I am happy we managed to reach the quarterfinals.”. Also Stevan Jovetic was really happy for the qualification: “When I accepted the flattery of Mr. Gagliardo signing my contract for A.C. Milan, I knew that this team could go far not only in Serie A, but also in Champions League. We were really disappointed after the first match three weeks ago, and we have put all our anger today on the pitch deserving the qualification to the next round! And we are confident that we can go also further!”

Now Milan has to wait one week to know who will be its opponent in the quarterfinals. For sure, Bayern Monaco and Manchester City are two of the teams to be avoided, but also Dortmund would not be an easy opponent. Talking of that, Gagliardo said: “When you arrive at the quarterfinals, you know that all the possible opponents are great teams. So whatever comes will be the same for us, we are ready to fight for the semifinals.”
2013-04-30 18:18#96603 Toon : Loving the layout!!! Keep up the good work. Defeat means nothing, you will still have success.
Thanks mate! :) Well, I managed to make the loss less painful winning the second round! ;)

MARCH MONTHLY REPORT: PLAYOFFS LOCKED DOWN
by fm13oviedo.com

When March started, all the minds of Real Oviedo’s fans were focused on the 23rd, when the match against Tenerife would have taken place at Nuevo Carlos Tartiere. But our minds had to focus on other three matches before that, starting from the one in Alcalà of the 3rd. The away game had been a success for us, with an important 4-1 win thanks to a goal by Pepe Diaz, the usual double of the captain, Diego Cervero, and the fourth goal scored by the young Issa Yameogo, who, I am happy to see, is growing up very fast.

Six days after, we had to receive Salamanca at Nuevo Carlos Tartiere. It was a fundamental match: winning that, we would have had the mathematical certainty of taking part to the playoffs for Liga Adelante. I saw the guys before the match focused on this first objective. The match was very tough and balanced: the first half finished and no one could score a goal. But things changed in the second half when Alvaro scored his first goal of the season and we take the lead of the match! From that point on we had to protect the lead and we did that, even scoring the second goal in the injury time thanks to Pepe Diaz. Thanks to the stunning performance of my players, we were sure to play the playoffs!

Alvaro (24) during the match against Salamanca.

After this great achievement and before the big match of the month against Tenerife, we went to Getafe to face Getafe B, and we managed to win also that match thanks to our two main strikers, Cervero and Manu Busto. The goal scored by Diego was an historical one: it was the 119th goal scored by our captain, who became the best league scorer in Real Oviedo’s history!

Diego Cervero (28) celebrating the goal that made him enter the history of Real Oviedo.

Celebrations were mitigate by the incoming match against Tenerife, a match that could kill the league giving us a 16 points lead over our opponents. Immediately before the match, in the locker room Diego and I spur the guys to give their best on the pitch, even if it did not seem necessary: the players were excited by the big match and wanted to win that with all themselves! And they did, in a match that started wonderfully: Lucas Mendes scored after 10 minutes exploiting the perfect corner kick of Manu Busto. 16 minutes later, Cervero took advantage of a bounce in Tenerife’s box and scored the second goal of the match, the 35th of his wonderful season! But things became harder 10 minutes later, when the referee decided to send off Galder Cerrajeria for a bad foul, but maybe not so bad to justify a red card… One hour in ten with two goals to be defended… In that situation, all the guys gave even more than what they could: midfielders and defenders locked the goal and what they could not do, was done by our young goalie, Albi Ahmetaj, that showed how adult he is despite his 19 years age. Fear came 4 minutes before the 90’, when a lucky goal of Raul Llorente (his was more a cross than a shot) gave Tenerife the 1-2. But nothing changed after that, and at the end of the macth we could celebrate a stunning win!

Celebrations do not keep out the players focus, and 8 days after we went to Guijuelo and won also there, with a 2-0 signed by Stefano Guberti and Issa Yameogo.

This let us maintain our 16 points lead over Tenerife till the end of the month, with 7 matches still to play. Two wins will be enough to win the league and this will be the objective of the next month!

GO ON REAL OVIEDO!!!
Stefano Gagliardo.

MARCH MONTHLY REPORT: THE “NUMBER 3” MONTH
by acmilanfmnews.com

For A.C. Milan March can be called “The number 3 month”: this is the number of goals that the Rossoneri scored in 4 of the 5 matches played duringe the 3rd month of the year.
The first match was on the 2nd of March, when A.C. Milan hosted Palermo in San Siro and won 3-0 with the goals by Mbaye Niang, Giampaolo Pazzini and Maxime Gonalons.

Three days after Lille arrived in San Siro for the second match of the last 16 round of Uefa Champions League. The French started from the 2-1 away win and came to San Sito to defend their lead, but A.C. Milan won 3-1 heading to the quarterfinals (see the Gazzetta dello Sport article about this match), with the draw of the 15th of March saying that Milan would have faced Dortmund.

The celebrations for the great result keep Rossoneri’s mind off for some days, so that they could only achieve a 1-1 away draw against Parma in the next Serie A match.

Gagliardo’s anger for the result re-focused the players’ minds and A.C. Milan won the following two home Serie A matches 3-1 against Pescara and 3-0 against Atalanta, with the 6 goals scored by 5 different scorers.

Mbaye Niang (18) Scored the second goal against Pescara.

The 27th A.C: Milan board received the news that the match of the 29th against Napoli would have been delayed to the next month cause of many players attending their national team matches: a particular coincidence is the fact that both the match of the first leg and the one of the second against Napoli have been delayed by Serie A board.

Then, A.C. Milan finished the month keeping the first place in the league, but losing two points over Juventus that won all its matches. Next month Milan will exactly receive the Bianconeri in San Siro for the match that can be decisive for the Scudetto.

The last news regards the Under20 team of A.C. Milan: on the 18th the selections for the new season have been made and in particular a 16yo guy from impressed Gagliardo, a wing called Carlo Malizia.

Is he going to become a future star of the team? Time will tell us…
