APRIL MONTHLY REPORT: A “PAZZO” MILAN!
by acmilanfmnews.com

All Milan staff was aware that A.C. Milan was waited by a very difficult month when April started. When we were leaving from Malpensa to Dortmund, I knew that this would have been the first of a series of 7 difficult matches in less than 30 days.

Dortmund welcomed us with heavy rain. After leaving our luggage in the hotel, we went to Signal Iduna Park to have our last training before the match. The pitch was completely flooded, but the day after would have been the same, so we had to get used to that. We did not reach our aim… The day after, when the match started, I realized that the difficulties were not overcomed, and Ilkay Gundogan confirmed that scoring after 45 minutes in the first half. Neven Subotic put the accent on our problems scoring the second goal after 71 mins. 0-2 was not a good start for the Champions League quarterfinals, but I was still confident that we could overturn the result in the second match!

The day after, leaving Dortmund, I decided not to come back to Milano, but to go directly to Genova where 3 days after we had to face Genoa in Marassi. Due to the ranking of the opponent, this should have been the easiest match of the month, but on the other hand I needed to give some rest to many of my players as the second match against the Germans was waiting us 4 days after. We could win the match only thanks to a goal by the young Leon Goretzka: this guy is working hard and growing up a lot in this season!

Then, our minds went to the Champions League match. We worked hard to prepare the match and it started good, with my team attacking from the very first minute to score the goal that could make the qualification possible. Stephan El Shaarawy scored a wonderful goal with a stunning run in the middle of Dortmund’s defense after 40 minutes: the entire second half could be devoted to the goal that may equalize the match! But Dortmund toughly defended the result and we could not score the second goal, so we went out from the Champions League: our objective, the quarterfinals, had been reached and we did not fault in the two matches, I could be proud of my team!

From that point on, we could focus on the league and on the series of really difficult matches that was awaiting us: Roma, Napoli, Inter and Juventus, all in 14 days! We started wonderfully: Giampaolo Pazzini, “il Pazzo”, started his fantastic two weeks by scoring an hat-trick against Roma that destroyed the Giallorossi and gave us a stunning win!

Giampaolo Pazzini (28) scored an hat-trick against Roma.

On Wednesday we had the catch up of the 30th match day against Napoli. In the morning I called my brother, Stefano, to wish him Happy Birthday and he asked me as a gift to defeat the Azzurri in the evening and I promised I would have done that. It has been a crazy match, started by the goal of Giampaolo after 28 minutes and followed by the penalty missed by Stephan few minutes later. Then, before the end of the half, Edinson Cavani and Marek Hamsik, the two stars of Napoli, overturned the result: we ended the first half 1-2. I was angry, we could not lose in such a way and I let my player know what I was thinking! And they reacted wonderfully! Antonio Nocerino leveled the score after 10 mins in the second half and “il Pazzo” concluded the match scoring at 73’ his fifth goal in 4 days. We won the match 3-2 in San Paolo, obtaining a 10 point lead over Juventus: what a great result! My brother called me after the match to thank me for the win: I was very happy that I could won for him!

As often happens, we could not celebrate very match the win because few days after we had the derby against Inter. This had not been a triumph as the first one had been, we faced a draw signed by two ex of the match: to Giampaolo replied Antonio Cassano for the final 1-1. This reduced our lead to 8 points just before the match against the second in the league, Juventus.

The match against Bianconeri was characterized by the fear of both the teams, resulting in a really boring 0-0 draw that was better for us than for Juve, as we could maintain the 8 points distance.

The most difficult matches have passed and 4 matches and 6 points are separating us from the winning of the league. Go on guys, we can do that! And we can also win the double with Coppa Italia! Yes, we can!

APRIL MONTHLY REPORT: CHAMPIONS OF SEGUNDA B1!
by fm13oviedo.com

My dear Real Oviedo’s fans, we officially are the Champions of Segunda B1! What a wonderful result, unexpected at the beginning of the season! I am amazed of what my player managed to do this season and there are no words to say how much happy I am!

It is so strange to say that if we think about how the month started! The first match of the month we faced the first defeat of the season, losing 0-2 on Rayo B’s pitch: the worst match we have played till now! And one week after things do not go so much better: a 2-2 home draw against Caudal, not the best result ever…

Fortunately for us, Tenerife did not take so much an advantage of our bad week and we approached the home match against Real Madrid C with a 13 points lead over them and 5 match to the finish of the season: winning against the Blancos we could win the league! The guys were excited, so much that they start the match very bad taking a goal after 6 minutes. But they reacted and in 5 minutes, between 21’ and 25’, Marlon Ganchozo and Diego Cervero scored the two goals that let us take the lead of the match. Then, my players lost attention and took the second goal just before the end of the first half. My anger was clear and also the players’ disappointment, that they commute to willingness for winning that let them score the two goals that finally gave us the final 4-2 win and put that fantastic trophy in our hands! A special mention goes to Dzikamai Sadomba, this 17 yo center back that is growing up fast and managed to score his first goal during the match, the goal that let us take the lead in the second half!

Real Oviedo’s supporters celebrate the victory of their team.

Celebrations went on for all the week days and were the main cause of the following defeat against Coruxo, but the guys recovered attention the following match, winning 3-1 against Ourense at O Couto and finishing the month with a 10 points lead over Tenerife. A special mention for this two matches goes to Issa Yameogo, that despite his 16 age, could score 3 goals.

Next month we are awaited by the two final matches of the Segunda B1 season, but much more importantly by the playoffs for the promotion to Liga Adelante!

GO ON REAL OVIEDO!!!
Stefano Gagliardo.

THE END OF THE SEASON: PLAYOFF CHAMPIONS!
by fm13oviedo.com

Many things happened in the last 4 days of the season, between the beginning of May and the 16th of June, and here it is a summing up.

The new contract.
The first day of May the president of the team, Toni Fidalgo, sat on the bench to watch the training session and at the end of that, he asked me to talk. I received him in my modest office, where he told me: ”Stefano, you have done a wonderful job on Oviedo’s bench! I am glad I chose right when I decided that you were the perfect manager of my team. This is the reason why I would like to propose you a new two-year contract. What do you think about that?” What could I say? I accepted in 2 minutes and sign the new contract, thanking the president and really excited from the future I could have had with this wonderful team!

The end of the league.
After that great day, I had to focus on the pitch and in particular to the last two matches of the Segunda B1, to finish in a nice way the league. We obtained a 1-1 draw in Gijon against Sporting B and we finished with a 2-1 home win against Zamora.

These 4 points let us increase the record of points of Segunda B1 up to 100 points! What a stunning result! We ended with 10 points more than Tenerife, to which my compliments go because they played a wonderful season (you may think that the previous record of point was 83 and they finished with 90).

Our captain, Diego Cervero, ended the season as the top scorer of the league with the amazing amount of 41 goals and was also the player most often awarded as M.V.P., 13 times. Manu Busto arrived third in the top scorer ranking with 22 and first in the one concerning assists, with 16. Diego had also the best average evaluation of the league with 7.91, Manu the third with 7.55.

The Playoffs.
After a two-week stop we started to play in the playoffs for the promotion in Liga Adelante. As first in the league, we needed only to win in the semifinals to achieve the promotion, and the draw assigned us Cartagena as the team between us and the Liga Adelante. We won the first match in Nuevo Carlos Tartiere for 2-0, with two uncommon scorers: Manu Herrera and Wellington, our two center back of the match, with the Brazilian scoring is first goal with Oviedo’s shirt. The second match in Cartagena started wonderfully thanks to the double by Fabio Henrique in the first 18 minutes, the first two goals also for him. The match ended 2-1 and we could finally say we were going to Liga Adelante!

Celebrations at Nuevo Carlos Tartiere for the promotion in Liga Adelante.

Despite the objective was already achieved, the players maintain their concentration facing the final against Gimnastic Terragona, winning 3-0 the first match in Oviedo and losing 2-3 in Terragona only in the last minutes. Particular mention goes to the young Issa Yameogo who scored 3 goals in the two matches that let him finisch the season with 9 goals in 17 caps: not bad for a 16 yo guy!

The future.
Then, the season is finished and now we have to focus on the next one. The players are going to have a month holiday before starting the new adventure, while I am going to plan with the board the new season. Some talented youth has already been blocked for the next season together with the ones that entered our Under 20 team last march. Also some more experience players have been bought thanks to the Bosman rule to be ready for the Liga Adelante. But much more work has to be done in the next days to be able to safe our position in the second Spanish league and to prevent going back down to Segunda B1.

See you soon my dear fans! Cheers,
Stefano Gagliardo.

THE END OF THE SEASON: THE DOUBLE!
by acmilanfmnews.com

The 2012/2013 season has just ended and the last month has begun with the two-year contract renewal for the manager, Andrea Gagliardo. Exiting Milan HQ in via Turati, Mr. Gagliardo said: “I am glad to announce I have signed a new contract lasting in 2015. President Berlusconi and Mr. Galliani believe in me, I thank them for that, and I am confident we can even do better next year.”.

In the first match of May Milan defeated 2-0 Udinese in Udine, with a double by Giampaolo Pazzini: this result maintained the 8 points distance between Rossoneri and Juventus, so that a win in the following home match against Siena could assign the Scudetto to Gagliardo’s team.

The eve of the match was shocked by the request by Bojan Krkic to put an end to his loan contract: the Spanish Barcellona player did not fell sufficiently considered by the Rossoneri’s manager and wanted to go back to its team. The board satisfied the request. Milan’s player did not lose concentration on their objective and defeated Siena with a 1-0 signed, another time, by Pazzini, that gave the Rossoneri the Scudetto!

A.C. Milan players celebrates the 19th Scudetto in the streets of Milano.

In the last two matches of the league, Rossoneri’s minds were out from the competition and focused to the derby that would have represented the Coppa Italia’s final. Milan gained only one point in the home match against Catania, losing the previous away match against Cagliari, the first and only defeat in the league season.

Milan’s season end with 89 points, 9 more than Juventus, with the second best attack (73 goals, 1 less than Napoli) and defense (20 goals taken, 4 more than Juventus). Giampaolo Pazzini has been the second best scorer of the Serie A with 21 goals, 5 less than Edinson Cavani, while Mario Balotelli has been the second best assist-man with 10 assists, 2 less than Pablo Armero and Andrea Poli.

While Milan was facing Catania in the last season match, Milan U20 squad was winning the last match of its league, achieving the first place: another great result for A.C. Milan team! Six days after, Chelsea won 1-0 the Champions League final against Borussia Dortmund. The day after, Milan faced Inter in the Coppa Italia final. A very amazing match, whose 90 minutes finished with a 1-1 draw thanks to the goal by Rodrigo Palacio and Mbaye Niang. Five minutes after the beginning of the overtime, Mario Balotelli scored the 2-1 goal that resisted till the end of the match, giving the double to the Rossoneri!

Well, that’s all folks for this season, but the news for the next season are surely upcoming. See you soon on acmilanfmnews.com! And FORZA MILAN!!!

NOTE TO THE READERS
At the end of the season I encountered two bugs that I have already seen in my first save with FM13: i) my Milan’s team holidays ended the 15 of June instead of one month later (in the previous save, it happened for Oviedo) and ii) some players that I bought are said to join my team in 1/1/1900 (in the past?!?!?), while some youth that would have to join the team when coming 18 in 2015 or 2016 are going to do that on July 2013 (this happened also during the past transfer windows with the African guys of Oviedo).

I decided to go on as I started the story here, I am sorry for this but it is not my fault! :(
Unlucky mate :P

The transfer window is beginning… A look at Gagliardo’s brother plans – 30/06/2013

The summer transfer window is going to open in Italy and Spain and here we give you a look on what is going to happen to the teams of the two brothers that came to the news this season: Andrea and Stefano Gagliardo.

A.C. Milan - Andrea Gagliardo
After the double of the 2012/2013 season, Gagliardo started to plan the future obtaining the signs of some youth all around the world. His plan is clear: build the Milan of the future!

Up to now, and to what we came to know, 5 youth are going to join A.C. Milan on the 1st of July: Tonny Hendriks (17) from Ajax and Mrkus Muller (25) from Monaco 1860, center backs; Mirsad Bakovic (18), center midfielder; Lyes Chiha (15) and Valiant Virgili (16), strikers. This 5 will join another two talents who were already blocked by Gagliardo in the past transfer windows: Carlos Fierro (18) from Chivas and Adrian (19) from Villareal, both strikers.

Carlos Fierro (18) is joining the team the 1st of July.

The amount paid by the side for the whole group of players is said to be around 3.5M€. Among them, only Bakovic and Fierro seem to be ready to join the first squad, the other ones are supposed to be relegated to the U20 team.

More concerning the first team squad, Yepes is leaving the team for his contract being expired and will be replaced by Ahmed Traorè (20), that after 6 months on loan at Parma can grow up near his more experienced mates. Going to the midfield, Gagliardo has already used his buy-clause and offered 6,75M€ to have Maxime Gonalons (24) on his team after the last good season played by the French midfielder, who signed a 1,5M€ contract for the next 3 seasons. Probably another element will be add to this sector: rumors speak about Michael Essien (30), who is breaking out with Chelsea and may be of some interest to Gagliardo. The attacking sector seem to be ok with the arrival of Fierro: if no one leaves, no one is supposed to come.

Michael Essien (30) is rumored to pass from Chelsea to Milan.

Finally, this afternoon also the co-ownerships of some players have been discussed, the most important of which regarding Alberto Paloschi with Chievo being delayed to next year, with the striker staying with Mussi Volanti for another year. Among the others, Kevin Constant has been totally purchased by Genoa for 550k€, while Riccardo Saponara and Simone Verdi come back to Rossoneri for pennies.

Real Oviedo - Stefano Gagliardo
The promotion to Liga Adelante seem to precede a real revolution in Oviedo’s team! Six young talents have already been signed by Gagliardo and some other are on his list, together with more experienced players to face the difficult challenge of the second Spanish division.

The youth group is composed by Lorenzo (16) for the defense, Jorge Alvarez (15), Borja Goni (16), Pau (18) and Mauro Castellanos for the midfield, and Nyron Blaze (15) for the attack. These guys are going to join the Chinese right back Wei Xu (15), already blocked by Gagliardo in January, and German Llerena (16), young talent made in Oviedo youth sector. Most of, if not all, these players will join the U19 team or be sent on loan as not considered already ready for the Liga Adelante.

Gagliardo is said to have spent around 400k€ for the whole signings, an amount that had for sure dried all his finances. Then, coming to the first team, Gagliardo is starting to look at free transfers. He already blocked in January Francesco Renzetti (25) and Wilfred Osuji (22) from Padova, left back and center midfielder, respectively, purchased for free as their contracts were expiring in 6 months.

Francesco Renzetti (25) is joining Oviedo the 1st of July.

Rumors tell that Gagliardo already signed for free also the Argentinian right midfielder Alejandro Gagliardi (23) from Rosario Central and the center back Croatian center back Eldin Dzinic (27) from Charleroi, but we still need confirmation to this. Moreover, Gagliardo seem interested to purchase a more experienced goalkeeper to face the new league, despite the great performances of the young Albi Ahmetaj, and someone in the midfield, where a more talented and expert man seems to be required.

Finally, some players are obviously going to leave the team both for financial and numbering reasons. Orlando Quintana (32) and Javi Casares (29) had already left the team with the expiring of their contracts. Moreover, Xavi Moré (31) and Iker Alegre (27) have already asked to leave the team and Gagliardo is ready to let them go, even if no interests are actually known on the three. Some other players, such as for example Alvaro (24), Javi Cantero (25) and Galder Cerrajeria (24) seem not to be ready for Liga Adelante and will be probably sold to other teams. Moreover, if Gagliardo finds out a goalkeeper satisfying his requisites, Heinz Urban (19) is probably going to be sent on loan with some other youth to have some 1st team caps.

Xavi Moré (31) has been listed under his personal request.
It looks like he is busy with transfers! :)
Fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiieeeeeeeeeerooooooooooooooooooooooooo
2013-05-09 18:19#99089 Justice96 : It looks like he is busy with transfers! :)
Just a little bit of revolution for Oviedo... :P

2013-05-09 18:25#99098 Toon : Fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiieeeeeeeeeerooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Let's hope he is going to be a great scorer in the future, Balotelli and Jovetic score less than I was expecting... ;) In FM12 he was achieved by Juventus and was great!

Market is now! The news of the first day…

The transfer market started this morning in Spain and the day of our manager, Stefano Gagliardo, has been a really busy one: his revolution in Oviedo’s team has officially started!

In the morning, Gagliardo has received in his office at Nuevo Carlos Tartiere a group of players of the team for communicating them that they had been officially transfer listed. The names are the ones of the Nigerian center back Lucien Owona, the left back Alvaro, the left midfielder Javi Cantero, the center midfielder Galder Cerrajeria and the striker Pepe Diaz, who join the two side midfielders Xavi Moré and Iker Alegre who were already listed under their requests. Interests do not seem to grow up on the group of players: Ferrol as a weak interest on both Alvaro and Cantero, Lleda Esportiu on Lucien Owona, while Mirandes and Lugo seem to be really interested on Pepe Diaz. We are going to see in the next days what is going to happen to these players.

In the early afternoon, one after another come the new arrivals for the team. Here it is a little presentation for each of them:

The youngest and maybe the most interesting in perspective, this right wing can become a great man for the future of Real Oviedo. Comes from Gimnastica.

The unique non-Spanish of the group is this very young striker coming from Ajaccio. Good technical skills, he may grow up wonderfully with Gagliardo.

Almost 19 yo, this right back shows good technical and pace skills. Coming from Murcia, he will be probably sent on loan to play.

Gagliardo needed experience in the center of his defense, and he found on the free list this Slovenian guy with good marking and mental skills. Together with Wellington and Sadomba he will have the due to block opponents’ strikers.

Coming from Argentinian team Lanus, Ferreira is a very tall young center back with good marking and heading skills. He has to grow up a little bit in their physical qualities, but has wide range of improvement.

This Argentinian right midfielder comes from Rosario Central who let him go away for free. Good in pace, crossing and without-ball moves, will fight for a place on the right side against Fabio Henrique.

Center midfielder with good technical and brave skills, and fantastic determination. Comes from Las Palmas together with Pau.

Center back with good heading and determination skills, comes from Elche C.F.

Coming from Padova together with Renzetti, he grown up in A.C. Milan’s youth sector and has good experience in Italian second division. Can be a good add in Oviedo’s midfield.

This Hungarian guy comes from Videoton where he still add some 1st team caps. Very good marking and heading abilities for this center back, he can also be ready for some caps in Liga Adelante.

Defending midfielder with good technical and pace skills, can be ready for some caps during the season. Comes from Las Palmas.

Coming from Padova, this good and quite experienced center back may help the young Oviedo group to grow up and to fight for staying in Liga Adelante.

Really good technical skills for this young Chinese right back compared to his age. Coming from Guangzhou, he can be a good add to Oviedo in perspective.

Revolution seems not to be finished in Real Oviedo. Rumors say that Gagliardo is looking for some other players, in particular for a more experienced goalkeeper and also a striker to add to his numerically poor attacking sector. Cash is almost completely done as Gagliardo spent a large amount of money last year and the board seem to have given him less than 200k€ cash to spend on the market, so Oviedo’s manager will have to look at the free transfer list to find the men who fit his needs.
