I would say that the furthest we will get in this competition is the first round. FC Twente are a side who are consistently playing in Europe and have a strong side. I have to admit too that I would not be bothered if we exited the competition at this early stage as it would mean more time for the players recuperate and be fresh for the more vital games come the end of the season. Even though this is my thinking I still intend on putting out a side that is capable of putting up a challenge against the former Dutch champions.

I am not too sure that it is going to be as easy as you two are making out. Although, I never expected us to get a single goal in the competition nevermind get this far. Steve Mclaren is still their manager on the save, I am worried he wouldn't understand me if I didn't replicate his dutch accent from that infamous interview.

Could this month have gone any worse? The sheer number of games and travelling that we have had to undertake has taken on a huge toll on my players fitness; what I mean is that they are shattered and don’t look like recovering for a very long time. This doesn’t help to say that our next two games are against Chelsea and Manchester United; not what we need in order to turn round this bad run of form. I am going to have to move a player or two on during this transfer window and bring in one or two midfielders as we are lacking in that department. I was unable to find that creative spark for the middle of the field and it shows without very poor number of goals scored (10 goals in 19 games). I am desperate to do well with this side but all I can envisage at the minute is a very steep decline down the table and heading for the relegation zone. I better get my transfer hat on and find that player to turn round our season.

I cannot single out any player who has played well this month so the Player of the Month feature will not be used this month. That kind of sums it all up at the moment.

The league table position might look very positive to say we were just promoted but it is going to take a lot of effort to raise the player’s morale after a month like that. I think winning the Premier League is quite a few seasons off yet unfortunately. Thanks for reading.
I think the Champions League spots are a long shot, however, if we continue to keep winning games, even if it is a boring 1-0, the points will keep heading in the right direction. Thanks for reading.

I think that last month is the only one I can complain about for a very long time. I just hope the players move on from it and start to get back to winning ways. Thanks for reading as always Blue.

There is a sense of relief that we are out of the cups. The extra games were creating a huge strain on our fitness levels. We need to make sure that the players are fit for upcoming key Premier League games. Thanks for reading as always Pauker.

I do tend to set my team out to hassle the opponents which can see us give away too many fouls. My players's tackling attributes aren't too cracking either so it is something I do look to improve in the squad. Thanks for reading.
