FA Cup Fifth Round Draw

Match Review


I cannot even explain to you how this is even possible. The only question I have is...Gareth Bale who? The Tottenham Hotspur team did not even look like they wanted to win. Despite changing to a 4-2-4 formation none of their players put in any effort whatsoever and actually made it quite easy for us. I was determined to get a match against a big club and see how we could do. Now we have played against a big club and showed that we can put up a fight and not be pushed over. It is a fantastic result for the club as a whole and I will be looking forward to hopefully getting a home tie again and for it to be against the last remaining big club...Manchester United.

I actually couldn't believe that we managed to beat them. Yes it was only 1-0 but it was against a team which was challenging for a top four place. Thanks for reading and all your comments so far Blue; it is greatly appreciated.

The highlight of this month simply has to be the match against Tottenham Hotspur. The spirit we showed as a club was unquestionable. We kept fighting for the win and we were rewarded. The rest of the performances have been of that same high standard that the club have shown in recent months. It is great to see the club exceeding all expectations and showing that we are a team to be reckoned with. We are currently doing very well in the league and I can see us coming away with at least a playoff spot which I see as an amazing achievement; especially as the fans, pundits, board of directors and bookmakers expected us to be struggling with relegation. Let’s hope this good form can continue into the next month, especially with the cup tie against Manchester United coming up.

FA Cup Sixth Round Draw

Match Review


I am absolutely speechless. We have managed to knock out the most successful British team out of one of the most famous cup competitions in the world. We were 4-0 up by 51 minutes! I couldn’t believe that I was seeing in front of me. I have never been so nervous in the build up to a game. The team were absolutely shattered even before the match so I dread to think how they are feeling right now. It was an extremely nerve racking last few minutes in the game, especially when United pulled it back to 4-3. That signalled to me to put everyone in defence and just shut up shop which we thankfully managed to do. United had put out an extremely strong side with the front line being led by Robin Van Persie, Wayne Rooney and Danny Welbeck. You could fault Sir Alex Ferguson who did not have David De Gea in goal but I don’t think that would have mattered as we were just unstoppable. What a result!
Could we possibly win the FA Cup?
