Unfortunately, Rafa got the job!, However on with the story.

Cazorla, Van Der Wiel and Parejo leave as Diaby and Podolski exit on Loan

Santi Cazorla left in a deal worth 8m, Gregory Van Der Wiel for 9m and Dani Parejo for 6.5m. These transfers have come as no suprise as all players sold have had replacements signed in just a few weeks previous. As for Lukas Podolski and Abou Diaby both players were expected to leave on a permanent basis but with no interest both have left on loan, Both Diaby and Podolski will have their wages paid in full and Podolski's loan will have 200k per month paid to Arsenal, Whilst Diaby loan will provide 120k per month to Arsenal.

Transfer Window Overview

Tom Ince - 5.75M
Christian Eriksen - Free

Chris Smalling - 16M
Jordy Clasie - Free

Weird to see Cazorla leaving at such a low price. Dani Parejo would've been okay if you would've put a buy black clause. Same goes with Jenkinson and Coquelin :P. Good luck for the next season!

Arsenal take Shield spoils with Penalties Victory

Arsenal 1 - 1 Liverpool (3 - 2 On Penalties) - English Community Shield

Arsenal ran out victorious but only on Penalties in this Community Shield tie

Liverpool battled hard but despite equalizing after going 1-0 down were unable to complete the comeback with a win. Arsenal took the lead on 5 minutes with a beautifully crafted move capped by a 25-yard pile driver from Robert Lewandowski. Arsenal looked comfortably in possession and were dominating the creation of chances but a failed attempt on goal in the 80th minute saw Liverpool break quickly and earn a corner which was turned in by the head of Sebastien Coates on 81 minutes.

Neither team capitalized with a number of chances in extra-time, most notably an open goal miss from Luis Suarez after rounding a flat-footed Wojiech Szczesny.

After the match, Le Fondre had said;

It's a great feeling, It really gives us momentum going into the opener of the season against Q.P.R in a weeks time and the European Super Cup vs United in a fortnight, Although not considered a top prize in football, The community shield is nice to win, It's nice to win all competitions available and I think both sides deserve respect for the football they played today.
So you brought the real Adam Le Fondre to Arsenal with you? :P

Great story so far and no surprise at all it is on course for a SotM nomination. Keep going!

Arsenal Lose Out On Super Cup As Groups Are Drawn

Arsenal 0 - 1 Manchester United

On a mild night at the Cardiff City Stadium, Manchester United ran out fortunate winners over Arsenal with a 1 - 0 victory.

The game was back and forth right through the first half, with both teams playing good football and creating plenty of chances, But after half-time Arsenal appeared to get a grip of the game and were outraged to have TWO goals disallowed. However after the game replays showed officials to be correct. One of the few United chances in the second half they managed to capitalize on and in the 89th minute Neymar broke free of the last man and deftly lifted the ball into the top-right corner.

The game was now dead and buried Arsenal pushed forward a couple more times looking for the vital equalizer but the United back four held strong and didn't allow anything through.

During the game, This season's UEFA Champions League groups were drawn;
You should top that CL group fairly easily, however CSKA and Gala can be a pain to play in the away games. Tough luck in the Super Cup against United, shit happens :/

Thankyou All

League Table

Good Months, for Le Fondre climbing to 2nd in the league, Unfortunate to lose the European Super Cup, But good win against Liverpool should hopefully give them the momentum for the upcoming season, Le Fondre told the press;

I am happy with the start we have made to the season but no more, I hoped we could grab an early lead on the title chase and push on with it, But United have performed a little better than us and deserve their position. Whilst you are all here I'd like to announce a new signing Aymen Fathy will be joining the club in the summer. We have signed this young Egyptian lad for just one million and he looks to be one of the brightest talents Egypt has ever produced, He will hopefully be loaned out upon his arrival and once returns in the summer able to cement a good position in the clubs squad.

It is believed Aymen Fathy will join the club with wages around 8-9 thousand per week.
It's a pity you aren't top of the league but I know you can go top!

Thankyou all for putting me to 3rd in this list, I can't explain how happy I am with the interest I'm getting from you all in this story :D
Good work on getting on the podium, Jynx. Won't be the last time!
