December Report

Team
It was a month that saw Brighton fail to pick up 3 points any where. Needless to say i immensely proud of the Everton and Arsenal result. I went mental when Brian Hand equalised 4 minutes into added time, but it should never have got to that position, what being 3-1 up at one point.
We slipped up against Villa, but we picked ourselves up and earned a good point at the Reebok.
Ending the month on a 3-0 loss to Man Utd was a bit disappointing, but we were never expecting to beat them, and we shall look at what's wrong, dust ourselves off and prepare for the F.A cup tie against West Brom.

Individual
I have particularly impressed with Simon Cox this month, he has been holding the ball up well and finding his team mates without fail. Also, George Elokobi has been in fine form, he has shut down nearly everyone who has faced him down the right wing.
Beram Kayal has angered with yet another sending off and i will have to do something about that, that must be his 3rd sending off this season. We are only in December and that is totally unacceptable.

League
The lack of points saw us slip down to 17th in the league, relegation is a no-go for this season.
Hard luck this month but I know you can avoid relegation! :)

January Review

Team It's been a mixed start to the new year, winning games i wasn't expecting and losing games we should have got a point for. Starting January with the 4-0 victory over West Brom was the perfect way to begin the new year, and i really thought it was the start of a revival. But losing the next two without scoring a single goal saw us come crashing back down to earth. We should have got something from the Norwich game, we've beaten them before and we really should have done it again, but two goals on the break proved to be decisive. The win of the Season so far has to be the 4-2 victory over Chelsea, considering they have beaten us 3-0 and 2-0, winning 4-2 at the Amex was truly something. We end the month where we began, with a game against West Brom, only this team the baggies came away victorious, but underservadly. Carlton Cole's goal was massively offside, but the linesman deemed it to stand and that cost us three points.

Individuals
I have to say, i have again be impressed by Simon Cox. His hat-trick against Chelsea was a dream performance, and he quite rightly got an Ireland call-up for it. No other players have been hugely impressive, although Paul Hawkins has been showing some promise, and he will be expected to start a few more games now.

League
The two wins at Wigan and Chelsea saw us rise up to 15, and there is where we occupy at the moment. It's not the best, but it will do to be going on with.

February Review

Team
Only a short month, but still one of the best months we have had as a club. Losing 3-2 to Swansea to was a bit of a kick, but we picked ourselves up expertly. When we travelled to 5th place Reading on the 7th, we really had low hope for ourselves and expected to get relegated this season. Little did we expect to emerge victorious, score 5 and keep a clean sheet. The good form saw us through to the 5th round of the F.A cup with a 1-0 victory at St. Mary's. Finishing the short month with a 0-0 draw against Tottenham was the icing on the cake, we really deserved to win this game and it was only due to Lloris (who got the man of the match award) that we came away without scoring. If the remainder of the months continue like this, we should expect mid-table.

Individuals
Adam Le Fondre has carried us through most of this month, up front along with Simon Cox they are currently proving to be a feisty duo. Paul Hawkins, though only young, looks like he is playing with bags of experience to his name. His continually good performances makes him star man for the month.

League
Picking up 4 points from 9 has moved us up into 12th place, and more importantly we are ahead of Liverpool (14th).
